Patent number: 5312047Abstract: A spraying device for dousing the blade chamber of a rotary lawn mower to effect cleaning thereof. An annular, D-shaped conduit is secured to the ground by a centrally disposed stake. The stake orients the flat portion of the D-shaped conduit against the ground, providing a low profile in order for the mower to be positioned over the spraying device. The annular conduit has a plurality of orifices disposed on the top surface defining first and second annular formations. The first annular formation upwardly directs a controlled spray pattern perpendicular to the ground, while the second annular formation upwardly and outwardly directs a controlled spray pattern preferably 45.degree. from the perpendicular. A valved extension conduit in communication with the annular conduit is releasably coupled to a water source such as a garden hose connected to a water faucet for supplying the spraying device with pressurized water.Type: GrantFiled: November 9, 1993Date of Patent: May 17, 1994Inventor: Louis A. Patent number: 4824019Abstract: This invention relates to an automatic sprinkler system for watering the lawn or vegetable gardens. The lawn-border sprinkler comprises a longitudinal member including a plurality of conduits, disposed in a parallel configuration wherein the top most conduit is divided into a plurality of separate compartments, each of which compartments includes a series of minute holes through the wall of the conduit. Each of the compartments in the top-most conduit is connected to separate supply conduit comprising an exclusive combination of said plurality of the conduits disposed parallel to the top-most compartment; whereby, a manifold valve controlling the water flow through each of the supply conduit supplying the water to each of the compartments with sprinkling holes controls the time-wise sprinkling pattern of each of the sprinkling compartments.Type: GrantFiled: April 25, 1983Date of Patent: April 25, 1989Inventor: Hyok S. Patent number: 4371113Abstract: An irrigation system is constructed from PVC pipe which is tapped into a main waterline buried beneath the surface of the earth. The main waterline is constructed from sections of plastic irrigation pipe having male and female coupling ends, and holes are drilled in the coupled portions of the main waterline pipes so as to permit insertion of water distributing PVC pipes. By drilling the holes in the coupled portions of the main waterline, a double wall thickness is provided for strength into which is insertable PVC nipples which in turn are connectible to PVC risers extending above the ground. PVC emitter pipes may then be connected to the risers through the use of nipples or alternatively, the emitter pipes and risers may be of a unitary, integral construction. A plurality of orifices are provided in the emitter pipes so as to facilitate the distributing of water across the surface of the ground.Type: GrantFiled: September 16, 1980Date of Patent: February 1, 1983Inventor: Woodrow M.
