  • Patent number: 4764312
Abstract: A hospital room humidification system operated from an outside source of pressurized oxygen and/or other gas for increasing the humidity of the ambient air in the room. The humidification system includes a collapsible bag for containing a quantity of water in a condition sealed from the environment of the room, an atomizing nozzle formed with separate liquid and gas passageways, a first adapter for coupling the atomizing nozzle to the water containing bag, and a second adapter for selectively coupling the atomizing nozzle to the outside pressurized gas source. The atomizing nozzle is operable for causing the pressurized gas flow discharging from the air passageway to break the flow of liquid discharging from the liquid passageway into fine liquid particles and to directly dispense such particles into the air of the room in the form of a mist and in a manner which significantly increases the humidity of the ambient air in the room.

  • Patent number: 4701286
Abstract: An apparatus for dispensing a water treating composition into the recirculating water of an evaporative system, such as an evaporative cooler. The water treating composition is contained in a container that is suspended in an inverted condition within the housing of the evaporative cooler with the outlet of the container facing downwardly. One end of a drip line is connected through a sealed closure to the interior of the container, and the opposite end of the drip line terminates above the level of water in the reservoir of the evaporative cooler. A manually adjustable needle valve is connected in the drip line and controls the gravity feed of the liquid composition through the drip line to the reservoir. Through the addition of the treating composition, scaling problems in the evaporative system are minimized, corrosion is eliminated and growth of bacteria and algae is inhibited.

  • Patent number: 4682715
Abstract: A detachable shoe accessory for dispensing lure directly onto the ground for attracting animals or camouflaging one's own scent. It consists of a container from which deer lure or other scent camouflaging liquid is gradually dispensed onto an elongated, flexible, absorbent applicator, which is drug along the ground during walking activity, thereby leaving a scented trail along one's path.

  • Patent number: 4657709
Abstract: Improved water distribution troughs are disclosed for use in the cooler pad assemblies of evaporative coolers. The troughs are provided with a primary channel and at least one secondary channel both of which are coextensive in a side-by-side relationship longitudinally of the trough and both are provided with multiple water outlets. The coextending plural channels provided in the troughs results in improved water distribution capabilities so that they can be used to overcome the water distribution problems of the large cooler pad assemblies used in industrial size evaporative coolers. The troughs can also be used in the relatively small pad assemblies of residential size evaporative coolers with such use providing overflow protection in the event of restricted water outlet flow resulting from mineral deposition and the like.

  • Patent number: 4210286
Abstract: A liquid weed killer dispenser is disclosed. The dispenser is adapted to be mounted on and disposed about a pole such as a telephone or telegraph pole. The dispenser includes a box-like holder for water and a weed killer which is dispersible in the water. The holder has a recessed top which defines a rain water receiving perforated tray through which the rain water can flow into the holder. The top is readily removable from the holder. Weed killer containers, such as bags, are disposed in the holder. The containers are connected to the top so as to be removable with it from the holder and readily replaceable. The dispenser also includes a liquid distributor which includes a pair of tubes.

  • Patent number: 4185782
Abstract: A dual purpose sprayer and spreader device capable of selectively distributing either granular or liquid material upon the ground being traversed. The device includes a hopper supported for travel over the ground, the hopper having a discharge opening in the bottom thereof through which granular material from the hopper falls by gravity onto a rotary impeller which throws the material laterally, the impeller being driven by the ground wheels. To distribute a liquid, a container of liquid, (such as a flexible bag) is inserted in the hopper, the bag having a dispensing tube extending from the lower end thereof, which tube extends through the discharge opening at the bottom of the hopper. The hopper is also provided with a slidable gate which controls the size of the discharge opening from fully open to fully closed and when the tube extends therethrough, the gate functions as a valve for opening and closing the tube.

  • Patent number: 4131232
Abstract: The specification discloses a dispenser for automatically mixing controlled amounts of liquid additive to the shower water. The dispenser is attachable to the water inlet pipe of an ordinary shower head and includes a plastic refillable container for holding the liquid additive and dispensing it under the flow of gravity. A valve is positioned over the mouth of the receptacle for controlling the flow of liquid additive. A dispensing tube assembly communicates with the valve for allowing liquid additive to flow by gravity to a portion of the dispensing tube extending subjacent the nozzles of the shower head. A first series of discharge openings along the bottom portion of the dispensing tube assembly drips a continuous flow of liquid additive into the stream of shower water after it exits from the nozzle.
