  • Patent number: 11865555
Abstract: The spray nozzle includes a body, which has a fluid inlet region and a fluid outlet orifice, and which houses: a core, internally defining a passage, of increasing cross-section, in communication with the outside substantially at the point of its smallest cross-section, resulting in a Venturi effect, an insert, provided with an outlet slot defining the opening angle of the nozzle, the core and the insert being at a distance from one another and forming therebetween a working chamber. The nozzle further includes a splitter, housed in the working chamber, arranged to form an obstacle to the flow of the fluid, the splitter having two axial orifices, each forming a fluid passage, on either side of a radial plane, such that the two streams passing through the orifices of the splitter combine and then impinge the surface of the outlet slot of the insert, ultimately generating a flat jet.

Abstract: A fan jet nozzle for use with an ultra high pressure liquid-phase cleaning media for use in a deflashing apparatus includes a nozzle tip, which is made of a super hard material such as diamond, and is secured inside a nozzle holder through sintering. Upper and lower nozzle bores above and beneath the nozzle tip are processed to converge and communicate with each other inside the nozzle tip, resulting in a center nozzle hole having an elliptical shape. One of the upper and lower nozzle bores is processed into a circular cone shape, and the other one of the upper and lower nozzle bores is processed to have an arched longitudinal sectional shape and a cross sectional shape wherein its width increases toward a center thereof and decreases toward both sides thereof.

Abstract: A spraying system is provided including a spray gun and a spray nozzle. The spray gun has a discharge end. A locating pin is arranged on the discharge end of the spray gun. The spray nozzle is selectively mountable on the discharge end of the spray gun. The spray nozzle has a discharge orifice configured to produce a asymmetrically distributed fluid discharge pattern wherein the location of maximum fluid discharge is offset from the center of the fluid discharge pattern. The spray nozzle has an alignment notch extending along an outer surface of the spray nozzle. The locating pin is arranged on the spray gun and the alignment notch is arranged on the spray nozzle such that when the spray nozzle is mounted on the discharge end of the spray gun in a predetermined orientation the locating pin extends into the alignment slot.

Abstract: A fuel injection valve for internal combustion engines, has a valve body with a pressure chamber that can be filled with fuel under pressure. Embodied in the valve body is at least one injection conduit, which originates at the wall of the pressure chamber, where it forms an injection opening; the injection conduit connects the pressure chamber with the combustion chamber of the engine. By means of a valve needle, the injection opening can be closed or opened. The injection opening of the injection conduit has a cross section in the form of an oblong slot, so that the injection of the fuel into the combustion chamber is optimized.

  • Patent number: 6742730
Abstract: A spray nozzle for producing an asymmetrically distributed fluid discharge pattern such as for use in a container coating application is provided. The spray nozzles includes a body portion having an internal fluid passageway which terminates in a substantially hemispherical dome shaped end wall. A discharge orifice is provided in the end wall which is produced by superimposing on each other an approximately round opening and an elongated opening having opposed rounded ends. The round opening and the elongated opening defining respective edges of the discharge orifice which extend at different angles relative to a longitudinal axis of the fluid passageway. The resulting orifice produces a fluid discharge pattern wherein the amount of fluid discharged tapers in a continuous, non-linear manner from the location of maximum discharge to points of minimum flow at either end of the discharge pattern.

  • Patent number: 6612509
Abstract: The present invention relates to a nozzle intended for the application of fluid materials, which at a front end thereof has an aperture opening into a slot. A central portion of the slot is functioning to release most of the material straight ahead. Furthermore, the slot has side portions functioning to release material in sideway directions. In a preferred embodiment, the front end is shaped like a truncated cone with a flat top, in which the slot is formed. The slot is thus divided into three straight portions with the central portion in the flat top and the angle of the side portions defined by the top angle of said cone. Under certain conditions, the jets of material released from the various portions are held together by a surface tension. As most of the material is released from the central portion, the jets from the angled side portions will be deflected towards the center jet, resulting in a jet with a relatively even width, and a resultant coating being thickest in the middle.
