Abstract: An impact-driven threaded nail includes a threaded portion with a lead angle of about 45°, the threaded portion being defined along an outer circumference of a nail shank that includes a first end defined as a pointed tip; and a head having a larger diameter than the nail shank, the head being integrally provided at a second end of the nail shank, wherein a tapered portion of the head on a back-surface side in continuation with the nail shank is defined in a pyramidal shape having one of regular pentagonal to octagonal cross-sections with a diameter decreasing gradually toward the nail shank, and the threaded nail is configured to be impact-driven and rotate into a mounting member when impacted.

Abstract: A bonding washer for making electrical connection between two metal pieces that are to be mechanically fastened together. The washer, to be interposed between the two metal pieces, may be constructed so as to fasten to one of the pieces before the two pieces are joined. Teeth on the washer, positioned at right angles to the plane of the washer, are forced into each of the two metal pieces when the fastener is tightened, making electrical connection between the two metal pieces.

Abstract: A fastener connects two strings together, such as the drawstring of sweatpants or the two shoe lace strings ends of respective shoe lace strings in a pair of sneakers. The body of the fastener is made out of a material, such as highly dense polyurethane foam, that is strong, yet flexible, or of a rigid plastic, that is strong, yet flexible. The two strings to be fastened pass through one or more gripping and/or locking holes in the fastener body. When the shoelace is passed through the gripping and/or locking holes, the dense polyurethane foam grips the lace tightly. The free ends are pulled through one or more peripheral slits extending towards, but not all the way to, the gripping and/or locking holes and then bent against the upper outer surface of the disk and locked in place in the respective one or more peripheral locking slits.

Abstract: A tie link for securing a necktie is disclosed. The tie link includes a flexible link insertable through a strap on a necktie and extending a length which spans from a first shirt button hole to a second shirt button hole on a shirt. The tie link has a plurality of retention devices coupled to the flexible link. The retention devices extend perpendicular to the flexible link and are insertable into a respective plurality of button hole slots on the shirt. A method of securing a necktie is also disclosed.

Abstract: A supporting device to a display apparatus to prevent a wire from separating from a wire hanger. The supporting device to fix the display apparatus to a wall includes a wire part coupled to the display apparatus, a wire hanger mounted to the wall, the wire hanger to hang the wire part on the wall, and a separation protector provided at the wire hanger, the separation protector serving to prevent the wire part from separating from the wire hanger.

Abstract: The disclosure is directed to a rope clamping device, which is made up of the following elements: a central bar, two threaded bolts, two grooved wheels, two large clamps, eight metal washers, and four nuts. The device allows a rope, chain, or cable to pass over a grooved wheel, wherein the rope is held securely when a clamp is released onto the grooved wheel. There is a second clamp and grooved wheel on the opposing side of the device. When both clamps have engaged the rope, chain or cable, the loop of rope, chain or cable is held securely. This is done to serve as an alternative to traditional knot tying in order to quickly and easily secure an object with a rope, chain or cable.

Abstract: A rope buckle includes a first clamping plate and a second clamping plate, substantially parallel to each other, a through hole and a pivot seat disposed on both ends of the first clamping plate respectively, a position limit module disposed adjacent to the through hole, a positioning rod pivotally installed to an end of the second clamping plate and passed through the through hole of the first clamping plate, and whose end being secured by a fixing nut, and a press module having a press rod provided for passing a first pivot to pivotally install a pivot seat of the first clamping plate, and an end of the press rod is extended to a position positioned by the position limit module, and another end of the press rod is pulled at the second clamping plate for clamping and fixing the second clamping plate and the first clamping plate.

Abstract: A detachable synthetic rope connector with connector body, bale, main load pin sub assembly, and a restraining load sub assembly that permits the use of large diameter synthetic and other mooring components such as cable and chain on offshore work vessels without specialized deck equipment. The inventive connector allows for safe and redundant restraint of a mooring segment in order to provide transfer of the tension load while providing connection features that simplify separation and the reduction of safety risks to vessel working personnel and the environment, and the features allow for the connector to be separated easily while the portion holding the rope is restrained while the bale can be removed.

Abstract: A one-piece construction ring-post fastener is provided for bundling and securing elongate objects such as electrical wires, tubes or hoses. The ring-post fastener includes an axially aligned post, a plurality of spokes radially projecting from the post, and a ring affixed to the ends of the spokes. The ring-post fastener further includes constructions for affixing the post to the support surface, such as male threads of a threaded fastener projecting from one end of the post. Preferably, the end opposite the male threads include female threads of a threaded fastener sized and configured for receipt of the male threads located at the opposite end of the post. Attaching the male and female threads of the threaded fasteners together enables the multiple ring-post fasteners to be stacked upon themselves. Preferably, the one-piece ring post is constructed of a plastic material, such as Nylon 6/6 per ASTM D4066.

Abstract: A multipurpose rope clamp may be attached to a support or suspended from a rail as desired. The clamp provides clamping channel in an open channel between a back plate and a front tongue. Rope is prevented from slipping out of the mouth of the channel by rope guides defining open rope guide channels which open in a direction opposed to the rope gripping channel to form a partial cover for the rope gripping channel. The guides may be lugs spaced to either side of the front tongue so that a bight of rope may be manipulated behind the lugs into the rope gripping channel. Preferably another rope guide channel is provided to form a bight of rope in the clamp into a U-shape.

Abstract: A stand for holding a cut tree in an upright position includes a bowl for receiving the cut end of the tree trunk such that it rests on the base wall of the bowl. Three legs are equally spaced apart from each other around the perimeter of the bowl and are integrally formed at their distal ends with the side wall of the bowl. Each leg has a foot located proximate its distal end for contacting the floor of the facility in which the tree is to be erected such that the only portion of the stand in contact with the facility floor are the soles of the feet. The tree is maintained in the upright position by guys interconnecting the tree trunk to the legs proximate the distal ends of the legs. The stand also includes a device for adjusting the length of the guys so that adjustments can be easily made and the tree will be plumb.

Abstract: The invention provides a clothes drying apparatus with a central post member, a collar member axially displaceably mounted on the supporting post member and a plurality of support arms. A plurality of clothes line portions of a first clothes line extend between the support arms.Operating means are provided to spread the support arms from a rest position into an extended position in which the clothes line portions extending between the support arms are in an essentially stretched condition. In order to provide the possibility to dry a few pieces of clothing only without the need of putting the entire apparatus into its operative position, a supply of a second clothes line may be pulled out from the apparatus and fixed at a distantly located anchoring member. Upon releasing the end of the second clothes line, it is automatically drawn back. During use it may be locked at the top of the clothes drying apparatus.

Abstract: In the fishline holder, the holding member support portion has a through hole with a first diameter portion continuous to a larger second diameter portion or recess. The stem of the fishline holding member is slideably positioned in the through hole. A groove is provided at the lower end of the stem of the holding member. The fishline holding spring is engaged in the groove of the stem and the ends of the spring are supported on the inside surface of the outer wall of the body of the fishing reel or the inside surface of the holding member support. Since the holding spring engaged in the groove serves not only to hold the holding member from coming off, an exclusive component part for preventing the holding member from coming off does not need to be provided. Also, the fishline holder can be easily assembled and the cost of manufacturing is reduced.

Abstract: An anchor member for detachably securing a rope having a loop at one end to a boat includes a member of sheave-like design having a circumferential groove to seat the rope loop. The member is largely enclosed by a cover having a peripheral flange forming an internal chamber open at one end and only slightly radially larger than the member. The flange has a circumferential opening wide enough to permit both sides of the loop to pass through it when the loop is seated in the groove. The cover is secured to the member for both rotation and axial movement and resiliently biased to telescopically seat over the member and substantially cover the groove but easily lifted by an operator to expose the groove for attachment and removal of the rope.

Abstract: A lock slidable in one direction over a cable, while locking against motion in the opposite direction over the cable. The lock includes a lock body having an axial opening with the cable receivable therethrough, the body further defining three slots radiating outwardly from the opening with each of the slots having an outer wall tapered in the same direction. A disk is provided in each of the slots and is biased toward the direction of the taper of the slot outer wall. The outer periphery of each of the disks is beveled and/or has threads winding around the periphery.

Abstract: A high-strength fibrous tape and clamping device therefor to effect the termination and/or splicing thereof. The device comprises a cylindrical body portion and a pair of semicircular plug halves which are retained proximal to the body portion and which cooperate to securely grip the tape in a gradual arcuate path without the use of excessive clamping pressures that would normally cause substantial reductions in the tape's tensile strength. The plug halves have opposed generally flat mating surfaces and oppositely disposed convex arcuate surfaces. The halves are retained proximal to the body portion with the mating surfaces thereof in generally aligned relation by means of spaced bolts which extend generally perpendicularly through the mating surfaces into the body portion.
