Lever Actuated Patents (Class 24/179)
  • Patent number: 11564456
Abstract: A buckle for harness includes a ring member, a bar member and an elastic sheet. The ring member includes two opposite side portions and a cross portion connected with the side portions. A shaft pivotally connected with the side portions is disposed on the bar member for the bar member rotating relative to the ring member. A protruding portion sticks out from the shaft. The elastic sheet includes a fastened end secured to the ring member and a free end firmly abutting against the protruding portion with a rebounding force generated by the elastic sheet. An angle ? defined between the protruding portion and the free end changes as the bar member rotates. The bar member keeps standing if the angle ? is greater than 90 degrees.

  • Patent number: 8042235
Abstract: A buckling device for safety belts includes a buckle made of metal material and bent to form a projected holder. A wider segment of the holder is used to insert a side of the safety belt to the buckle. On each of two sides of a narrower segment of the holder is mounted a second side plate. Between two second side plates is defined a locking unit by using a shank. On an upper rim of the second side plate is a recess. The locking unit includes an engagement member in which a rotary member, a fixing piece, a compression spring, a mounting member, and a torsion spring are received. A fastening member includes a bottom sheet, with a wider segment thereof being used to insert another side of the safety belt. The fastening member further includes a retaining pore secured on a narrower segment thereof.

  • Patent number: 7001107
Abstract: An air cylinder fastening device has a belt and structure for belt tightening. Belt tightening structure is attached to each of the longitudinally opposite ends of the belt, and comprises first and second slider members opposed to each other in a circumferential direction of the air cylinder and a coupler member adapted to move these members close to or apart from each other. The coupler member comprises a front segment fixed to a rotor of the first slider member, a rear segment extending from the front segment toward the second slider member, a threaded part of the rear segment extending outward through a rotor of the second slider member, a control knob screwed on the threaded part and a spring interposed between the rotor and the control knob.

  • Patent number: 6868587
Abstract: An improved strap tensioner that allows a user to manually shorten the strap by applying greater tension on the strap and easily lengthening the strap after being tightened. The tensioner includes a tension lever, an intermediate member, and a brake lever all pivotally mounted on a rigid base. The tension lever and brake member are longitudinally aligned on opposite sides of the rigid base. Formed on the tension lever is a transversely aligned clamping flange that extends under the strap when longitudinally extended through the rigid base. Formed on the intermediate member and disposed above the clamping flange is a first cam surface that forms a slot for the strap to extend through. The brake lever includes a second cam surface that is spaced above the front flange member to form a second slot. During operation, the brake lever is rotated to press the second cam surface against the front flange member to temporarily hold the strap inside the rigid base.

  • Patent number: 6401310
Abstract: A strap buckle, particularly for use in a snowshoe binding, operates somewhat as a cam lock buckle but instead of exhibiting pinching force on the strap which increases with increased back-pulling force, the buckle's spring loaded lever engages a nipple or protrusion more deeply into a hole in the hole-punched strap as back-pulling force increases. The buckle lever has a strong downward bend, so that a front end of the lever tucks the strap tail against the user's boot and aids in the releasing of the lever from the strap.

  • Patent number: 5832569
Abstract: A lockable buckle for belts, straps and the like, consisting of an exterior housing, or shoe, accommodating a freely movable locking slide which forms, between it and the inside of the shoe, a locking area for nipping a belt or the like passing through the buckle. Locking is brought about by means of a manually operated eccenter mechanism engaging the rear end of the slide. The belt is arranged to enter the front of the buckle from below through an opening in the shoe and to pass over a rigid, profiled rib at the front end of the slide before entering the locking area under the slide. When the buckle is locked and the belt is under load, the tension in the belt will press this end of the slide against the belt, assisting the locking action exercised by the eccenter mechanism.

  • Patent number: 5431365
Abstract: An apparatus for securing equipment to mounting surfaces includes two clamps connected by a strap. One clamp is adhesively mounted to the mounting surface and the second clamp is adhesively mounted to the equipment. Latches pivotally mounted on the top of the clamps include a protrusion, and the strap has holes formed therein. When the latch is pivotally locked onto the strap, the protrusion extends through one of the holes and into a cavity in the base of the clamp. The protrusion also includes a forward corner that is distorted upon pivoting the latch to cause the latch to lock down onto the strap.
