Abstract: A collar useful in animal care, which includes a closure connector and a flexible belt having a free end and distal therefrom a thickened knob. Anchored within the connector's frame, the knob is disposed contiguous with a narrow slot formed therein through which all of the belt, except the knob, is initially threaded. Once looped back around the connector's frame, the free end is pushed through the frame until it re-emerges therefrom. With the collar adjusted to provide a snug fit, one can then activate a closure mechanism, in which the foot of an arm pivotally connected to the frame clamps a short portion of the belt, across its entire transverse width, against the frame. • Patent number: 6148486
Abstract: A belt mounting structure in a buckle which can securely fix a belt in use and allows easy adjustment of an effective belt length and removal of the belt. A belt winding rod freely reciprocates in a direction of fastening the belt and freely rotates at a predetermined angular range within a belt mounting hole. A bulging portion is formed along an upper end edge of the belt mounting hole in the side to which the buckle is connected. A cross-section of a main body of the belt winding rod is formed substantially in a waterdrop shape. A cross-section of each supporting axial portion of the belt winding rod is formed substantially in a shape of an isosceles triangle. When an oblique side portion of the axial portion is mounted and supported on a long side portion of a supporting hole, a tip portion of the main body is pressure contacted to a lower surface of the bulging portion via the belt.

  • Patent number: 5489051
Abstract: A gravity responsive apparatus for the carriage of paint and paint application related tools suspended upon the hip of a painter which consists of a hip-supported, belt-attached base member which is flexibly attached by means of a separable ball and socket joint to a freely swinging sealable paint container and fitted tool carrier. Use of the device allows a painter to easily and safely scale ladders and scaffolds without danger of paint spillage and upon arrival at the place of application of paint to simply flip open and fold back the hinged, gasketed cover for access to the paint supply. A variety of painters preparation and application tools may be carried in the integral tool rack which is a part of the apparatus. The freely swinging construction allows the painter to assume almost any position without the probability of paint spillage or tool droppage and being fabricated of a smooth, seamless material, is readily cleanable and requires little care or maintenance.

Abstract: An adjustable waist hand fastener disclosed comprises two components, namely, a button and a plate which can be fixed to one end portion of a waist band. The plate has a slot running along it. The button passes through the slot and can be displaced along the slot. The structure is such that the button can be fixed in any one of a number of positions along the slot. The button can be positioned in two or more predetermined positions or be infinitely adjustable. The button can be a one part construction or comprise two parts. When a two part button is used, the stem of one part is pushed through the slot before the two parts are connected together. When a one part button construction is used, the button must be capable of passing through the slot when in an appropriate position of orientation. The other end portion of the waist band includes a buttonhole which the button fits. The fastener enables the length of the waist band readily to be increased or decreased by displacing the button along the slot.
