Abstract: The present invention relates to a clamping device for semipermanently fixing a part, such as a fluid conveying hose, dustproof bellows, axial boot or the like, on the circumferential surface of an desired mating device. According to this invention, even if such part looses its elasticity owing to aging, the clamping device maintains the permanent stable firm clamping state. For this purpose, the inner and outer overlap portions (11a, 11b) of the clamp band (11) are forced by an operating tool to spread until the seizing tooth (18a) of the inner overlap portion (11a) and the fixed tooth (22b) of the outer overlap portion (11b) seize each other, thereby contracting the bore diameter of the clamp band (11). This state is locked by a prop key (23) extending from the outer overlap portion (11b) to engage the inner overlap portion (11a), while an elastic hump (25) for storing the spring force acting circumferentially of the clamp band (11) is outwardly bulged from the outer overlap portion (11b).

Abstract: An expandible annular elastic strap has a circumferentially slotted first end portion, a tongue-like second end portion which extends into the slot of the first end portion, and an intermediate portion composed of an outwardly projecting circumferentially extending median section and two marginal sections which flank the median section. The width of each marginal section need not exceed and can be less than half the width of the second end portion, and the three sections of the intermediate portion of the strap extend all the way from the first to the second end portion. The median section of the intermediate portion can be provided with one or more circumferentially extending slots which taper in opposite directions. The median section reduces the area of contact between the external surface of a clamped hose and the intermediate portion of the strap.

Abstract: A plastic tube bundle clamp for securing a plurality of elongated conduit elements such as wires, tubes, or pipes functions without destructive discontinuities in the working surface of the constrictive band. The encircling plastic band terminates in a pair of shoulders, each of which includes an integral, outwardly projecting jaw. When the jaws are compressively forced together, teeth engage one another to lock the clamp. The first jaw comprises spaced apart upper and lower elements which sandwich a first slot and the second jaw comprises an upper element spaced apart from a reduced width, lower element across a second slot. When the jaws are fitted together, the upper element of the second jaw is sandwiched within the first slot, and the lower element of the first jaw is substantially sandwiched within the second slot.
