Having Rigid Linking Arm Pivotally Connected To Each Gripping Member Patents (Class 24/495)
  • Patent number: 10486278
Abstract: A method and apparatus for delivering and retrieving workpieces to and from a machine table. This invention also relates to an apparatus for receiving at the machine table workpieces which are delivered to and retrieved by the delivery system. Carriers move along a conveyor without a loading arm rotating with respect to a supply table and also without the supply table rotating with respect to the loading arm. The receiver has pivot arms that act in a scissor-like manner to open and close an opening that lockingly engages a connector connected to a pallet.

Abstract: A game controller includes a trigger-activation sensor, a sensor-activation feature, and a trigger-retention feature. The sensor-activation feature is moveable relative to the trigger-activation sensor. The trigger-activation sensor outputs a control signal based on a relative position of the sensor-activation feature and the trigger-activation sensor. The trigger-retention feature is configured to removably affix a selected removable trigger accessory to the game controller. The selected removable trigger accessory is one of a plurality of differently configured removable trigger accessories removably affixable to the game controller. The selected removable trigger accessory is configured to change the relative position of the sensor-activation feature and the trigger-activation sensor based on finger manipulation of the selected removable trigger accessory when the selected removable trigger accessory is removably affixed to the game controller.

  • Patent number: 10145398
Abstract: A quick release mechanism for non-releasable clips is disclosed. The quick release mechanism allows for improved testing of the dimensional quality of manufactured parts having non-releasable mounting features, including clips, plugs, and pins. The mounting features can be reliably mounted for testing, and then removed from a mounting fixture without causing any injury or damage to the non-releasable mounting feature present in the device. The ease of removal is provided by the use of two horizontal segments (108, 110) positioned in a housing (104) to form a receiving aperture (112) for the mounting feature of the tested device. Moreover, the utilization of cables and cable stops to position and hold the horizontal segments of the quick release mount within their housing allows for a tested device to be quickly removed and the horizontal segments to be easily repositioned inside the circular housing where they can accept another manufactured device for dimensional evaluation.

Abstract: Intragastric implant devices for obesity treatment are disclosed. The device is passive and does not autonomously change shape, but instead reacts to movement of the stomach to induce satiety. The device includes a series of connected, articulated clips that plicate the stomach wall nondestructively (no puncturing through the gastric wall) such that the overall volume of the stomach is reduced. Cam-shaped clamping surfaces prevent slippage of the stomach tissue from within the clips. Methods of implant are disclosed including delivering the device through a transoral delivery tube and advancing the device through the esophagus to be deployed within the stomach. Abstract: Printed circuit boards may be held in place in a releasable manner in the amping gap of a clamping device having a mounting member and clamping member arranged in parallel to each other to form the clamping gap. The clamping member is pivoted or journalled to the mounting member and an adjustable biasing spring tends to close the clamping gap. The device is simple, universally usable, and has a wide clamping range as well as a high clamping force and good heat removing abilities. An axial movement of an adjustment member permits opening or closing the clamping device.

  • Patent number: 4716811
Abstract: Gripping apparatus for restraining the gun barrel on an armored vehicle comprises a pair of gripping jaws pivotally supported within a housing and connected by a first pair of toggle links to a movable carriage within the housing such that the jaws are opened and closed upon movement of the carriage, a pair of locking members slidably carried on the carriage and adapted to enter apertures in the sides of the housing to lock the carriage at a predetermined location at which the jaws are closed and the toggle links of the first pair are in substantially a straight line relationship, and a second pair of toggle links connected to the locking member and to an actuator rod so as to enable the toggle links of the second pair to assume an over-center position upon the locking members being received in the apertures for positively locking the carriage in the predetermined location.

  • Patent number: 4583269
Abstract: A clamp for gripping a towel draped over a towel rail so as to prevent the towel from sliding off the rail comprises a pair of arm members with jaw-forming portions at one end and handle portions at the other end, a pivot bar connecting the arm members between the ends, and a spring assembly connected between the arm members adjacent the pivot bar, the spring assembly urging the jaw-forming portions of the arm members toward one another to grip the towel therebetween. Release of the clamp to allow removal of the towel from the rail is effected by squeezing the handle portions toward one another to open the jaws against the spring action.
