Abstract: A shape-morphing fin includes a fixed portion, a multistable portion, a coupling portion, and a vibration source. The multistable portion functions as a negative stiffness element. The multistable portion is selectively movable between a first position and a second position. The movement between first position and the second position is configured to remove the ice formation from the structure. The coupling portion couples the fixed portion to the multistable portion. The vibration source is configured to produce a resonant vibration to engage the movement of the multistable portion from the first position to the second position.

Abstract: A pet treat holding device may comprise a head and a plurality of opposable arms. The plurality of opposable arms may be articulably attached to the head and movable between a first position and a second position. The arms may define a cavity configured to receive an end of an elongated treat such as a bully stick. The device may comprise a twist ring that threadedly engages the opposable arms and operates to secure the arms of the device around the inserted end of the elongated treat.

Abstract: A clip assembly is provided for securing a crib bumper to a crib. The clip assembly may include a clip adapted to be secured to the crib bumper. The clip may include a body member having a first arm and a second arm coupled to the first arm. The clip may also include a clasping member carried by the body member and adapted to clasp the first arm and the second arm. The clip assembly may also include a belt adapted to secure the clip to a portion of the crib. The belt may include a strap member having a fastener, adapted to secure the strap member to the crib portion. The belt may also include a protruding member carried by the strap member and adapted to be received by the linking member.

Abstract: A split arm clip includes first and second arms that are connected to each other at a first end by an end section and which press against one another at a second end opposite the first end. The first arm is split into first and second arm portions that are substantially flush when the clip is a closed, in use state. The first arm portion is integrally connected to the end section and the second arm portion includes a lever that is adjacent the first arm portion and which does not extend past the end section. A hinge is disposed between the first and second arm portions along a pivot axis extending in a transverse direction of the clip parallel the end section. The pivot axis is disposed between the first and second ends inside of the clip such that a force applied to the lever urges apart the first and second arms at the second end.

Abstract: A security tag holder is releasably clamped onto a garment. The holder includes first and second members coupled for relative pivotal movement about a pivot pin. The first member includes first clamping and locking regions at opposite sides of the pin, respectively. The second member includes second clamping and locking regions at opposite sides of the pin. The first locking region has a recess and a fixed magnet. The second locking region has a bore and a movable magnet movable between an unlocking position wherein the movable magnet is received in the bore and a locking position wherein the movable magnet is partly inserted into the recess and attracted to the fixed magnet. When the first and second members are urged against each other to clamp the garment, the movable magnet is moved from its unlocking to locking position to lock the first and second members against relative pivotal movement.

Abstract: A clip assembly having first and second pivoting gripping members that are locked in gripping engagement to a tarp or other material and attached to a rope or shock cord. The gripping members include jaws and arms that are joined by a pivot connection so that the jaws are forced into engagement when the arms are pressed together. At least one of the arms is formed of a resiliently flexible material so that the arm bends as the jaws are forced into gripping engagement. There is a hook or other attachment portion on one of the arms that the arms are locked in the compressed position when a portion of the cord is passed therethrough. The hook may include a primary opening for receiving a bight of a rope and a secondary opening for receiving a hook on the end of a shock cord.

Abstract: A fishing line release mechanism for use with a trolling cable, including a body of resilient material having a cable passage for sliding fit onto a trolling cable. The wall of the cable passage is slit so that the mechanism can be pressed or snapped onto and off of the cable. A pair of jaws which engage each other at their tips are pressed together by an adjusting screw. The jaws form a passage for a fishing line which releases from the cavity formed by the jaws when tension is applied by a striking fish.In one embodiment, the cable passage includes means to resiliently clamp the mechanism to the cable so that several such devices can be attached as desired for stacking.
