Abstract: A hook-and-eyelet retainer protects a brassiere hook-and-eyelet clasp from becoming detached in the laundry to prevent damage to the brassiere, other undergarments in the laundry and/or the laundry machine. A hook-and-eyelet retainer has a first and a second retainer portion that are coupled together by a hinge. The first and second retainer portions pivot about the hinge to receive a hook-and-eyelet clasp and wing band. The hook-and-eyelet retainer is then closed and a post on a first retainer portion extends through a closure aperture on a second retainer portion to secure the hook-and-eyelet retainer in a closed position. A plurality of teeth extends up from one or both of the retainer portions to grip onto the hook-and-eyelet clasp and/or the wing band. One or both of the planar retainer portions may be recessed to accommodate the thickness of the brassiere hook-and-eyelet clasp or clasp strap or hook-and-eyelet and wing band.

Abstract: A fastening device configured for an easy removable attachment to fabric that is employable with one hand to form a compressive engagement with a mounting point on fabric that is easy to use and non-damaging to fabric. The device can be easily operated by users with limited hand or finger dexterity or only having a single useable hand. The engagement provides a compressive gripping engagement means which is easily positioned to a mounting position on fabric which can be sighted through a gap in a central area of the body of the device. The enhanced gripping means are provided by a toothed gripping means or a friction enhancing means.

Abstract: A box closure device engages and holds the flaps of a box in their downward closed position. The device is constructed in a general “I” shape such that the top member is parallel and connected to a bottom member by a vertical member. It slides inward between the opposing flaps of a box from one (or either) side of the box with the “I-beam” connecting member of the device fitting in the space between the flaps. The top and bottom members are of sufficient length, width and depth to hold the box closed. The device gains further operative value when promotional or box content labels, business cards, displays, signage, décor, pictures or the like are applied to the surface of the top and/or bottom members of the said device.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a holder clip (1) for cards, such as identification cards, comprising two holding arms (3, 4) interconnected by a yoke (2) and defining between them a card reception slot (5). In order to be able to hold also cards of various thicknesses with adequate holding force by means of the holder clip (1), the present invention is so conceived that at least one of the two holding arms (3, 4) is provided with at least one contact-pressure pad (6) bulging, at least in certain sections thereof, towards the respective other holding arm (3, 4), said contact-pressure pad (6) consisting of a material that is different from the material of the holding arms (3, 4).

Abstract: A snorkel clip made up of two substantially rigid elements, which are designed to wrap at least half way around a snorkel tube, overmolded with a substantially flexible element to create a simple, aesthetically pleasing device. The snorkel clip also includes a hinge region created as part of the substantially flexible element. This hinge region allows the snorkel clip to flex or bend so that one of the rigid elements may be disengaged and pulled away from the riser tube of the snorkel, so that a mask strap may be attached to and removed from the snorkel, while the other rigid element remains attached to the riser tube in a generally secure manner. The substantially flexible portion may also include several cut out sections to provide visual and tactile access to portions of the substantially rigid elements for utility and aesthetic design.

Abstract: A clip for hanging a skirt that can be attached to an existing hanger. The distance between clips can be freely adjusted to hang, skirts from small children's to large adult sizes without causing creases. The clip neither damages cloth of a skirt nor leaves marks on a skirt while preventing a skirt from slipping off a hanger. Furthermore, the clip for hanging a skirt is very small in volume and of low-cost.

Abstract: A cable management device includes a clamping mechanism (110) suitable for attachment to a surface. The clamping mechanism comprises an annular portion (111) having an outside surface (114), an inside surface (115) that forms a perimeter of a cavity (118) interior to the annular portion, a first terminus (116), and a second terminus (117) disposed opposite the first terminus. The first terminus and the second terminus define a gap (151) between them. In one embodiment, the cable management device further comprises a membrane (120, 220) attached to the clamping mechanism at the inside surface, where the membrane contains a first opening (121). In the same or another embodiment, the cable management device further comprises a slot (140) in the annular portion of the clamping mechanism. Both the membrane and the slot enhance the cable management features of the cable management device.

Abstract: An aneurysm clip (1) is provided with two arms (2, 3) which are resiliently pivotable towards each other and carry at their free end clamping bars (12, 13) which are resiliently clamped against each other by the spring force of the arms, with outwardly curved sections of the arms adjoining the clamping bars and jointly forming a receiving space (10) for a vessel (11). In order to improve the safety of the application and the possibility of varying the application of the aneurysm clip, the clamping bars protrude from the arms towards both sides and thereby project laterally on both sides over the width of the arms in the outwardly curved sections.

In an embodiment, the device comprises a housing, a clip attached to the housing and a label encased within the housing. The housing further comprises a base portion and a cover portion, wherein the cover portion is adapted to enclose a label within the base portion of the labeling device.

Abstract: A portable, hand-operated quilting clamp capable of holding multiple layers of quilting material firmly together while being easily grasped by the user. A manually openable clamp body comprises top and bottom portions hingedly connected together and moveable between a clamping position and an open position and defining a fabric receiving gap. At least one spring is connected to the clamp body and biases the clamp closed. The clamp top portion has a handle extending away therefrom to aid in both opening the quilting clamp and gripping the quilting clamp by the user. With the clamp bottom portion supported from underneath, pressing on the handle urges the clamp top portion towards the open position. A cushion material, such as felt, is disposed on all or part of the bottom side of the bottom portion. The quilting clamp is ≧2 inches wide, but not more than about 4 inches.

Abstract: Many automotive radiators are now made with a metallic heat exchanger core and plastic top and bottom portions. A circumferencial lip on the plastic portions receives an O-ring. A flange on the core is folded over the lip and crimped to compress the O-ring between the lip and the flange to achieve a seal. When the crimp loosens, the radiator leaks. Current practice is to remove and replace the radiator since the leak cannot be repaired by brazing. The invention provides a clamp for slipping over the flange at the leak. Rotating one or more screw fasteners on the clamp compresses the crimped portion of the flange at the leak and the O-ring to repair the leak. The clamp remains in place without significant interference with function. The method of repair may be employed without removing the radiator from the vehicle. In may be performed without special skills or tools to greatly reduce the costs of leak repair.

Abstract: First and second retaining elements extend from a hinge to lie adjacent one another, one of the retaining elements being formed to be reorientatable between first and second bowed positions of stability. A detent is spaced from the hinge and arranged hold captive respective portions of the first and second retaining elements. The apparatus is suitable for use particularly as a hair clip, clasp, or slide, but can be used for securing other material or items.

Abstract: A seat belt clip for preventing the shoulder strap portion of a seat belt from being pulled too tight on the chest of a user by the seat belt retracting mechanism. The seat belt clip includes first and second arms each having inner and outer faces, a tab portion, an elongate cross portion coupled to the tab portion of the respective arm and a plurality of spaced apart elongate fingers outwardly extending from the cross portion of the respective arm. The inner faces of the first and second arms face. The first and second arms are pivotally coupled together at a fulcrum positioned between the tab portions of the arms adjacent the cross portions of the arms. The fingers of the first arm and the fingers of the second arm are biased towards one another.

Abstract: A jewelry installation device comprising a clamping device for operatively supporting a spring ring for coupling ends of an article of jewelry together, comprises a support and a clamp supported by the support. The support may comprise a handle structured and configured to be grasped between the fingers and the palm of a user's hand so as to orient the clamp proximate the wrist of the user. The clamp is structured and configured to hold the spring ring of a chain bracelet in an open position and proximate the wrist of the user, rendering both hands of the user free to grasp and operate the spring ring and manipulate the jump ring of the chain (opposite the spring ring) to engage the jump ring with the spring ring. Upon opening the clamp, the spring ring is released and upon being released, the spring ring closes upon the jump ring, coupling the spring ring and jump ring together.

Abstract: A hair clip having a first lever member with a first jaw portion, a first actuator portion and an intermediate portion joining the first jaw portion and the first actuator portion; and a second lever member having a second jaw member, a second actuator portion and a second intermediate portion joining the second jaw portion and the second actuator portion. A hinge connects the first intermediate portion to the second intermediate portion and the first and second jaw members are shaped and arranged such that closure movement between the first and second actuator portions produces separating movement of the first and second jaw members. A spring member exerts a separating force between the first and second actuator portions and a closure force between the first and second jaw portions. Attached to and movable with at least one of the first and second actuator portions is a cover mechanism which substantially covers and conceals the spring member.

Abstract: A hairpin which gives hair the appearance of greater volume and thickness by using a support member which protrudes from the side of the lower leg of the hairpin at an acute angle and which extends substantially parallel to the legs of the hairpin. Hairs being held between the legs of the hairpin are elevated by the support member to a position above the upper leg of the pin and away from the scalp, thus giving the appearance of fuller, thicker hair.

Abstract: A hair clip has two curved arms connected in parallel and a clamping strip extending from a connecting area between the curved arms. Each curved arm has a pair of horizontally outwardly arched sections, a horizontally inwardly curved section connected between the horizontally outwardly arched sections, and a coupling tip at a free end. The clamping strip has a retainer portion at its free end for securing the coupling tips of the curved arms together. The clamping strip also has a plurality of downwardly curved sections and upwardly curved sections alternatively connected in a line between the clamping strip fixed end and free end. The width of the clamping strip is broader than the gap between the horizontally inwardly arched sections of the curved arms.

Abstract: A shoulder harness recoil restraint clip comprising a clip member having first and second engagement portions flexibly connected by a flex hinge that allows the first and second engagement portions to rotate in a manner such that a first surface of the first engagement portion covered with a first plurality of gripping ridges is rotatable into a position contacting a second surface of the second engagement portion covered with a second plurality of gripping ridges. The first and second engagement portions are lockable to a section of shoulder harness strap material adjacent the recoil mechanism by a locking tab positionable with a locking tab receiving channel formed through one of the engagement portions. The locking tab is held in place by locking tab ridges positioned on either side of a locking tab receiving channel. The locking tab has an engagement head adapted to seat between adjacent locking ridges.

Abstract: The securing clip of the invention comprises a top plate segment, a bottom plate segment and a joining segment which flexibly links the top and bottom plate segments. Each of the top and bottom plate segments has an upper and a lower surface. The lower surface of the top plate confronts the upper surface of the bottom plate segment and these two surfaces, along with the internal face of the joining segment thereby define a partially closed spaced. There is provided on the lower surface of the top plate segment, at least one finger protruding downwardly into the space. This finger and the lower surface define an angle facing the joining segment which is 90.degree. or less.

Abstract: A bouyant hanger unit comprises an elongated body molded of plastic to provide a clip on the bottom end thereof for holding a dental film chip in the plane of the hanger unit. The hanger unit has a circular projection on one face thereof axially aligned with a circular recess on the opposite face thereof. Such a construction enables a plurality of hanger units to be assembled face-to-face while permitting any of the hanger units to be pivoted away from the remaining hanger units in the assembly for the purpose of examining the dental film chip clipped on the bottom thereof. When the individual hanger units or an assembly of the hanger units with dental film chips clipped on the bottom thereof are placed in a solution they float in an upright position with the upper end thereof extending above the surface of the solution.
