Abstract: The field of the present invention relates to an identification assembly, and in particular, to a clasp device for securing to an identification wristband, and to a wristband and clasp assembly. In one embodiment, a identification assembly for a patient includes a band with first and second opposite ends and first and second opposite edges and a width measured between the first and second edges. The identification assembly also includes a clasp secured to the band. The clasp has a first section having an inside surface and an outside surface; a second section having an inside surface and an outside surface, the inside surface of the second section facing the inside surface of the first section; and a protrusion extending from one of the first or the second section to engage the other of the first or the second section to secure the first and second sections together in a closed position.

Abstract: The invention relates to a fastening element for two-dimensional fiber material comprising a basic element and pin-shaped profile elements, which protrude from the basic element in order to penetrate the fiber material. Provision is made for the profile elements to be deformable in order to form retaining heads for the fiber material. The invention further relates to a method for fastening two-dimensional fiber material which can be carried out with a fastening element of such type. By the method in accordance with the invention a cold micro-riveting can be achieved.

Abstract: A locking enclosure consisting of first and second members joined at one end by a living hinge and having, respectively, a flexible receptacle with an open recess and a foot portion configured to flex the receptacle as it enters the recess to lock the enclosure in a closed position, where damage to the living hinge and inadvertent opening of the enclosure are resisted by a pair of strips that project up from one end of the recess and down toward the recess bottom from the other end of the recess to engage corresponding slots in the foot.

Abstract: The present invention provides means for quickly and easily attaching a balloon to an anchoring object such as a name card holder, a flag, or a garment. Abstract: A reusable closure is described which comprises an elongate member molded from a plastics material having memory. The member is formed with a reduced thickness live hinge line extending along its length and leg portions defined on opposite sides of the live hinge line which can be urged towards and away from each other between locked and released positions. An upstanding ear extending along the length of each leg portion has a locking portion adapted to releasably snap into locking engagement with a corresponding locking portion on the other ear in the locked position. Rounded areas join each ear to its respective leg portion. A packaging and storage system using such closures is described, and methods of making such closures by extrusion or injection molding are disclosed.

A planar upper end is provided with an arcuate slot within which is located a rotatable ring. A vertical slot, a curved edge and a recess provide for engaging the fabric when the fabric is applied thereto and the ring is rotated into the recess. The arcuate slot allows for downward sliding of the ring into a locking location which may be provided with a detent.
