Abstract: A mounting device for mounting a data storage device to a receiving bracket of a computer enclosure includes a board body and at least one grounding clip. Two of the mounting devices are attached to opposite sides of the data storage device and engage with the receiving bracket. Each grounding clip includes a securing section, a first section and a second section. A bolt extends through a hole defined in the securing section of the grounding clip and a through hole defined in the board body for engaging with a screw hole defined in the data storage device thereby fixing the grounding clip and the board body to the data storage device. The fist and second sections of each grounding clip form a plurality of fingers for respectively contacting the data storage device and the computer enclosure thereby forming a grounding path therebetween while fixing the data storage device to the computer enclosure.

Abstract: A sock pair retention apparatus includes a resilient membrane which includes a plurality of resilient flap members formed within the membrane. The resilient flap members are oriented in a common plane when in a relaxed mode and are deformed out of the plane when in a sock-retention mode. When one or more socks is pushed between the resilient flap members, the resilient flap members are pushed out of the plane and are in a sock-retention mode. • Patent number: 5836097
Abstract: A shelf divider, label and sign holder system comprising an elongated universal support element formed with a relatively rigid channel-shaped shell adapted to be adhesively mounted on a vertically or horizontally extending surface. The support element includes an extended cover portion with flexible fingers co-extruded therewith and adapted to engage the mounting surface itself to removably capture therebetween portions of an item to be supported by the support element. When used as a vertical surface sign holder system, the support element is generally horizontally secured to the vertical surface, with the channel opening downwardly and a paper, cardboard or plastic indicia-containing label or sign securely held at its upper edges between the flexible fingers and the vertical mounting surface. The same support element may be adhesively secured to the undersurface of a shelf juxtapositioned to the front edge thereof, for reception of a perpendicular mounting flange of an adhesive or non-adhesive label holder.

Abstract: A basketball net clip for a breakaway net attachment system that detachably mounts a basketball net to the rim of a basketball goal at predetermined locations along the rim. The net clips are resilient and include a base portion attachable to the rim and a retainer portion for detachably retaining the net in association with the rim. The rim preferably includes a plurality of studs located along an undersurface thereof for engaging within apertures formed in the clips whereby the clips are retained in engagement with the rim. In one embodiment, the clips are provided with fingers for retaining the net wherein the fingers will release the net in response to a predetermined force being applied to the net. In a further embodiment, the clip is adapted to be pulled off of the rim when a predetermined force is applied to the net.

Abstract: A strap take-up device for a fashion accessory that includes an elongated strap of a purse or similar bag. The take-up device receives a strap in a looped form and selectively retains the strap in a plurality of desired positions. The retaining member receives and retains the strap in its desired position without slippage by providing a unitary body defining a spring clip formed of an elongated sheet folded, at least twice, back onto itself to form at least two strap retaining passages. The spring clip is elastically deformable to allow each of the passages to expand to an open position to allow a strap to be disposed therein and contract to a closed position to frictionally retain the strap. The spring clip is spring biased to contract to the closed position. In the preferred embodiments of this invention, the spring clip takes the forms of a W-shaped or S-shaped design.

  • Patent number: 5697131
Abstract: A money clip having greater resilience without yielding by using a thin, stiff material. The clip may have a base and a lever, the lever being connected to the base by a spring, subject to bending deflection in use. The clip provides a reverse bend, or knee between the principal bend at the back of the clip, and a lip at the front of the clip. A long tongue extends as part of a base, extending out from the front of the clip where the lip contacts the tongue along a contact line. Near the back of the clip, the spring is formed as a loop having a diameter greater than the throat formed by the lever and base at their greatest distance from one another. The throat provides greater leverage on money held in the clip than does the lip, but both provide significant force to secure money without yielding the spring or lever, and without allow the money two turn, twist, or slide. A single bill, or fifty bills may be inserted into the clip with a totally elastic response by the clip.

Abstract: An improved helical torsion spring is disclosed which contains an integrally attached clip. The improved helical torsion contains: (a) a helical torsion spring having a coiled portion and front and end non-coiled portions; (b) a clip having a transverse opening for sleeving about the coiled portion of the helical torsion spring, and a concave slot for receiving a slim-bodied object. The transverse opening of the clip has a section-section smaller than a length of either of the front or end non-coiled portion so as to retain the clip therebetween. The improved helical torsion spring can be used in essentially the same a conventional torsion spring can be used; however, it provides the advantage of being able to carry a slim-bodied object such as pencils, pens, or other similar goods.
