Abstract: The present disclosure provides surgical clamps. The clamp has a body with a mouth that opens and closes to permit the body to encircle a bundle of tissue containing a blood vessel which a surgeon wishes to occlude. The clamp also has an articulating arm that rotates on a hinge and passes through apertures of the clamp body. The apertures and/or the articulating arm include ratchet components that permit the surgeon to apply dynamic adjustable tensioning to the tissue and vessel in real time. This dynamic tension permits a surgeon to ensure a specific reduction of blood flow through the vessel.

Abstract: A binder forming a booklet by bundling end portions of a plurality of sheets of paper such that paper addition or removal is possible includes a spread-shaped front cover member configured for sandwiching a bundle of the plurality of sheets of paper, a long cover member having an opening portion along a back portion of the front cover member, and a plurality of clips arranged so as to be configured for moving forward and backward in the opening portion of the cover member and having a pair of holding pieces and claw portions respectively extending inward from tips of the holding pieces. Through holes through which the claw portions of the plurality of clips are respectively inserted are formed in each of front and back covers of the front cover member.

Abstract: An endoscopic system for winding and inserting a mesh into an abdominal cavity of a patient is provided. The endoscopic system includes an introducer having an elongated shaft extending distally therefrom. The shaft includes a split portion that defines an opening therealong. The split portion is configured to support the mesh within the opening. A furler defining a lumen is engageable with the split portion of the shaft and configured to exert a radial force onto the mesh that is supported by the split portion. Rotation of one of the furler and introducer with respect to the other winds the mesh inside the furler to a diameter smaller than a diameter of the lumen of the furler.

Abstract: A drape forming apparatus for that includes a forming tool including an upper forming surface and a side forming surface extending from the upper forming surface. The forming tool receives a layer of composite material over the upper forming surface. The apparatus includes a flange forming device including an upper plate, a lower plate, and a receiving slot defined therebetween. The receiving slot receives a flange portion of the layer of composite material, and the flange forming device is translatable relative to the forming tool such that the flange portion of the layer of composite material is withdrawn from the receiving slot and draped over the side forming surface. The apparatus includes a pressurized bladder that extends over the forming tool and the upper plate. The pressurized bladder forces the flange portion against the side forming surface as the flange forming device translates relative to the forming tool.

Abstract: A binder clip includes a generally triangular clamp including a first side between a mouth and a first vertex, a second side between the mouth and a second vertex, a third side between the first vertex and the second vertex, a first wing extending away from the mouth to a first wing end, and a second wing extending away from the mouth to a second wing end such that the first wing and the second wing are substantially coplanar. The binder clip further includes a first arm pivotably connected to the wing at the first wing end, and a second arm pivotably connected to the wing at the second wing end, the first arm and the second arm cooperatively useable to open the mouth.

Abstract: A binder clip includes a clamping member of spring steel having jaws interconnected by a transverse portion, and a pair of handles each formed of two legs mounted at spaced positions to adjacent the free ends of the jaws. A portion of one leg of one handle extends adjacent one edge of a jaw of the clamping member to adjacent the transverse portion, where another portion of the leg is directed inwardly; and a portion of the other leg of that handle extends adjacent the other edge of the jaw of the clamping member to adjacent the transverse portion, where another portion of the leg is directed inwardly. There is thus provided a space between the two legs so that an element such as a label holder can be mounted on the jaw of the clamping member, without interference from the legs of the handle.

Abstract: A linkage mechanism for a wet shaving razor is provided. The linkage mechanism is pivotally connected to and suspended from the handle at one end and pivotally and removably attached to the cartridge carrier at an opposite end allowing the cartridge carrier to pivot about a virtual pivot axis located below the shaving plane and into the skin. The linkage mechanism provides flexibility in positioning the virtual pivot axis since it is not limited to the physical constraints of the cartridge. As a result, the shaving razor cartridge has a flatter contact with the skin throughout the shaving stroke providing shaving comfort with reduced nicks and cuts.

Abstract: An improved binder clip embodies a hole-punched feature annex to the clip body is derived to provide a set of wings that meet at the center normal to the pivotal plane. Incisions to each side of the clip bodies, counter folds to take shape, provides for nominal holes to be cut into the center of each wings. A supplementary feature to the grip handle is reshaped to develop the center contour. The grip handles suspends to the hinges of the clip body, at position against the two folded edges of the clip contains center contour feature to propose clearance for any protrusions from the hole-punched annex wings of the clip to pass through. The first and second higher interior channel guide edges terminate forming a channel neck. The channel neck is a channel to receive the docking assembly. The rear face further has at least one grip section that extends from the first or second lateral edge. The front face has a recessed face, and the clip assembly has a docking station, a spring assembly, and a writing instrument holder.

Abstract: A fastener for a document folder includes a base plate, a hook bracket and torsion springs. The front end of the base plate is extended upwards and curled to form a bending section. A slot is formed by the surrounding of the bending section. Rotating shafts on two sides of the front end of the hook bracket are respectively arranged at two ends of the inside of the slot. The torsion springs are respectively sleeved on the rotating shafts on two sides of the front end of the hook bracket. Some ends of the torsion springs are fixed on the rotating shafts and the other ends of the torsion springs are fixed on the base plate. End sections of the rotating shafts are bent upwards to form retaining sections. Clamp holes are engaged with the retaining sections and used for fastener opening formed on the front of the bending section.

There is also an abutment for abutment by the edge of the paper sheet to position the edge relative to the press while the lever is in the released position. The abutment is associated with the lever for moving away from the edge of the paper sheet when the lever moves towards the holding position, thereby exposing the edge of the paper sheet.

Abstract: This invention relates to a paper clip for releasably securing paper together having folded sheet metal defining a base and two spaced arms connected together by a first spring system and a cam member comprising sheet metal and having a deformable cam surface defining a second spring system operably connected to the two spaced arms for rotational movement between: an open position for insertion of the sheets between the base and deformable cam surface; and a closed position where rotation of the cam member rotates the deformable surface to releasably secure the sheets together between the deformable cam surface and base. The invention also relates to a paper clip having three spring systems and a method of releasably securing paper together.

The money clip includes a gripping member 12 having a U shape which includes gripping sections 14, 16, and 18, and a first set of pivot sections formed on the lower edge of gripping section 14, and a second set of pivot sections formed on the lower edge of gripping section 18. The first and second gripping legs 20 and 22 each having pivots members at their upper ends which are pivotally and removably connected to the first and second set of pivot sections formed on the gripping sections 14 and 18. In addition, logo support members are formed on the first, second, or third gripping legs for receiving logos or pictures thereon which have magnetic surfaces for receiving logos thereon.

A pair of operating levers are slidably mounted, respectively, in the housings with an elongated slot formed on the interior of each operating lever. Abstract: The present invention is directed toward a bead securement device comprising a tension spring, a first cover and a second cover. The first cover and the second cover are removably secured to the tension spring. In use, a force is exerted on the spring through the covers causing the spring to deform and the gaps between the plurality of coils on the spring expand. Once expanded, the filament may be passed in between one of these gaps so that when the force exerted on the end members of the spring is released, the filament is squeezed between the coils of the spring and held in place. The filament can be easily removed by using the covers to manipulate the end members of the spring.

Abstract: A method of releasably securing an article with an audio recording includes handling a binder clip having audio circuitry with recordation and playback capabilities. The binder clip includes a pair of actuating arms and a gripping portion. The audio circuitry is in the form other than that of a cell phone attached to the binder clip. The method additionally includes compressing the pair of actuating arms of the binder clip above the gripping portion to expand the gripping portion and inserting at least a portion of the article into the gripping portion. The method further includes releasing the actuating arms so that the gripping portion grips the portion of the article inside the binder clip and recording audio onto the audio circuitry.

Abstract: A plate clip including a seat plate having a reel and a base plate, a pressing frame is pressed on the base plate by a spring, and an open handle. The open handle forming a lever is disposed on the pressing frame, and its fulcrum is at the reel. When a user opens the plate clip to clamp papers, he can press down the open handle to lift the pressing frame easily by the lever function, thus the finger of the user would not be injured accidentally.

The binder clip includes a clamping means, opposed gripping means attached to the clamping means, and a label holder that is attached to, or that is integral with, the clamping means. Abstract: In order to provide more secure binding of physical media, activation and deactivation mechanisms for media binders are presented. As such, internal spine clamp deactivation mechanisms for deactivating a spine clamp in a media binder are presented, the mechanism including: a tension sheet configured to operate the spine clamp in response to opening the media binder in a range of approximately 270 to 360 degrees (°), normally, greater than approximately 270°; a tear line disposed along the tension sheet and oriented along the spine clamp wherein when the tension sheet is torn at the tear line, the spine clamp is deactivated. In some embodiments, the mechanism further includes a cosmetic sheet disposed between the tension sheet and a cover of the media binder for providing a cover for the spine clamp such that when the tension sheet is torn, the spine clamp remains covered.

Abstract: An updatable and lockable flip chart holder that can clip into the rail strip or channel of a shelf or fasten to a display at a retail store. The flip chart holder allows manufacturers or promoters of products that are sold at retail to create consumer, educational, or promotional flip charts that can easily and economically be updated by opening rings. The lockable flip chart has a panel, and attached to the panel is a ring system with each ring having two ring halves and hinged leaves connected to each other and attached to each ring half respectively. A locking mechanism on the ring system presses against the leaves to prevent the ring halves from opening. Locking the rings also provides security so consumers cannot take the pages out of the flip chart holder.
