Abstract: A securing device includes a base capable of being fixedly disposed on a side of a footwear, a receiving member pivotally connected to the base, a toothed band having a head pivotally connected to the receiving member and an actuating member slidably received in grooves defined in the receiving member. The base has a first hook member extending upwardly therefrom. Two springs are disposed between the receiving member and the actuating member which has a second hook member extending downwardly from a bottom thereof so as to be engaged with the first hook member. The actuating member has two stops extending from the bottom thereof and the receiving member has two slots defined therein for the stops to be movably received therein such that when pushing the actuating member toward the head of the toothed band, the first hook member and the second hook member are disengaged from each other so that the receiving member together with the head of the toothed band can be pivoted to loosen the toothed band.

Abstract: A snowboard ratchet-type buckling arrangement includes a housing and a strap slidably received within the housing. The strap has a rack of teeth on its upper surface. A tab is pivotally mounted to the housing about a first axis and is spring-biased into engagement with the rack of teeth on the strap. The tab allows the strap to move in a first direction and prevents movement of the strap in a second direction. A lever arm is pivotally mounted about the housing about the first axis and a second axis which is spaced from the first axis. When the lever arm is pivoted about the second axis, saw teeth engage the rack of teeth on the strap to incrementally ratchet the strap through the housing in the first direction.

Abstract: The invention is an apparatus for securing together segments of an elongated member such as an extension cord. The apparatus includes means for engaging at least one segment of the elongated member and a band member for wrapping around additional segments of the elongated member and having surfaces that releasably adhere to maintain the segments of the elongated members in a bundle.

Abstract: In a binding device comprising a serrated strap engaged through a leader of an assembly for adjusting the binding tension, the strap can be locked by tightening within the leader with the intermediary of a wedge mounted movably in the leader itself.

Abstract: A tool for applying banding clamps is provided with means for applying a substantially even amount of force across the transverse direction of a strap to hold the strap in a desired position wherein the force applying means comprises a plurality of superposed levers having means for holding the superposed levers in assembled relationship but permitting relative movement between the levers.

Abstract: The device comprises a pressure band engageable with the front upper portion of an inner shoe attached with one end to a side area of the boot, whereas the other end thereof is connected to a tension band, effective to be operated by a skiing stick. On the tension band there acts a releasable lock serrated portion adapted to allow the free translatory movement of the tension band in one direction and to prevent the translation of the tension band in the opposite direction. Tension on the tension band causes compression of the inner shoe by the pressure band against the user's foot.
