Abstract: A safety clutch for releasable securing of a post for a body piercing is disclosed. The post is guided through a hole in a plate to be secured (but removable) between a pair of cantilever spring elements bent from the edges of the plate into position on the back side of the plate. A dome shield is also secured to the edge of plate to cover the cantilever spring elements on back side of the clutch, the dome shield including one or more ventilation holes for reducing moisture accumulation within the dome shield. The dome shield blocks an end of the post extending between the cantilever spring elements from contacting the user and possibly puncturing skin. The plate, dome shield and cantilever spring elements can be efficiently manufactured by forming and stamping from a single piece of material.

Abstract: A hardware system is provided for use in ready-to-assembly (RTA) furniture that allows assembly thereof without the need for tools. The system includes a pin fastener and a pin receiver assembly. The pin receiver assembly is installed into one panel of the RTA furniture while the pin fastener is installed into another panel or component that is to be fastened to the first panel. The pin receiver includes a retaining means therein that serves to releasably engage the pin fastener when it is inserted therein. The pin receiver includes a body having engaging members therein that engage the pin shaft when the pin shaft is inserted into the pin receiver. In a preferred embodiment the pin receiver can be disengaged from the pin fastener using a magnet.

Abstract: A fastener for ornaments includes a housing 12 having a pin passing hole 16 and an opening portion 19. A guide 22 has a small diameter portion 23a at the pin passing hole 16 side. A movable operating body 32 has a grip member 34 protruded to an exterior from the opening portion 19 at one end 33a of a column portion 33 and having, at another end 33b, a small ball holder portion 35, with which in a latched state, a surface at a small ball 46 side of its outer peripheral surface 37 closely contacts an inner peripheral surface 24 of the guide 22. A coil spring 52 pressingly urges the movable operating body 35 in a pin clamping direction. A plurality of small balls 46 disposed in the movable operating body clamp an inserted pin (P).

Abstract: A pierced earring fastener 1 has: a pinching member 2 made of three balls 2a, 2a, 2a; a holder 3 that is a rubber-like elastic member; and a ring 5 for tightening the pinching member 2 and the holder 3. The three balls 2a, 2a, 2a are disposed in a ring shape at intervals of 120 degrees in a circumferential direction, as elements that form the pinching member 2. These balls are retained at predetermined positions by means of the holder 3. The holder completely surrounds the circular pinching member 2 formed by the three balls 2a. A through hole 3a penetrating a center of both of end faces 3c, 3c is formed via a gap 2b formed at the center of a ring formed by the pinching member 2 closed inside thereof.

Abstract: A device for holding a patch for holding a patch stationary with respect to a fabric so that the patch may be easily sewn to the fabric. The device for holding a patch includes a female plate having central wall with a top surface and a bottom surface. A male plate having a central wall with a top surface and a bottom surface. At least one bore in the female plate. An upstanding member, for insertion into the bore is fixedly coupled to the bottom surface of the male plate. The upstanding member has a pointed free end. A retainer retains the upstanding member in the female plate.
