Abstract: An apparatus and a method for automatically making a bed includes a sheet holder suspended from a sheet holder support, a head-end duvet cover holder suspended from a head-end duvet cover holder support, a foot-end duvet cover holder suspended from a foot-end duvet cover holder support, a duvet holder suspended from a duvet holder support, a plurality of connectors on each of the sheet holder, the head-end duvet cover holder, the foot-end duvet cover holder, and the duvet holder, the connectors adapted to be connected to mating connectors on a sheet, a head-end of a duvet cover, a foot end of the duvet cover, and a duvet, respectively, and a framework upon which the sheet holder support, the head-end duvet cover holder support, the foot-end duvet cover holder support, and the duvet holder support are mounted. A sheet, duvet and duvet cover are manually attached to the holders, the duvet is automatically inserted into the duvet cover, and the sheet and the duvet are draped over the bed.

Abstract: A method and device for limiting the displacement of a human body without restricting natural movements are disclosed. The device is an anchor that is anchored to a bedsheet. The method describes the use of the anchor with a connecting element such as a ribbon. One end of the connecting element is attached to the anchor and the other end to a garment or harness at the perineal region of a human body. The main application of the method and device is to keep a child in a bed without the risk of falling out of bed, but applies to any person, lying down or sitting, regardless of age.

Abstract: A system used to fit fitted sheets over a mattress. The system allows a user of the system to keep the fitted sheets unwrinkled when the user decides to lie on the mattress that uses the system. The system comprises of a rectangular housing, a plurality of mounts, a plurality of gear motors a plurality of pulleys, a plurality of straps, a motor speed controller that is operatively connected to each gear motor, a connector that is fixedly attached to an end of each strap, and a fitted sheet that defines a plurality of receivers that are positioned concentrically around a central axis of the fitted sheet, the connector that is fixedly attached to the end of each strap attaches to each receiver of the plurality of receivers of the fitted sheet.

The bed-mounted exercise system includes a platform removably securable to a bed via a plurality of straps and an exercise pad removably securable to the platform. The pad includes a lower surface including a plurality of attachment fasteners thereon. The platform includes an upper surface including a plurality of mating fasteners thereon. The pad is removably securable to the platform via engagement of the plurality of attachment fasteners with the plurality of mating fasteners. A plurality of strap apertures disposed on the platform are configured to receive either a first end or a second end of one of the plurality of straps therethrough. The platform can be positioned atop a mattress and secured to a bed frame thereunder via fasteners disposed on the plurality of straps. The pad can then be fastened to the platform, providing a comfortable yet stable surface on which to perform exercises.

Abstract: A foldable hammock frame comprising two elongate support members hinged at opposite ends. Between the two ends of said elongate support members a conventional hammock can be diploid. The frame designed with the curvature of the two support members allowing the foldable hammock frame to stand in multiple stable positions that provide comfort for the user. Hinges allow the frame to be folded and are equipped with an angle limiter that limits the angle of the hinge opening in unfolded position. The foldable hammock frame has a locking mechanism and can be locked in unfolded position preventing accidental folding while in use.

Abstract: A gather-fitted bedding placement apparatus and method for easy installation and removal, and prevention of slippage during use, of gather-fitted bedding upon a bed mattress. The apparatus has a semi-flexible friction-calibrated sheet-material unit of a size corresponding to the standard minimum depth of the bed mattress, a bottom lip formed along the bottom edge of the semi-flexible friction-calibrated sheet-material unit, at least one curve-enabling notch in the central portion of the bottom lip, to enable bending of the semi-flexible friction-calibrated sheet-material unit to conform to the corner of the mattress, a bottom-lip curved-corner portion formed by such bending, and at least one tab cutout through the semi-flexible friction-calibrated sheet-material unit.

Abstract: Disclosed are couplers, bedspreads and bedsteads. A bedspread includes a bed cloth, a bed drape and a plurality of couplers. The bed cloth has a peripheral edge corresponding to an upper peripheral frame of a bedframe. The bed drape is coupled or integrally formed with the bed cloth along the peripheral edge, and hangs down when in use. Each coupler includes a plate, a hook, and an elastic strap connecting the plate with the hook. The plate is disposed on an interior side of the bed cloth at or proximal to the peripheral edge of the bed cloth. The hook is configured to couple with a lower support of the bedframe.

Abstract: The invention provides a system for preventing sheet slippage having a sheet retention device configured to at least partially underlie a mattress having a first flat member having a first surface; at least one second flat member attached to the first flat member having a second surface, where the first and second flat members have a closed configuration where the first and second surfaces oppose each other, an open configuration where the first and second surfaces are perpendicular to each other, and an infinite number of positions in between the open and closed configurations; and at least one retaining member in communication with the first surface. The invention also provides a method for using the invented system for preventing sheet slippage.

Abstract: A bedsheet-holder for securing bedding materials together when in use on a mattress. The bedsheet-holder includes an elongated flexible member having a first end and a second end designed to secure a plurality of bedding materials in place. A plurality of fasteners positioned along the length of the elongated member are designed to secure the elongated member to the plurality of bedding materials, such that the plurality of bedding materials remain attached to one another and are prevented from falling off of a bed when in use. The bedsheet-holder further includes a first mating fastener on the first end of the member designed to removably attach the member to a first side of a frame of a bed, and a second mating fastener on the second end of the member designed to removably attach the elongated member to an opposite second side of a frame of a bed.

Abstract: An example easy change mattress sheet attachment system includes a bed sheet having four sewn-on fabric casings in an arch shape and a cord inserted through the casings forming a set of accessible sections of drawstring at exposed between-casing cord regions at four corners, and a bottom mat having means for trapping drawstrings at four corners. After having installed the bottom mat under the mattress, one can install and remove the top sheet onto and from the mattress without having to lift up the mattress. To install the top sheet, first put the top sheet on the mattress, then execute drawstring-trapping maneuvers at four bed corners. To remove the top sheet, detach the engaged drawstrings at four bed corners.

Abstract: The retaining system for vertically stacked material is configured for use with a plurality of drywall sheets that are awaiting installation. The retaining system for vertically stacked material is a fastening device that secures the plurality of drywall sheets to a stanchion such that the plurality of drywall sheets will not fall during storage. The retaining system for vertically stacked material comprises a stanchion clip, a drywall clip, a securing strap, and a locating beacon. The stanchion clip attaches to the stanchion. The drywall clip attaches to a drywall sheet selected from the plurality of drywall sheets. The securing strap attaches the drywall clip to the stanchion clip. The locating beacon is a GPS based device that identifies the location and of the retaining system for vertically stacked material.

Abstract: A device and related method for enabling a single user to facilitate the insertion of a duvet into a duvet cover is described. The duvet holder comprises an engagement element that is individually connected to a corresponding purchase element by way of a strap. Preferably, the user employs two duvet holders at the same time, and arranges them such that the purchase elements are placed underneath two adjacent corners of the mattress at the headboard end of the bed and the respective connected engagement elements are laid on top of the mattress. Assembled duvet/duvet cover corners are inserted into the engagement elements that securely grip the assembled corners while the purchase elements act as resistive anchors to limit movement of the duvet. The user then extends the cover over the rest of the duvet.

Abstract: A bedding anchor is in the form of a single holder that has at least one open through port for receiving an edge of a bedding fabric. The single holder is elongated in shape, has a length greater than a width thereof, and has the one open port arranged closer to one end of opposed one and other ends of the single holder so that, when the single holder is flipped lengthwise, the single holder can be inserted under an overlying supporting mattress. The holder includes at least a first through port disposed adjacent the one end of the holder, and at least a second through port disposed adjacent the other end of the holder with the at least one first through port being larger in open area than the at least one second port.

Abstract: An apparatus for holding a bed sheet, either flat or fitted, in place includes a flexible, non-elastic pad and attached strap. A clip on the end of the strap engages the corner or side of the bed sheet, and the flexible pad is slid beneath the mattress to hold the sheet in place. When force is exerted onto the pad due to pulling of the pad resulting from sheet movement, the flexible pad folds upon itself, thereby providing resistance to prevent the pad from being pulled from beneath the mattress. As the force on the pad increases the degree of folding increases, such that the pad self-adjusts to provide the necessary degree of resistance to hold the sheet in place.

A sheet system can include the fitted sheet system and a second sheet having a fitted foot end and be configured to be attached to fasteners of the fitted sheet system.

In particular, the chest compression device is connectable to an air pulse generator for performing chest compression therapy or techniques while one or more chest panels are positioned in an overlying relation to the patient's chest. The device includes an attachment assembly disposed on opposite sides thereof and includes one or more connectors attached to the chest panel(s) and a separate grooved anchor. The grooved anchor is positioned under the linen on opposite sides of the patient, the connector attaches to the anchor through the linen, pinching the linen there between.

Abstract: A mattress cover includes a securing belt about its skirt to aid in engaging and fixing the skirt to a mattress, thereby minimizing the tendency of a skirt to migrate upward on the mattress during use. The belt may be attached to the skirt by means of a sleeve extending the length of the skirt, lacing, belt loop structures, an integrated channel, Velcro® or similar devices. The belt may be adjusted by means of a buckle, a knot or other similar devices.

Abstract: An adjustable height device for aiding in the stretching of a sheet. The device may include a bracket for attaching the device to a bottom surface of a bed frame, a first connector attached to the bracket by a first rotating element so that the first connector can rotate about the first rotating element with respect to the bracket, a telescoping shaft attached to the first connector by a second rotating element so that the telescoping shaft is rotatable about the second rotating element with respect to the first connector, and a gripping device attached to the telescoping shaft by a second connector. The telescoping shaft may be made of an inner shaft slidably inserted into an outer shaft. The gripping device may include a base having a first gripping surface and a movable element having a second gripping surface rotatable about a rotational axis with respect to the base.

Abstract: A crib liner or runner made of a soft blanket that is secured in place over a crib mattress's fitted sheet via an easily applied fastener. Design intent is to provide parents of infant and toddler children a practical way in which to “change” their child's bedding in the event it is soiled with formula, drool or other bodily wastes, without requiring them to change the fitted sheet in order to do so. Modified versions of the crib & mattress runner could also be made available for use with children and adult bedding.

Abstract: A clip for a yoga mat which secures a towel to the mat. The clip has a frame portion along with a cam lever or actuator. A user of the device rotates the cam lever about an axis from a first position to a second position. As the cam lever is rotated toward the second position, a portion of the cam lever makes contact with a movable portion of the frame. The cam lever forces the movable portion from a top location toward a bottom location which shortens a space between two members of the clip. The towel and mat are secured when the device is in the second position.

Abstract: A multi-purpose adjustable retaining device is disclosed. In one embodiment, a cord having two ends is provided that is composed of an elastomeric material configured to deform elastically upon elongation. Each of ends of the cord are threaded through a cord stop, which permits the length of each end to be adjusted, with any spare cord forming a loop extending from a side of the cord stop opposite the two ends. Suspension clips are respectively slidably connected to each end of the cord in order to grip a material.

A stopper unit having at least one retention portion disposed over an engagement portion is provided with the retention portion extending radially beyond the engagement portion. A clip unit detachably coupled to the stopper unit to capture the flexible panel therebetween includes a collar portion defining an engagement channel configured to receive the engagement portion of the stopper unit. The collar portion terminates at first and second opposed ends spaced across a mouth of the engagement channel. An intermediate portion of the flexible panel may then be wrapped over the retention portion of the stopper unit to be gathered and releasably captured about the engagement portion by the clip unit coupled thereto. A flexible tie member may be coupled to the clip unit for releasably anchoring the clip unit to a support fixture.

A method of fastening linen using a fastener including a hub and a magnet at least partially disposed within the hub, including: placing the hub against a first exterior surface of layered linens; engaging, with magnetic force from the magnet, an element located on a second exterior surface of the layered linens, opposite the first exterior surface; and clamping the layered linens between the hub and the element.

Abstract: A spool has a pair of spaced apart plates mounted on opposing sides of a central core. A flexible fabric sheet is positioned in contact with a face of one of the plates of the spool and across a peripheral edge of the plate. A clip includes a pair of legs joined at one end and extending around the core of the spool with the fabric thereby forced into contact with the core. With the legs so inserted between the plates the fabric is captured in the spool so that the spool and clip are not able to move on the fabric or be dislodged from it. The legs terminate with toe curved in opposing lateral directions and which are able to be mutually interlocked in an overlapping attitude.

Abstract: A bed sheet securing assembly includes a clamp that is removably attachable to a bed sheet. The clamp includes a first plate and a second plate. Each of the first and second plates has a first side, a second side, a back edge and a front edge. A biasing member is attached to each of the back edges of the plates and biases the first side of the first plate against the second side of the second plate. A tether is attached to the clamp. The tether is removably couplable to a bed on which the sheet is positioned. An opening apparatus is removably engaged with the clamp and is actuated to open the clamp.

Abstract: The fabric and bed sheet anchor secures the top-sheet to the bottom sheet by use of a two-part clasp, a frame and a plug. The frame is placed on the perpendicular end at the foot of the bed, behind and parallel to the bottom fitted sheet. The plug is placed in alignment with the frame, on the outside of the top sheet, sandwiching both layers of sheet when the plug forces the fabric through an opening in the frame, cinching top and bottom sheet together. The anchoring of the flat sheet prevents it from crawling or bunching, relieves the sleeper from tightness across the toes, and allows for excess sheet at the top where the sleeper needs it. If desired, the bed sheet anchors' unique design allows simultaneous anchoring of both a blanket and the sheets via a second plug into second and larger opening of the same frame.
