Jaw Structures, Teeth Patents (Class 24/DIG22)
  • Patent number: 5954344
Abstract: Interlocking end members for expandable compression rings. Compression rings are formed by attaching the interlocking members to the ends of a flexible strip and coupling the interlocking members together. The interlocking members include a recess for receiving the ends of a flexible strip and a jaw structure for engagement with one another. The jaw structure includes two or more offset opposed jaw members which include angled teeth. The teeth of opposed jaw members of coupled interlocking members engage one another in a locking relationship, whereby the resulting compression ring can be expanded and locked into a range of positions.

  • Patent number: 4887719
Abstract: A material positioning and securing apparatus and process is disclosed that is particularly useful in association with a device for spirally wrapping palletized units at a wrapping station with a stretchable netting material to form a secure package. A disposable elongated material engaging member, formed from reasonably stiff and yet deformable material, is placed adjacent one side of units on a pallet at the wrapping station with the material engaging member having protruding portions oriented to extend in a direction away from the surface of the units for engagement with the netting material as the netting material is wrapped around the units.

  • Patent number: 4705331
Abstract: A self-actuating clamp for attachment to a structural member in a subsea environment is disclosed. The clamp includes a housing having spaced side members, a transverse compression plate mounted between the members across the top of the housing and external accessory mounting surfaces. A pair of opposed, elongated jaw members have their upper portions disposed within the housing, the upper portions of which include upper ends adapted for pivotal mating engagement for permitting limited pivotal movement between the members, with the lower portions of the jaw members projecting below the housing and adapted for opposing clamping engagement with the subsea structural member. Force exerting means, which in one embodiment may comprise a pair of leaf spring assemblies, are provided to cooperate with the housing and jaw members to exert sufficient forces on the jaw members to clamp the jaw members to the exterior surface of the structural member.

  • Patent number: 4633369
Abstract: A power factor correction capacitor is disclosed which includes: one generally flat elongated extended foil pack formed by wrapping a sheet of film, a wider sheet of foil, another but similar sheet of film and another but similar sheet of foil; a second generally flat elongated extended foil pack generally similar to the first pack; and at least one clip which mechanically connects one of the extended sheets of foil in the first pack with one of the extended sheets of foil in the second pack by physically piercing the extended edges of the adjacent foil ends.

  • Patent number: 4441677
Abstract: A clamp device including a resilient lining and with the clamp including an elongated member having a loop portion, and a resilient lining formed by a strip of resilient material of a sufficient length to extend along the elongated member in the loop portion and of a sufficient width to extend across the elongated member in the loop portion. The strip of resilient material is formed on one side of the strip for attachment to the loop portion of the elongated member so as to have the strip form a resilient lining on the inside of the loop portion of the elongated member. The strip of resilient material includes gripping means formed on the other side of the strip and with the gripping means formed as a plurality of needle-like protruberences extending along the length and across the width of the strip from the other side of the strip and toward the center of the loop portion of the elongated member.
