  • Publication number: 20140077014
Abstract: The presently disclosed embodiments, as well as features and aspects thereof, are directed toward a hay bale conversion system. An exemplary embodiment includes a prep table, a converter table and a feed table. The prep table queues hay bales and deposits them into a first position on the converter table. A push blade assembly is hydraulically advanced such that a hay bale that was deposited in the first position, whether the hay bale is round or square in form, will be moved to a second position at the opposite end of the converter table and thrashed down into an un-baled form by a thrasher assembly. The un-baled hay is then deposited onto a first end of a feed table and advanced along the feed table to baling machine that is operationally connected such that the un-baled hay is received and reformed into a bale of a desirable size and/or weight.

  • Patent number: 8662429
Abstract: A shredder for shredding articles, the shredder includes a first cutter that provides a first stage of shredding to shred the articles and a second cutter arrangement that provides a second stage of shredding to shred the articles received from the first cutter arrangement. The second cutter arrangement includes a rotary cutter element rotatable to shred the articles into shredded particles and a filter having openings to enable the shredded particles below a predetermined size to pass therethrough. The shredder also includes an outlet allows shredded particles to exit therefrom and a vacuum that provides air flow through the second cutter arrangement for entraining and moving the articles and/or particles through the outlet.

  • Publication number: 20130306767
Abstract: A pre-grinder or pre-shredder apparatus, essentially made up of at least one drive unit (1) including a hydraulically or electrically driven motor (2), a reduction gear (3) and at least one shredding element (4) connected thereto and mounted on a frame (5), a wall, a feeder chute or any other mounting. The reduction gear (3) of the drive unit (1) of the pre-grinder or pre-shredder forms an element for attaching and supporting at least one shredder element (4) and is made up of a stationary portion (3?), attached directly to the frame (5) of the pre-grinder or pre-shredder or on a mounting or a wall of the latter, and by a mobile portion (3?), the shredder element (4) being inserted on the mobile portion of the reduction gear. The apparatus is useful in treating materials from any source, in particular by shredding using grinders, hammer mills or similar devices.

  • Patent number: 7878435
Abstract: A machine for distributing loosefill insulation is provided. The machine includes a chute having an inlet end configured to receive the loosefill insulation and a lower unit associated with the chute. The lower unit includes a first and second shredder configured to shred and pick apart the loosefill insulation and an agitator configured for final shredding of the loosefill insulation. The lower unit further includes a first shredder guide shell positioned partially around the first shredder, a second shredder guide shell positioned partially around the second shredder and an agitator guide shell positioned partially around the agitator. A discharge mechanism is positioned in the lower unit and is configured to discharge loosefill insulation from the lower unit. The position of a second end of the first shredder guide shell is offset in a vertical direction from the position of a second end of the second shredder guide shell.

  • Publication number: 20100001110
Abstract: A material breaker for breaking larger lumps of material into smaller pieces. The breaker includes at least a first, second and third processing region arranged in series. Each of the processing regions includes an inclined scalping grizzly, a rotor and an impact grid. Large lumps of material move down the scalping grizzly, are engaged by the rotor and accelerated toward the impact grid where they are fractured. The scalping grizzlies and impact grids have openings therein through which pieces of a predetermined desired size and smaller may pass without further engagement in the breaking process. The rotor speeds are sufficiently low enough to enable the larger lumps of desirable material to break into the predetermined size without producing excessive particulates or generating large quantities of dust.

  • Patent number: 7631826
Abstract: A crushing apparatus (10) includes a supplying section (30) for receiving a solid material (M), a crushing section (50) for crushing the material (M) supplied from the supplying section (30), and a discharging section (100) for discharging the material (M) crushed by the crushing section (50) to the outside. The crushing section (50) is formed by partitioning with a first rotating disk (60) and a second rotating disk (70) respectively connected to a first rotating shaft (110) or a second rotating shaft (111). The first rotating disk (60) and the second rotating disk (70) are arranged with pluralities of blades (63, 73) projected from faces thereof opposed to each other and formed with through holes (61, 71) penetrated in an axial direction at positions proximate to a rotational axis center thereof.
