Reversible Rotary Mill Patents (Class 241/189.2)
  • Patent number: 11076528
Abstract: A mulching apparatus including: a housing including a front opening and an inner wall; a rotor mounted in the front opening of the housing adjacent to the inner wall; and a liner mounting system for mounting a replaceable wear liner between the rotor and the inner wall, the liner mounting system including: an upper mounting provided at an upper edge of the inner wall, the upper mounting configured to releasably connect with the wear liner; and a lower mounting provided at a lower edge of the inner wall, the lower mounting configured to support the wear liner against the upper mounting and secure the wear liner to the inner wall.

  • Patent number: 9505007
Abstract: A tub grinder includes a rotatable tub positioned above a floor; a grinder that has cutters defining a circular reducing boundary when the grinder is rotated in a reducing direction; and a deflection structure positioned near the floor above the grinder. The deflection structure includes first and second deflecting portions. The second deflection structure is oriented closer to horizontal than the first deflection structure. At least part of the second deflecting portion is located below a top, dead center of the reducing boundary of the grinder. The deflecting structure limits the trajectory of material ejected from the grinder to a departure angle of about 25 degrees.

  • Publication number: 20100176233
Abstract: A waste shredder (1) includes at least one loading chamber (3), two or more rotors (4) placed in seats formed in the bottom wall of the loading chamber (3) and a movable hopper (2) sliding above the loading chamber (3) and provided with a reciprocating translational movement. The hopper (2) has two end walls (B, B?) and carries a plurality of stiff vanes (5) placed in the spaces between the rotors (4), the end walls (B, B1) and the stiff vanes (5) protruding downward until they skim the bottom of the loading chamber (3) to press the material (8) to be shredded against the rotors (4). The rotors (4) turn in the opposite direction to the translational movement of the hopper (2) and reverse their direction of rotation when the hopper (2) reverses its direction of translation.

  • Patent number: 7284345
Abstract: The milling apparatus (1) has a bucket with a receiving chamber and has a milling unit with a milling rotor (14). The receiving chamber has a receiving opening (4) and is embodied as a bucket (2). On the bottom of the bucket (2), a through opening (19) is provided, which leads into a milling chamber (12). The milling rotor (14) can move material both into the receiving chamber and out of it again. To achieve both modes of operation, in a first embodiment a drive mechanism rotating in a predetermined direction (D) is provided; a beating arm (16) is associated with the first mode of operation, and a further beating arm (24) is associated with the second mode of operation. In another embodiment, which makes do with a single beating arm (16), the milling unit (54) can be operated in two different working positions via a turner. The positions differ from one another by a 180° rotation about a vertical axis that is perpendicular to the axis of rotation of the milling rotor (14).

  • Patent number: 7140568
Abstract: A shredder, crusher, hammermill, ringmill or the like is provided with a multi-sided rotor shaft to which spider arms and hammers are mounted. The rotor shaft has at least one pair, and preferably two or more pairs, of opposing sides. The hammers are pivotally mounted between supports in the shape of spiders or discs. The supports include openings which have straight sides corresponding to the number of straight sides on the rotor shaft. The straight sides of the support openings engage the rotor shaft straight sides. Hence, the supports are rotationally fixed in place relative to the rotor shaft without the use of keys and keyways, pins, bolts, or other types of fasteners, allowing for easier assembly and reduced maintenance costs for the crusher.

  • Patent number: 6955313
Abstract: The present invention concerns improvements in hammer mills, secondary and tertiary, reversing and not, that allow to resolve problems tied to the shattering of the inert hammers. Through the use of a special device circular of rotation, endowed with blades of interception in equal number to that of the hammers that launches the inert material against the front of the hammers, obtaining the shattering totally to impact, in place of the traditional shattering for crushing between hammers and armours.

  • Patent number: 6953168
Abstract: The rotor (2) being operatively associated with an indexing member (13) in the form of a prism, coaxial and secured in rotation with the rotor, said indexing member having a number of projecting edges equal to the number of beaters (3), the indexing member being positioned on the axis of the rotor such that the application of the indexing plate (25) against the surface of the indexing member causes a rotation of the rotor (2) to a position in which one of the beaters is located at a position of maximum approach with the impact baffle (5), wherein approach of said baffle (5) into contact with the end of said beater (3) defines an origin of adjustment of the spacing ® between said baffle and said beater and thus the adjustment of said spacing for the desired granulometry.
