Abstract: A cone crusher characterized by a frame having a completely fabricated construction, an anti-spin mechanism and an improved crusher setting indicator is disclosed. The frame of the structure, which is composed solely of pre-formed and/or forged members, includes a number of tubular members, a number of annular members and a number of ribs, all of which are welded together to provide a rigid, strong frame. The anti-spin mechanism is characterized by the use of a unidirectional valve and a spring loaded ball valve, thereby permitting the rotation of the mantle of the crusher in one direction while barring rotation of the mantle in the opposite direction unless a force exceeding a pre-selected magnitude is applied to the mantle.
Abstract: The inertia cone crusher comprises a shell interconnected through vibration dampers to a crusher base and the shell carrying a crushing bowl which accommodates a breaking head. The shaft of the breaking head carrying an out-of-balance weight having its own rotation drive and axial support. The crusher shell also accommodates a countershaft which is a component of the out-of-balance weight drive. The shaft with one of its ends is movably connected (both axially and radially) to the driving member of the out-of-balance weight drive, whereas the other end of the countershaft is connected to the out-of-balance weight through an axially fixed ball spindle, whereby the latter serves as an axial support for the out-of-balance weight.

Abstract: A wear resistant lining for the inside wall of the bottom shell of a gyratory crusher which includes a plurality of flat plates made out of wear resistant steel plate and having a generally trapezoidal shape and each having a pair of spaced apart holes therein. The plates are placed on the inside of the bottom shell of a gyratory crusher adjacent to each other to encircle the inside of the bottom shell. The holes in each plate are fitted with universal fittings which permit alignment of fasteners which pass through into a hole in the bottom shell of the crusher to enable the wear resistant plates to be secured to the inside of the shell.
Abstract: A crushing part or component of a gyratory grinder or other crushing, grinding or material-reducing machine is provided with a shock-absorbing backing material which has improved toughness and resilience and is formed of a filled polyurethane resin composition the resin component of which is derived from a cold-curing system comprisingI. at least one polyether polyol having more than 2--OH groups per molecule,Ii. at least one polyol containing both ester and ether groups and having more than 2--OH groups per molecule,Iii. at least one polyether diol andIv. at least one aromatic polyisocyanate, there being an excess of CNO groups over --OH groups in the system.
Abstract: An overload preventing device in crushers of the type having a crushing chamber with a conical crushing surface and a crusher head with a conical crushing surface being eccentrically rotatable about a shaft of the crusher, is of a simple and reliable construction and continuously varies the nip formed between the crushing surfaces as a protection against the crusher being overloaded.

Abstract: This is concerned with a crusher clearing system using a plurality of hydraulic jacks disposed with relation to the adjustment ring and main frame of the crusher such that the jacks, as a unit, apply a generally vertical thrust directly between the upper main frame flange and the adjustment ring so that uncrushable material may be removed from the crushing cavity in a stalled or jammed crusher.
Abstract: This is concerned with a liner segment which, when grouped with a plurality of like segments, is usable as a composite wearing element for lining the bowl in a cone crusher or the like. The liner segment may be considered to be generally upright, wider at the bottom than at the top, curvilinear between its sides so as to present a convex surface on one side and a concave surface on the other with integral mounting means projecting from the convex surface.

The jacks are arranged in pairs and the jacks are selectively energized so that the adjustment ring will tilt relative the main frame flange.
Abstract: A gyratory crusher in which a material distributing disc is disposed within supply conduit means at the top of the crusher housing and secured to the upper end of the crusher cone. The distributing disc is provided on its upper surface with upwardly projecting material guiding means.

Abstract: This is concerned with a so-called gyratory crusher bowl clamping system in which a screw-threaded bowl is rotated for adjustment and a so-called rocker arm pressure-off clamping system is provided which avoids dirt, dust and sealing problems. The crusher includes a frame which is greatly simplified, but has increased strength and rigidity as well as a support for the crushing head that greatly simplifies manufacturing and machining problems.
