Publication number: 20140360095Abstract: The aim of this invention is the development of an essentially new method for production of a casing layer (casing) intended for cultivation of mushrooms/plants and the use of appropriate equipment for this purpose. The invention allows the abandonment of raw materials with desired structure and enables making of preferred structure by using locally available low-quality raw materials, which is particularly relevant for countries having no raw materials suitable for the production of mushroom casing. The essence of this method is that a raw paste of ingredients is subjected to mechanical action and in the course of this action extra fibres are gradually added to the paste, fibres which quickly enter the inside of the paste and carry out the function of binding of the material being mixed (primary conglutination). Under continued mechanical action and by adding the rest of the said fibres, agglomeration of formed crumbles occurs (secondary conglutination).Type: ApplicationFiled: January 17, 2013Publication date: December 11, 2014Inventor: Kestutis Juscius

Publication number: 20120325947Abstract: Apparatus for separating components of post-consumer carpet—pile, adhesive, and primary/secondary backings—may initially comprise spectrographic face fiber identification. Separating substantial portions of pile from backing comprises feeding carpeting into a rotating pinned drum, with separated pile U's dropping, while a residual composition, being primarily backing, travels with the drum, to be separated therefrom using vacuum pressure, with the composite backing being sent to a press. Vacuum pressure delivers the separated U's to a spinning perforated squirrel cage to remove dislodged pieces of adhesive, by vacuum pressure applied to an interior top portion of the cage to draw pieces therein. Rotating the perforated squirrel cage, which is sealed on the exterior using a belt, permits the U's to drop into a hopper. A mesh shaker box vibrates to separate any remaining backing from the pile U's. Hammers in a fibermill remove remaining adhesive attached to the separated pile U fiber.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 22, 2011Publication date: December 27, 2012Inventors: Frank Levy, Sergio Dell'Orco

Patent number: 8322642Abstract: An identification and separation arrangement for forming various mixtures of agglomerates from pyrolized reclaimed carbonaceous materials. The identification and separation arrangement uses a dry air source (28) and a source (16) of reclaimed carbonaceous materials containing small agglomerates and large agglomerates. The reclaimed carbonaceous materials are mixed with the dry air source, pressurized and then introduced to a pulverizer mill (12). The pulverizer mill (12) performs a first round of identification and separation by dividing the reclaimed carbonaceous material into small agglomerates and large agglomerates. The pulverizer mill (12) further fractionates the large agglomerates to form more small agglomerates. The small agglomerates are then moved to a classifier (14) that performs a second round of identification and separation. The classifier (14) separates the small agglomerates into coarse agglomerates and fine agglomerates.Type: GrantFiled: October 9, 2008Date of Patent: December 4, 2012Inventor: John H. Fader

Patent number: 8245962Abstract: A rotary tumbler metal reclaimer includes an inner cylinder and a concentric outer cylinder that rotate simultaneously. The inner cylinder includes a first compartment that intakes material for breaking by teeth, a second compartment that receives broken material from the first compartment and crushes the material into smaller particles and a third compartment wherein particulate material enters the space between the inner cylinder and the outer cylinder by attrition through perforated screens. The second compartment includes a crusher having various features for crushing lump material as it rotates. The third compartment provides further breakage and conveyance of particulate material. Particulate material then returns proximate the intake for screening into fine and coarse sizes and then collecting for reuse. Metallics and metallic oxides exit the tumbler through apertures in the rear of the third compartment for collection. The tumbler reclaims metals, metallic oxides, sands, and other materials for reuse.Type: GrantFiled: February 17, 2011Date of Patent: August 21, 2012Assignee: Didion Manufacturing CompanyInventor: Michael S. Patent number: 8196752Abstract: A lump coal size sorting grate comprising parallel bars is provided with three spaced apart, parallel cleaning combs which can be individually activated to clean the sizing grid of lodged coal lumps in a predetermined sequence so that the entire sizing grid is never closed during a coal sorting operation. The cleaning combs are made of spaced, parallel bars which can be pivoted upwardly, between and through the bars of the sizing grate. An adaptive system which senses and responds to a clogged condition in the grate can be provided by sensing crusher motor current or, in the alternative, sensing grate bar deflection using strain gage transducers.Type: GrantFiled: March 30, 2011Date of Patent: June 12, 2012Inventor: Rickey E. Publication number: 20110253817Abstract: A selective collection system for recyclable containers comprising of a housing part, an input device, a material identification device, a sorting guide device, a shredding device, a compressing device, a collection part and a control device. The housing part cases internal component of the selective collection system. The input device is at the upper portion of a housing part and receives an input material laid horizontally on its side. The material identification device receives the input material from the input device and uses a pair of load cells and a metal detect sensor to transmit a signal to the control device, which categorizes the input material into a PET, an aluminum can, or other material based on the signal. The sorting guide device sorts and routes the input material received from the material identification device accordingly.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 2, 2010Publication date: October 20, 2011Inventor: Ki Jeong JEON
