  • Patent number: 10383320
Abstract: A fishing line rinse apparatus having a bucket with a drain spout. A perforated spool with a level wind is disposed on a shaft with a first quick-connector. A drive housing has a base with a pair of pulleys, and a hollow vertical column. A drive disposed within the hollow vertical column of the drive housing has a horizontal drive shaft, a differential, and a vertical drive shaft, wherein the horizontal drive shaft has a second quick-connector that engages the first quick-connector. The vertical drive shaft is selectively engageable with a drill, allowing a drill outside the bucket to spin the spool submerged in water in the bucket to wind and unwind the fishing line, thus rinsing the fishing line and transferring it from a rod to the spool and vice versa. A brake with a thumb screw is disposed on the spool to apply pressure while rewinding the line.

  • Patent number: 8931723
Abstract: A webbing take-up device is obtained that is capable of reducing the load on a reduction balance spring without using special components, and without performing special processing on a spiral direction inside end of the reduction balance spring. When the reduction balance spring rotates in a take-up direction as winding of the reduction balance spring loosens, an inside engagement portion turns in the take-up direction inside an engagement groove. Accordingly, a load absorption portion which is further to a main body portion side of the reduction balance spring than the inside engagement portion curves into a concave shape that is open towards a pull-out direction as the load absorption portion stands up. In this state, when further load in the take-up direction acts on the reduction balance spring, this load is absorbed by the load absorption portion undergoing resilient deformation so as to curve further.

  • Patent number: 8925849
Abstract: A webbing retractor that can alleviate the load on a reducing balance spring without increasing cost and weight is obtained. When a ring inertially rotates in a retraction direction together with a ratchet gear, a ring-side pressing portion of a load receiving portion accommodating portion formed in the ring presses a spring-side load receiving portion of a clutch spring in the retraction direction. Due to this, the clutch spring is loosened, whereby the ring can easily inertially rotate in the retraction direction together with the ratchet gear, and the load acting on a reducing balance spring can be alleviated.

In this webbing take-up device, a take-up spring unit is arranged closer to the opening side of a case than a reduction spring unit within a case. For this reason, when a clutch is arranged inside the reduction balance spring and the inner end of the reduction balance spring in a spiral direction is locked to a spring case of the clutch, the clutch and the reduction balance spring can be easily and visually recognized from the opening side of the case. Thus, the other end of the reduction balance spring can be easily locked to the spring case.

  • Patent number: 8439291
Abstract: It is provided a webbing winding device with good assembly characteristics of components in a second lock unit. In the webbing winding device, due to a leading end of a spring tab of a guide plate interacting with ratchet teeth of an internal ratchet and a second lock base rotating in the pull-out direction in this state, relative rotation occurs between the guide plate and the second lock base, and a second lock pawl is meshed with the ratchet teeth of the internal ratchet. Since this configuration is not a configuration in which relative rotation between the guide plate and a second lock base is induced by bias force of bias means, such as a compression coil spring or the like, there is no bias force received in the rotational circumferential direction when the guide plate and the second lock base are being assembled, resulting in easy assembly.

  • Patent number: 8376258
Abstract: A webbing take-up device enabling a reduction in size of an overload release mechanism and easy adjustment of an operation torque of the overload release mechanism is provided. In the overload release mechanism of this webbing take-up device, rotary force of a large diameter gear is transmitted to a small diameter gear via plural annular friction springs. The friction springs are disposed between an inner periphery face of a main body portion of the large diameter gear and a tubular portion of the small diameter gear, side by side along an axial direction of the two gears. Consequently, a radial direction enlargement of the large diameter gear and small diameter gear due to space for disposing the friction springs may be restrained. Moreover, the operation torque of the overload release mechanism may be adjusted stepwise by changing the number of the friction springs to be used, in accordance with requirements.

In a webbing retractor, spring claws engage with recesses of a rotor, and a gear wheel and the rotor are connected. When relative rotational force is applied between the rotor and the gear wheel, the spring claws elastically deform and engagement thereof with the recesses is released. Abstract: An apparatus for replacement of a starter cord in a small motor starter cord assembly. A spindle is mounted within a hub with a handle at one end and a tool fitting at the other end. The hub includes at least two arms. The arms attached to the hub are of a size to fit within a pull cord apparatus that is removed from a small motor and inverted. The arms extend to secure against the side of the pull cord apparatus. At the end of the spindle opposite a handle, a variety of tools can attach to the spindle to fit within or fit over the spring-mounted reel in a starter cord apparatus. The tool is placed within the starter cord apparatus. The arms extend to secure it in place. The tool is fitted to the reel and the handle rotated to wind the reel to a fully wound position so that a new starter cord can be threaded into the reel and tied off. The tool is then released to allow the spring to unwind hence, winding a replacement cord onto the reel.

A rope coupling is connected to the second end of the traction rope for preventing the second end of the traction rope from passing through the opening of the casing. A tension meter is disposed between the traction rope and the rope coupling for measuring a tension of the traction rope. A shaft is supported by the casing for undergoing rotation relative to the drum and is connected to a second end of the spring. A ratchet mechanism rotates the shaft to apply an initial load to the spring.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a belt roller having a wind-up spring disposed between a housing part and a shaft onto which the belt is wound, the wind-up spring effecting wind-up rotation of the shaft, and a comfort spring serially actuable in connection with the wind-up spring via a ratchet gear and exerting a lesser spring force than the wind-up spring. A reduction drive is provided for switching between the wind-up spring and the comfort spring, the reduction drive having a follower gear for controlling a switch lever, whereby the reduction relationship of the reduction drive is arranged such that the rotation which begins with uncoiling of the belt and continues until the reaching of the switch point for switching the wind-up spring effects less than a complete rotation of the follower gear.

  • Patent number: 6431485
Abstract: An automotive seatbelt take-up device has a primary spiral spring biasing a take-up shaft in a seatbelt take-up direction. A spring clutch transfers rotation of the take-up shaft in a seatbelt drawing-out direction to a ring. A secondary spiral spring is capable of generating rotational biasing force on the take-up shaft in a direction opposite that of the primary spiral spring. Thus, the present invention provides an automotive seatbelt take-up device that can reduce both the drawing-out force and the take-up force of a seatbelt when the seatbelt is being worn.

  • Patent number: 6263942
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a modular roll-up partition assembly, such as a rolling protective shutter, implementing an improved tension adjustment mechanism for torsion springs used in roll-up partition assemblies. In one embodiment, the roll-up partition assembly of the present invention includes a tension adjustment mechanism to adjust the tension of a torsion spring connected between a support rod and the partition support member. The tension adjustment mechanism rotates the support rod to move the end of the torsion spring connected to the rod relative to the end of the torsion spring connected to the partition support member. Unlike previous roll-up partition assemblies which permitted adjustment of the torsion spring tension only in increments of a full rotation of the support member, the tension adjustment mechanism facilitates fine adjustment of the torsion spring in increments of less than a full rotation of the partition support member.
