Abstract: A strap adjusting device for a harness-adjustment strap having a length, a first end affixed to an aircraft seat-mounted harness and a spaced opposite second end which is free. A wind up device removably affixed to the strap at the second end. The wind up device automatically winds up the strap for a determined length from the second end. The determined length of the strap is thus compacted and restrained from hanging loose. The wind up device includes a housing and a spring in the housing for winding up the strap. A clamp releasably clamps the second end of the strap to the spring.
Abstract: A fishing reel includes a clutch mechanism disposed between a spool and a winding control system, and a pair of clutch controllers for disengaging the clutch mechanism. One of the clutch controllers has a toggle spring for causing this controller to retain the clutch mechanism in a disengaged position after a declutching operation. The other clutch controller has a coil spring for allowing a declutching operation in a momentary mode. Upon release of the other clutch controller after a declutching operation, the coil spring causes the clutch mechanism to return to an engaged position and the other clutch controller to an inoperative position.
Abstract: The invention relates to a safety belt restraining system for vehicles comprising a belt retractor 10 and a webbing clamping means 12 arranged downstream of the retractor 10 and having two clamping wedges 46, 48 which are arranged opposite each other in a housing on either side of the webbing 22. The belt retractor 10 blockable in vehicle-sensitive and/or webbing-sensitive manner and the webbing clamping means 12 are connected together by connecting means 60, 62. With plastic deformation they yield and permit a limited moving of the webbing clamping means 12 away from the belt retractor 10 when the force exerted on the webbing 22 exceeds a predetermined value.
