  • Patent number: 11081295
Abstract: A winding apparatus is disclosed for winding material around a core of flat shape rotated around a rotation axis carried by a crank that is in turn carried by another crank, the three rotation axes of the core and of the two cranks being motorized independently by respective electric cams, with three distinct laws of motion programmed to cancel the variations in position and speed of the material entering the core. The winding apparatus is used for the production of electric energy storage devices.

  • Patent number: 10647539
Abstract: This invention relates to a tension buffer system for multi-wirepay-off system. The tension buffer system comprises guiding pulleys (4, 4a, 4b) adapted to guide wires (6, 6a, 6b) being paid off, and reversing pulleys (8). Each reversing pulley (8) is adapted to guide a wire (6, 6a, 6b) from the guiding pulley (4, 4a, 4b) and back to the guiding pulley (4, 4a, 4b), two reversing pulleys (8) are rotatably mounted on a first support (10), the first support (10) is pivoted around first support axis (12) lying between the two reversing pulleys (8) so that pivoting brings one of the two reversing pulleys (8) closer to the guiding pulley (4, 4a, 4b) while the other of the two reversing pulleys (8) more remote from said guiding pulley (4, 4a, 4b). This invention provides a mechanical device to balance the tension difference between multiple wires in the pay-off system to produce a steel cord with constant tension and satisfactory quality.

  • Patent number: 10526160
Abstract: A system (10) for winding multiple elongated elements (12, 14) simultaneously under a substantially same tension on a single spool (16) comprises one pendulum arm (18) and one set of actuators (22) acting on the pendulum arm (18) and balancing with the sum of tensions of each elongated element (12, 14). The system (10) further comprises one or more balancing arms (26, 40): A first balancing arm (26) is attached to the pendulum arm (18), the other balancing arms (if any) are attached to the first balancing arm (26). Each balancing arm (26) is pivotable upon a balancing arm axis (28). A first set of one or more reversing pulleys (30) is positioned at one side of the first balancing arm axis (28) and a second set of one or more reversing pulleys (32) is positioned at the other side of said balancing arm axis (28). Each of the reversing pulleys (30, 32) guides an elongated element (12, 14) to be wound.

  • Publication number: 20140191074
Abstract: A first yarn feeder is provided with a drum which has a plurality of yarn loops wound thereon and is driven to rotate by a respective motor. The motor is electronically connected to a textile machine for rotating at a speed proportional to the yarn-drawing speed of the textile machine and delivering the yarn wound on the drum to the latter. A second feeder is arranged to draw the yarn from a reel and to deliver it to the first feeder, with a delivery action which is modulated by a control loop. The latter is programmed to stabilize the tension of the yarn unwinding from the second feeder on a predetermined value on the basis of a signal received from a tension sensor operatively coupled to the yarn.

  • Patent number: 6672363
Abstract: The invention pertains to a window shade with a shade panel, with a rotatable winding shaft 1 for winding up the panel onto the winding shaft 1 to form a roll 2 and for unwinding the panel from this winding shaft 1 to form a panel surface 3, and with a drive M. The invention is characterized in that control means R are provided upline of the winding shaft 1 to vary the rotational speed of the winding shaft in such a way that the winding shaft 1 has several periods in each revolution, where the angular velocity changes in a predetermined manner within each period.

  • Patent number: 6499689
Abstract: A wire winding apparatus produces a coil of a desired shape quickly and inexpensively. An element wire to be wound on a winding frame is supported while a predetermined tension is applied to the element wire. When the element wire is shifted from a turn to another turn during the winding of the element wire around the winding frame, the element wire is regularly aligned by utilizing the tension applied to the element wire.

  • Patent number: 5826774
Abstract: A tensioner for an armature winder which significantly reduces instantaneous increases in wire tension during winding or lead connection. System controls control the drag of a hysteresis brake, monitor wire tension via a load cell, and control a dancer arm's position through limit sensors and a closed-loop proportional valve (which regulates the pressure within an air cylinder coupled to the dancer arm). These system controls significantly reduce instantaneous increases in wire tension during winding, during the start of winding, and during lead connection. A wire breakage detection device also monitors the wire during winding and signals the system controls if wire breakage is detected. Upon such detection, a rapid discharge valve discharges the air cylinder, and flyer arm rotation is halted prior to the wire becoming unthreaded from the flyer arm.
