Accommodates Roll Transfer Patents (Class 242/422.7)
  • Patent number: 10105758
Abstract: An arrangement includes a processing chamber, a coating platform located in the processing chamber, and a coating device with a coating element located in the processing chamber for coating a metal or ceramic powder. The arrangement also has an exchanging device for exchanging at least one portion of the coating element with another portion of the same coating element or for exchanging the entire coating element with another coating element within the processing chamber when the processing chamber is closed. The exchanging device can include a multiple head, e.g., a pivoting head or revolving head, an exchanging station, and/or a moving device that allows a coating element portion that is to be exchanged to be moved or pushed away. A part of the coating element can also be rolled on a supply roller, and the coating element portion can be exchanged by unrolling the coating element from the supply roller.

  • Patent number: 8453957
Abstract: A yarn package halter comprises a frame for supporting a series of contact members that are used to maintain slight contact with the base or back portion of a yarn package during an unwinding operation as part of a textile manufacturing process. In a preferred embodiment, the contact members are elastic cords, which serve to hold the yarn package together in order to prevent the yarn package from unraveling, which can lead to entanglements and other processing problems. The frame member is structured so that the contact members form a cone shape or a partial cone shape, and this arrangement allows the contact members to maintain slight contact throughout the manufacturing process, even as the size of the yarn package is reduced during the unwinding operation.

  • Patent number: 7875152
Abstract: A torn paper web capture system that is a mechanism for securing a band, tape or strap, preferably composed of paper, across a paper roll as the roll is rotating. A sensor means detects the torn paper web and initiates both the shut down of rotation of the paper roll and the release of the band. The band resides within a guide track, the track being generally C-shaped in cross-section Upon contact with spool journal or similar rotating member the end of the band adheres and is wrapped around the rotating member. This wrapping action takes up the slack in the band and pulls it from the guide track and against the paper web, thereby securing the loose end of the paper web. The contact between the band and the rotating member may be initiated in multiple ways, such as with a nip roller, an actuating shoe member, or the like.

  • Patent number: 6502780
Abstract: A point of sale printer is provided with a large paper supply roll mounted externally from the printer. The printer includes a paper drive which rapidly accelerates and decelerates a paper web extending from the paper supply roll. A tensioning roll is moved in one direction to feed the web into the printer during the relatively slow acceleration of the paper supply roll and in an opposite direction to prevent a tangle of paper as the paper supply roll is decelerated after the printer stops moving the paper web. A cable assembly is provided to facilitate loading the large paper supply roll. A braking spring helps to decelerate the paper supply roll and further engages a flap formed in an outer end of the paper web to thread this end of the web into the printer.
