  • Patent number: 8424793
Abstract: Disclosed is a filament winding device wherein an FRP layer is prevented from becoming thick by avoiding piled fibers in the case of the feeding of multiple filaments when a plurality of fibers are fed simultaneously. For realizing this theme, a filament winding device moves a fiber guide member equipped with a plurality of fiber feeding ports relatively in an axial direction of a wound member rotating relatively about the axis, and feeds fibers through the fiber feeding ports to wind the fibers around the wound member, wherein the fiber feeding ports are provided only in part of the fiber guide member. When the fiber guide member is moved relatively in the axial direction of the wound member, a plurality of fibers are fed only from one side when viewed from the wound member and the fibers are wound around the wound member while being gathered on the periphery of the wound member.

  • Patent number: 7815141
Abstract: A filament winding apparatus that efficiently and orderly winds a fiber bundle with respect to a mandrel in a short period of time. A supporting board supports the mandrel, and a helical winding head supplies and guides the fiber bundle towards the mandrel. The helical winding head includes a group of guide tubes radially arranged on a circumferential surface of a guide ring, and a tube operation mechanism that reciprocates the guide tube along a tube axis center direction. The guide tube is moved closer to a circumferential surface of the dome part when the guide tube is facing a dome part of the mandrel such that the distance between the winding position of the fiber bundle and the guide tube at the dome part can be reduced, and the fiber bundle is orderly wound according to an appropriate winding trajectory.

  • Patent number: 7090162
Abstract: An apparatus for winding, in the form of a quadrupole, an optical fiber used for forming a sensor coil of a fiber optic gyroscope. A center shaft is supported by a pair of support sections. A cylindrical spool is fitted around the center shaft. A pair of winding disks are arranged adjacent to both ends of the spool so that they can be rotated about the center shaft. A pair of reels are mounted to facing surfaces of the winding disks so that both halves of the optical fiber to be wound on the spool can be wound on the reels, respectively. The winding disks can be rotated at the same velocity in opposite directions. The cylindrical spool is installed to be reciprocated along an axis of the center shaft. The respective reels mounted to the winding disks are spaced apart from each other by a predetermined interval.

  • Patent number: 6663039
Abstract: A presently-preferred process for manufacturing a magnetic-induction device comprises stacking a plurality of laminae to form a winding leg, a first yoke, and a second yoke, and fixedly coupling a first end of the winding leg to the first yoke. The presently-preferred process also comprises winding a length of insulated conductive cabling on the winding leg to form a phase winding after fixedly coupling the winding leg to the first yoke, and fixedly coupling a second end of the winding leg to the second yoke after forming the phase winding. Alternatively, the length of insulated conductive cabling may be wound on the winding leg after the second end of the winding leg has been fixedly coupled to the second yoke.
