Longitudinal And Transverse Severing Patents (Class 242/524.1)
  • Patent number: 10258151
Abstract: Described is a drawing table having a flat, rectangular surface disposed horizontally and having a pair of parallel elongated support members attached on opposing sides of the surface. Spindles are provided on opposing ends of the rectangular surface, and the spindles connect the pair of parallel elongated support members. A roll of paper can be suspended on a spindle and the paper can be stretched across the surface. The free end of the paper can be secured on the opposing side of the table by threading the paper through a slot that extends through the opposing spindle. The surface may further include a chalkboard thereon and one or more paper holders that maintain the position of the paper on the surface. Further, the drawing table includes legs that can be folded for storage, or unfolded so as to support the drawing table surface in a horizontal, elevated position.

  • Patent number: 6869039
Abstract: A paper web (W) is longitudinally divided into slit webs of desired widths and the slit webs are wound into rolls (R) about roll cores (H) at a winding station (17A, 17B). The web is cut by a web-severing device (16) in conjunction with the roll set change of the winding operation. At least two slitter assemblies (15A, 15B) are employed for slitting the web (W) and, when given ones of the slitter assemblies (15A, 15B) are slitting the web (W) into one set of slit webs, the desired ones of the other slitter assemblies (15A, 15B) are preset into desired slitting width positions for slitting the next set of slit webs. The winding apparatus has slitter assemblies (15) for longitudinally dividing a web (W) into slit webs and a winding station (17A; 17B) for winding the slit webs into rolls (R) and a web-severing device for cutting the web.

  • Patent number: 6371399
Abstract: A machine that has an assembly formed from a frame on which is rotatably mounted on a drum with parallel winding cores. This assembly is mounted so as to move translationally in a horizontal direction perpendicular to the axes of the drum and of the cores, while the sheet product feeding mechanism is fixed. The translational displacement of the movable assembly allows its gradual advance as the diameter of a reel being formed grows and also makes it possible to leave, between this assembly and the sheet product feeding mechanism, a gap available for an operator, for the purpose of introducing the leading edge of the sheet product onto one of the cores.
