Wedging Roller Or Ball Patents (Class 242/571.7)
  • Patent number: 10654675
Abstract: A sliding device for a material shaft includes a shaft body, sliding units, spacers. An outer periphery of the shaft body has axial accommodating grooves. The sliding units and the spacers are spaced and arranged in the accommodating grooves. A top surface of each roller extends out of the outer periphery of the shaft body. When a material roll is sleeved on the shaft body, the inner wall of the material roll is in contact with the outer periphery of the rollers. When the material roll is to be mounted on or dismounted from the shaft body, the material roll is pushed in a direction so that the inner wall of the material roll rubs against the rollers, thereby rotating the rollers. The friction between the material roll and the shaft body is reduced for the material roll to be mounted on or dismounted from the shaft body effortlessly.

  • Patent number: 10436235
Abstract: An adjustable rod assembly includes an elongate first tubular member having a first end and a second end. A cam body is secured to the first end of the first tubular member and has an oblong shaft portion. A collar is disposed about the cam body with an inner surface shaped to coincide with the oblong shaft portion. An elastomeric sleeve is disposed about the collar. An elongate second tubular member has a first end sized to receive the first end of the first tubular member within an internal cavity and engages the elastomeric sleeve. Rotation of the collar to a locked position causes a force from the elastomeric sleeve against an internal surface of the second tubular member to resist axial translation. At least one of the first tubular member second end and a second tubular member second end is adapted to engage a household surface.

  • Patent number: 9581207
Abstract: A structure of a transfer mechanism is supported by a bearing (15) attached to a disc (10) of a rotary table (1), connects between driven shafts (20) extending in a direction parallel to a rotation shaft (11) and a driving shaft (30) which rotates and drives the rotation shaft (11), and transfers rotation power from the driving shaft (30) to the driven shafts (20). Rollers (31) that turn around a radially extending shaft are arranged at intervals on an outer periphery of one of the driven shafts (20) and the driving shaft (30) in a circumferential direction, and at least one radially extending pins (23) are provided on an outer periphery of the other of the driven shafts (20) and the driving shaft (30), and the pins (23) enter among the rollers (31) arranged adjacent to one another in the circumferential direction in a state in which the driven shafts (20) and the driving shaft (30) are connected.

  • Patent number: 9073729
Abstract: A support for mounting a paperboard yarn core on a spindle assembly includes a proximal-end support member for supporting a proximal end of the core and engaging it in a substantially non-slip manner, and a distal-end support member for supporting a distal end of the core. The proximal-end support member is configured to be mounted on a hub of the spindle assembly. The support members locate the core substantially coaxially with respect to a rotational axis of the spindle assembly. The proximal-end support member is configured to automatically prevent or minimize slippage of the core with respect to the support member both in acceleration and deceleration or braking of the spindle assembly.

  • Patent number: 7770838
Abstract: The invention relates to a method of releasing a reel awe, which is hydraulically restrained by a self-locking effect by means of inwardly located wedge surfaces of expansion elements. Removal of a coil from a reel awe is achieved, without problems, by lifting off the self-locking effect of the expansion elements at least partially or completely by applying longitudinal vibrations acting in an axial direction. The invention also relates to a correspondingly formed device.

  • Patent number: 7540448
Abstract: A core chuck for a web-winding machine has a drive shaft extending along an axis and having an outer periphery of polygonal shape seen axially and a hub having a central hole with a polygonal shape substantially complementary to the shaft and fittable with limited clearance over the shaft. A plurality of outwardly directed faces on the hub engage respective jaws and are angled such that relative rotation between the hub and the jaws radially displaces the jaws. A retaining screw extending along an axis of rotation of the shaft through the hub has a threaded shank seatable in the shaft and a head engageable axially in one direction with the hub. A cover disk axially fixed on the hub is formed on the axis with a hole of smaller diameter than the head of the screw. The screw head is captured axially between the disk and the hub.

  • Patent number: 7000867
Abstract: The lamination apparatus of this invention is furnished with a supporting member for a core roll around which films and so forth are wound. The supporting member is durable and can hold firmly the core roll without slip of the core roll for the shaft. The lamination apparatus is to form lamination layers of laminate film pasted on the surface of the printed matters like computer output media, posters, advertising fliers and so forth. The supporting member for a core roll is comprised of a flexible tube 74 like a soft vinyl tube with both ends fixed with fitting 75 in the grooves made on the cylindrical surface of the shaft 71 cut in the axial direction which supports a core roll of laminate film, carrier film and so forth.

  • Patent number: 6712308
Abstract: A chuck is mounted on a drive shaft and torque can be transferred to an inner ring (30) of the chuck from the drive shaft. A casing (28) of the chuck surrounds the inner ring and supports four circumferentially-spaced cam elements (40) for gripping and supporting the core. Each cam element comprises a cam pivotably mounted on the housing and operated by a cam roller (58) mounted on the inner ring. Relative rotation of the inner ring and the casing causes the cam roller to move along a cam surface on the underside of its cam and to raise either end of the cam to engage the core. A switching element (80) is housed in a chamber in the casing between each pair of cam elements. Each switching element comprises a detent spring (90) having a central detent and being captive within the chamber (82), and a detent roller (88) mounted on the inner ring.

  • Publication number: 20020121570
Abstract: Cores can be engaged and disengaged with a plurality of annular devices fitted over a mandrel. The mandrel has fluid passage communicating with a spaced plurality of radially disposed channels. Pistons in the channels can, in response to fluid pressure, extend outwardly in order to bear on the annular devices. Changes in the volume of fluid inside the fluid passage and the channels are substantially equal to the total displacement of the pistons. Each annular device has an inner ring with at least one camming track rotatably mounted inside an outer ring. The inner ring has an inside portion including a material different from material of said outer ring. The outer ring is fitted inside the core and the inner ring is fitted over the mandrel. A gripping member is fitted in an aperture of the outer ring to move along the camming track. This gripping member is outwardly thrustable through the aperture in accordance with the position of the gripping member in the camming track.
