  • Patent number: 9363947
Abstract: A bale mover with self-adjusting spinners for loading/unloading bales and unrolling bales. The bale mover includes a cross member and a pair of opposing arms that extend generally orthogonally to the cross member. The cross member is pivotable about an axis extending transverse to the bale mover to move the arms to extend away from the bale mover. The arms are pivotable toward one another to pinch a bale between distal ends thereof. A spinner is provided at the distal end of each arm. The spinners include axles secured to the arms and spinner bodies which are rotatable about the respective axles to facilitate rotation of a bale engaged by the spinners. The spinners are also pivotable relative to the axles to enable alignment of the spinners with surfaces of the bale.

  • Patent number: 7331543
Abstract: A strap reel support device for a strap reel stand includes a telescopic rod unit pivotally fitted on a transverse shaft secured on the upper center of a frame body. The telescopic rod unit is equidistantly secured thereon with three main rods radially extending outward and respectively fitted therein with a telescopic support rod. The three support rods of the telescopic rod unit are able to be adjusted to extend outward or contract inward to have their outer ends pushing and supporting the inner wall of different-sized packing strap reels. An inner disc and an outer disc are fitted on the shaft of the stand body for restricting and positioning the inner and the outer side of the packing strap.

  • Patent number: 6669129
Abstract: A fiber optic cable winding tool having a disk-shaped base and a pair of semi-circular spools slidably mounted on the base. The spools are radially adjustable toward and from the central axis of the base by providing the spools on rails connected to and radially extending away from the central axis of the base. Each spool has a fiber optic cable contacting surface with a radius of curvature exceeding a minimum bend radius of the fiber optic cable. A pair of linkage arms connect to each spool and further connect to a slide block spaced from the spools. One of the spools is capable of being retained against the base once the desired diameter of the winding is located. The retained spool, in conjunction with the linkage arms and slide block, prevent the other spool from sliding relative to the base. This way the diameter of the spools can be set and the fiber optic cable may be wound thereon.

  • Patent number: 6533205
Abstract: A fiber optic cable winding tool having concentric upper and lower disk-shaped bases that are rotatable relative to each other. Four quarter-circle spools are slidably mounted on the upper base, and are radially adjustable towards and from the central axis of the upper base via radial slots formed in the lower base. Each spool has a fiber optic cable contacting surface with a radius of curvature exceeding a minimum bend radius of the fiber optic cable. The radial slots communicate with corresponding arcuate slots formed in the lower base, and roller guides are provided through each radial slot and its corresponding arcuate slot and connects to a corresponding spool. When the upper and lower bases are rotated relative to each other, the spools move either towards or away from the central axis of the upper base, enabling a spool a diameter to be set. A thumb screw is also provided to bear against the rear base and maintain the desired diameter setting.

  • Patent number: 6508433
Abstract: A collapsible hub assembly is disclosed. The collapsible hub assembly includes a hub having a slot formed therein and a first contact surface, a wedge movably positioned in the slot and including a second contact surface. The wedge is movable between a locked position and a collapsed position. With the wedge in the locked position, a material pack is wound onto the collapsible hub assembly and engages the first and second contact surfaces with a first force that fixedly connects the material pack to the hub and the wedge. The material pack can be removed from the collapsible hub assembly by moving the wedge to the collapsed position so that the magnitude of the first force is reduced and the material pack is not fixedly connected to the hub. A lock can be movably positioned in the slot to hold the wedge at the locked position. The wedge can be moved to the collapsed position by removing the lock.
