Abstract: A flexible laminated solar cell comprising a CIGS photovoltaic layer having two opposing generally flat first and second parallel surfaces; a first encapsulation layer placed on each of said first and second parallel surfaces; an encapsulation vapor barrier film placed on each of said first encaption layers; a second encapsulation layer placed on said encapsulation vapor barrier films; and a third encapsulation layer placed on at least one of said second encapsulation layers. The laminated structure with encapsulation layers protects the CIGS photovoltaic layer against moisture and atmospheric pollutants. The CIGS laminated structure is used in a versatile portable solar charger provided with user interfaces to monitor and control the charger and devices or features contained therein.

Abstract: A printing apparatus includes a rotary shaft configured to rotate while holding a roll body of a printing medium, a first motor configured to rotate the rotary shaft, a roller pair configured to transport the printing medium downstream by rotating in a state of pinching the printing medium, a second motor configured to rotate the roller pair, a first sensor configured to detect a tip end or a feature of the printing medium, a second sensor configured to detect the tip end or feature of the printing medium, and an outer diameter calculating unit configured to calculate an outer diameter of the roll body based on detection by the first sensor and detection by the second sensor, wherein the outer diameter calculating unit calculates an outer diameter of the roll body before the tip end of the printing medium is pinched by the roller pair.

Abstract: An apparatus to handle and relocate rolled fire hose, the apparatus includes a frame, a rotating platform mounted to the frame, a pair of leg members joined by a pivot that splays and retracts the frame, and wheels mounted on the lower portion of each leg. The rotating platform is operable to rotate around an axis perpendicular to the splaying plane created by the legs. The collapsible apparatus, when upright, provides a two tined fork for straddling and lifting the lower perimeter of a rolled fire hose. When tilted rearwards onto the apparatus' wheels, the fork raises the rolled hose off the ground and thus enables “dollying” the rolled hose to any location. When the apparatus is oriented horizontally, the apparatus provides a means for easy, yet controlled uncoiling of the hose roll as the hose is fed to firefighters reloading the hose back onto fire truck's hose bed.

Abstract: A door for a towel dispensing cabinet may be pivotable over an opening of a cavity. Frameworks may extend from a face of the door and define slots for stably receiving ends of a spindle assembly onto which a towel roll may be mounted. The frameworks may also include channels through which a shaft connecting the ends of the spindle assembly may be received to allow the spindle assembly to be received deeper into the slots. Towels may be dispensed from spindle assembly when stably received within the frameworks when the door is open. The door may be closed to position the spindle assembly within the cavity and seal the opening. The spindle assembly may also be removed from the frameworks for separate use when the door is open.

Abstract: A toilet paper dispenser is disclosed in which the dispenser does not need to be mounted to the wall or placed on the floor. The dispenser is typically made of a one-piece construction that installs easily to any existing toilet by way of the mounting bolt for the toilet seat. The toilet paper dispenser adjustably rotates between an extended position alongside the toilet seat and a storage position behind the toilet seat and under the toilet tank. The inventive toilet paper dispenser can receive any size roll of toilet paper, and loads by sliding the roll over the open end of the dispenser. A modified bolt hole can allow the dispenser to be installed and secured in place on the mounting bolt without the need of a retaining nut.

Abstract: A paper product dispenser assembly has a hood that includes a hood coupling component, as well as a first rear housing member that is configured for selective coupling with the hood. The first rear housing member has a first coupling component that cooperates with the hood coupling component for releasably coupling the hood and the first rear housing member to one another. The first rear housing member and the hood jointly define a first housing that is adapted to hold a roll of paper product therein. A second rear housing member of the assembly is configured for selective coupling with the hood in place of the first rear housing member. The second rear housing member has a second coupling component that cooperates with the hood coupling component for releasably coupling the hood and the second rear housing member to one another.

Abstract: A festoon device includes a frame, which extends vertically, an upper pulley, which is rotationally supported by an upper part of the frame, and a lower pulley, which is rotationally supported by the frame below the upper pulley and is selectively moved up and down. The frame rotationally supports two auxiliary pulleys, which are arranged at a position closer to the frame than the upper pulley and the lower pulley. The festoon device is configured such that a wire is looped about the upper pulley and the lower pulley after being looped about the auxiliary pulleys.

Abstract: A cable reel trolley includes a main body fixed with a carrying unit, and a wheel frame and a third wheel at the bottom, with the third wheel parallel to the wheel frame. The wheel frame has two ends respectively installed with a first wheel and a second wheel. A direction-swaying member is fixed between the wheel frame and the first wheel, able to shift the axial direction of the first wheel so that the trolley can move with the first wheel and the second wheel or with the first wheel and the third wheel optionally. That is, the trolley can travel forward and backward or leftward and rightward, turning vertically in a narrow space.

Abstract: A pet waste bag kit includes a dispenser receiving a pet waste bag roll, and a roll-back arrangement. The pet waste bag roll includes a plurality of continuous disposable bags stacked in a roll form, wherein a distal of a preceding disposable bag is linked to a proximal of a following disposable bag. When the preceding disposable bag is dispensed out of the dispenser through the slit opening, the proximal of the following disposable bag is pulled out of the dispenser through the slit opening. The roll-back arrangement is extended from a center of the pet waste bag roll for rolling back the continuous disposable bags in the dispenser to draw back the proximal of the following disposable bag toward the slit opening. The exposed portion of the proximal of the following disposable bag is minimized after the dispensing of the preceding disposable bag.

Abstract: A reel dispenser includes a housing, a coupling associated with a reel and a mounting for removably mounting the coupling to the housing so that the coupling is movable between a mounted and a dismounted condition. The coupling includes a key. The mounting includes a lock arrangement which is movable between a locked condition and a free condition. The reel dispenser is arranged so that when the coupling is moved from the dismounted condition to the mounted condition, the key moves the lock arrangement to the free condition, permitting rotation of the coupling relative to the housing.

Abstract: A device dispenser for a roll of absorbent paper, tissue or nonwoven material is provided. The dispenser has a housing with a first wall provided with a dispensing opening and a movable housing portion, which movable housing portion in an open position allows the dispenser to be refilled. The dispenser has a suspension arrangement for the roll and in which the roll is rotatable. The suspension arrangement is arranged to bias the roll towards the dispensing opening in a dispensing position when the movable housing portion is in a closed position. The suspension arrangement is connected to a pull-back mechanism linked to the movable housing portion for repositioning the suspension arrangement into a refilling position at a distance from the dispensing position when the movable housing portion is moved from the closed position to the open position.

One of the channel members features an opening in a central wall of the channel for insertion of an elongated support member through the opening into a position seating opposite ends of the support member respectively within the two channels with a paper roll rotatably disposed on the support member between the two channel members. The support member and channels are dimensioned so as to prevent tilting of the support member in a manner allowing withdrawal thereof from the channels until the paper roll is entirely, or at least substantially, consumed, thus preventing theft of the paper roll.

Abstract: A wire reel holder and dispensing assembly is provided for transporting, holding, and dispensing wire from a wire reel. The holder and assembly includes an elongated shaft configured for insertion through a wire reel. Each of a pair of end members has a polygonal outer perimeter edge and a central opening. The shaft is slidably insertable through the central opening of each end member positioning the end members at each end of the wire reel. Each end member is securable to the shaft to hold the wire reel in a static position along a length of the shaft and prevent rolling of the wire reel on the shaft. A holding assembly is provided for connecting the shaft, end members and wire reel to a vehicle.

Abstract: A method and device for handling and deploying a sheet of material are provided. In a first version, a rigid rod is positioned within a flexible cylindrical core and the sheet is wrapped around the core. The rod is then removed from the core and the core and sheet may be folded and reshaped for storage or shipment. The core and sheet may then be unfolded and the sheet may be unwrapped from the core. The rigid rod may be positioned within the core after the core is unfolded and to enable easier removal of the sheet from the core. A dispenser may be provided that attaches to the core and/or the rod and enables an operator to unwrap the sheet from the core. The core may be sufficiently rigid to allow the dispenser to be coupled with the core and without positioning of a rigid rod within the core.

Abstract: This invention relates to a tape applicator or tape head formed from a combination of two separated apparatuses namely a detachable unit containing a front portion of the tape applicator and a stationary unit containing a rear portion of the applicator with snap-on engagement there between to obtain the interactive motion of a conventional tape applicator i.e. the present invention separates a conventional tape applicator into two separate portions which results in the ability to quickly change tapes and reduces safety hazards.

Abstract: The present invention provides a media guide system for guiding media unwound from a roll of a roll assembly along a direction of roll feeding in a printer. The guide system includes a guide base including a datum edge guide surface and a plurality of edge guide receivers. The datum edge guide surface is aligned along a direction of roll feeding. The plurality of edge guide receivers is formed in the guide base and extends along the direction of roll feeding. When the roll assembly is loaded into the guide base by engaging an edge guide of the roll assembly into at least one of the plurality of edge guide receivers, the datum edge guide surface of the guide base and the edge guide of the roll assembly serve as edge guides to guide the roll through the printer during a printing operation.

A near end sensor for detecting the remaining amount of the paper rolls is slidably positioned in a linear groove formed in one of the side plates. The linear groove having a longitudinal axis that passes through a midpoint of a straight line connecting a rotation center of a first paper roll bearing-supported in the first notches and a rotation center of a second paper roll bearing-supported in the second notches. When first and second paper rolls of different sizes are used, if both paper rolls are wound on paper tubes of the same size, the position of the near end sensor need not be changed, which is a great convenience for the user.

Abstract: A spindle for mounting a roll of wiping material thereon. The spindle has a longitudinal extension and direction and includes a body and at least three elongated spring elements extending along the longitudinal direction. The body has a centre section adapted to hold the roll, and each elongated spring element has a first end and a second end. The spindle is adapted to hold the roll and to be rotated about an essentially horizontal axis. The at least three elongated spring elements are arranged for stabilizing the roll on the centre section. The first end and the second end of each spring element are fixedly attached to the body such that the spring elements are fixedly positioned in the longitudinal direction on the body. A holder for a roll of wiping material comprising such a spindle is also presented.

Abstract: A method and apparatus are provided, for clamping a fiber placement tool to a fiber placement machine, along a rotational axis of the fiber placement machine, through use of a clamping apparatus having a plurality of drive lugs extending axially from the machine, and having three intersecting faying surfaces thereof which mate simultaneously in substantially intimate contact with three corresponding intersecting faying surfaces of a plurality of drive lug receptacles extending axially from the tool. Pairs of movable tines, disposed on opposite sides of each drive lug, pull the drive lugs into intimate contact with the drive lug receptacles. Master fixtures are used for setting the drive lugs and lug receptacles with respect to corresponding ones of the other, to achieve a desired intimate fit between faying surfaces thereof.

Abstract: The insert for roll paper products is pliable, preferably scent-impregnated, foam material that can be wrapped around a dispensing bar of a rolled paper dispenser, and resiliently grips the bar while adding friction to the total dispensing system. The dispensing bar and insert combination is then slid through the hollow core of a rolled paper product. The sleeve has dentate ends that extend beyond the ends of the paper roll. When the product core is rotated while paper is being dispensed, the passage of air through the dentate ends helps to dispense and distribute the scent through the environment proximate the paper dispenser. Moreover, the resilient foam insert provides friction between the paper roll and the foam structure, while also adding friction between the foam structure and the dispensing bar. This feature acts as a brake to prevent excess rollout of the rolled product when being dispensed.

Abstract: A stand for delivering coiled cable has first and second side elements, each of which has a wide flat base portion and a tall central column. First and second bottom braces are configured to connect the first and second side elements near the flat base portions. A third handle brace is configured to connect the first and second side elements near the tall central columns. A shaft is configured to be positioned between the first and second side elements, with the shaft configured to receive a cable spool, such that when the spool is positioned on the shaft between the first and second sides, cable from the spool may be allowed to be removed from the spool by spinning the spool on the shaft. The cable can not exit the spool and fall between the outside of the spool and the insides of the first and second side elements.

The toilet paper holder includes a pair of brackets each having a well extending therein. A cylinder has a first end and a second end and includes a first portion slidably extendable into a second portion. The first end is biased away from the second end. Each of a pair of nubs is attached to and extends outwardly away from one of the first and second ends. Each of the nubs is removably extended into one of the wells. A grip is provided and is configured to be removably positioned on one of the nubs. The grip may be used to provide leverage when the first end of the cylinder is urged toward the second end of the cylinder.

The dispensing device may be equipped with a suspending mount which when mounted at a dispensing position allows a single worker to more effectively install the conduit at the work site.

Abstract: A bathroom accessory adapted to connect with a bathroom tissue roll trunnion and support a container of wipes is disclosed. The bathroom accessory may include first and second brackets connected with and extending upward from a base. The first and second brackets can be adapted to connect with a tissue trunnion, and the base can be adapted to support a container of wipes thereon. Embodiments of the bathroom accessory can be configured structural features to provide a keyed engagement a wipe container to help ensure that a particular type of wipe container is used with the wipe container holder. Abstract: The present invention discloses a doffing apparatus of a high-speed high-stand fabric take-up device, which is applicable to a fabric take-up device having a higher fabric-storage volume. The doffing apparatus has safety pins and control handles in the side-frame casings of the fabric take-up device. Via shifting the control handles to change the relative positions of the safety pins, the safety pins can be inserted into the rod shafts of the fabric-winding rod so that the coupling between the drive wheels and the rod shafts can be enhanced and the safety of a fabric-winding operation can be promoted. Further, hydraulic cylinders are installed between the side-frame casings of the fabric take-up device and the support brackets sustaining the fabric-winding rod. Via the hydraulic cylinders providing a buffer force for the support brackets, the support brackets can rotate and descend slowly, and the safety of a fabric-doffing operation can be promoted.

Abstract: A toilet paper holder removal system includes a toilet paper holder configured for holding a toilet paper roll and dispensing toilet paper from the toilet paper roll. The toilet paper holder includes a pair of brackets each having a well extending therein. A cylinder has a first end and a second end and includes a first portion slidably extendable into a second portion. The first end is biased away from the second end. Each of a pair of nubs is attached to and extends outwardly away from one of the first and second ends. Each of the nubs is removably extended into one of the wells. A pair of grips is provided and each is configured to be removably positioned on one of the nubs. The grips may be used to provide leverage when the first end of the cylinder is urged toward the second end of the cylinder.

Abstract: A vehicle for transporting, rolling and unrolling ground covers broadly includes an elongate framework, a spindle supported by the framework to mount one or more rolls of material, one or more ground wheels, and split bearings located toward the ends of the framework for receiving and supporting the roll-carrying spindles. The split bearings each include an upper part which is openable to enable the split bearing to receive and secure the end of the spindle. Preferably, the framework includes one or more parts, such as support members, which are operable to pivot about the framework so that the angle of the axis of the spindle is adjustable.
