Abstract: A garbage can holder including a tubular member which is embedded in the ground and has a garbage can holder mechanism vertically movably mounted therein between a lowered position and a raised position. When the garbage can holder mechanism is in its lowered position, the garbage can holder of this invention is not visible. When it is necessary to place garbage cans at curbside or the like, the garbage can holder mechanism is raised from its lower position to its upper position and the garbage cans are attached thereto and supported thereby.

Abstract: A turf anchor typically includes an upright and three or four spikes which are insertable into the ground to mount the upright above ground with substantial stability. The turf anchor may be pressed by foot or hammered to force the spikes into the ground and may be used for securing a mailbox or various other outdoor items.

Abstract: A beverage support apparatus has first elongate body having a first penetrator at a lower end capable of piercing the ground in a generally vertical manner. A first beverage support is provided on a raised end of the first elongate body. A handle may be disposed on the elongate body and/or be a single beverage support structure. A second elongate body may be spaced from, and arranged in parallel to, said first elongate body and may be structured similar to the first elongate body. A high-volume beverage container retaining member is slidably coupled between the first elongate body and second elongate body for vertical movement therealong, said beverage container retaining member having a retaining portion adapted to fit over a top of a beverage container and rest against an outer surface of the beverage container. The first or second elongate bodies may independently act as beverage holders.

Abstract: The present invention is a portable stand that generally comprises of an upper telescopic pipe, a lower telescopic pipe that is movably inserted into the upper telescopic pipe to form a longitudinal shaft, a plurality of expandable legs at the bottom of the longitudinal shaft with a leaf spring mechanism, a round plate holder, a bottle holder, a v-shaped plate holder, a flower vase, umbrella stand, a box for magnetic compass or LED light, a knickknack pouch and a beverage holder. The longitudinal shaft of the portable stand is adjusted for a desired height. A controller knob is slid up and down, to fold and expand the expandable legs at the bottom of the longitudinal shaft to a desired angle. Various attachments are attached onto the longitudinal shaft depending on the need.

Abstract: Performance of at least four (4) useful functions are provided for by a multiple purpose golf tool. The first useful function being release of compression of turf associated with an impact from a golf ball. The remaining useful functions include supporting at least the grip of the club about the ground, applying a rotational pressure to a slot of a slotted head screw or applying a rotational pressure to a phillips slot of a phillips slotted head screw or club face groove cleaning or golf shoe spike cleaning or sharpening of a pencil or removal of a bottle cap from a bottle or lifting a beverage can pull tab relative to the beverage can or install and removal of a golf shoe spike relative to a golf shoe. The multiple purpose golf tool may be stored on a shaft of a putter directly below a grip of the putter.

Abstract: A device and method for securing a bow while hunting is provided. The device generally includes a base, a support arm rotatably mounted to the base, a connecting arm connected to the support arm, and a retaining arm rotatably connected to the connecting arm and mounted for rotation between an open position and a closed position to secure the limb of the bow. The support arm acts as a lever arm wherein the weight of the bow causes the connecting arm to move and the retaining arm to rotate from an open position to a closed position to secure the limb of the bow.

Abstract: A rotatable base apparatus for use with a hose reel enclosure. The base comprises an upper and a lower portion. A bearing is located in between the upper and lower portions and allows the portions to rotate with respect to each other. The bearing can comprise balls mounted in sockets in the lower base portion which ride in a track in the upper base portion. Clips are provided on the upper base portion to secure the hose reel enclosure thereto. This arrangement allows the user to remove the hose from the reel in any direction without the danger of the hose reel enclosure tipping over. The hose reel enclosure will rotate to the direction in which the hose is being removed. It also allows the hose reel enclosure to rotate to the direction that the hose is being wound onto the reel. This prevents the hose from being unevenly wound onto the reel, i.e. piling up on one side of the reel.

Abstract: An automatic, universal, multi-purpose ground stand to securely affix an umbrella, or any like device, into any malleable surface such as sand, grass, gravel or dirt. The device is intended to accommodate any size or shape of commercially available beach or sun umbrellas. This device also contemplates the securement of other devices such as fishing poles. The device is comprised, primarily, of a main tube with a helical auger screw bit and a DC electric motor to turn the screw. A user of said device would extend the helical auger screw bit, engage the DC electric motor, and allow the action of the DC electric motor to secure the helical auger screw into a malleable surface.

Abstract: A floating decoy adapter for land use includes an attachment plate, a vertical support plate and a base section. The attachment plate extends substantially perpendicular from one end of the vertical support and the base section extends substantially perpendicular from the other end of the vertical support. The attachment plate includes a retention slot. The retention slot is sized to receive a projection extending along a length of a floating decoy. The base section preferably includes a portion having the substantial appearance of two webbed feet. At least one spike is inserted through the base section and into the ground to retain the floating decoy in an upright position. The floating decoy adapter is preferably fabricated of a flexible material, such that when the wind blows, the floating decoy will pivot relative to a support surface. However, the floating decoy adapter may also be fabricated from an inflexible material.

Abstract: An improved bow holder is comprised of a bow cradle, at least one extension member and a base. The preferred bow cradle is comprised of a body, a clamp bed and a pair of L-shaped studs. The clamp bed is pivotally attached to the body. The clamp bed releasably locks to the body such that a fixed angle between the clamp bed and the body may be set. The studs are attached to the clamp bed such that the limb of a bow may be releasably clamped between the studs and the clamp bed. The base is comprised of a stem for insertion into a ground surface and a pair of pedals for applying ground insertion force to the stem. The bow cradle is attached to the base, or if a higher bow holding position is desired, an extension member.

Abstract: A stake system wherein a stake has two hooks extending from the body of the stake for securing items when the stake is driven into the ground. A complimentary impact device is adapted to receive the stake within a sleeve of the impact device for hammering the stake into the ground. A slot and notch within the sleeve can be used to engage one of the hooks for extracting the stake from the ground.

Abstract: Storage of a golf tool on a putter is disclosed where the golf tool may be easily placed in a storage state and easily removed from the storage state for use to perform a useful function associated with the play of the game of golf. The golf tool is stored on the shaft of a putter directly below the grip of the putter and on a rearward extent generally in a blind spot to the golfer while utilizing the putter to strike a golf ball. The attachment of the golf tool prevents axial rotation about the shaft of the putter from the blind spot into an orientation which would distract the golfer during putting. The golf tool will have at least structures to permit repair of divots on the green with additional structures to perform other functions available on the golf tool.

Abstract: A multi-purpose beach anchor provides a sturdy base for at least one of a small, medium or large sized beach umbrella as well as for an optional table and an optional tubular holder for a fishing rod. The rigidity of the anchor is secured by an integral hand operable slide hammer mechanism for driving the spike element into the sand for an optimal distance straight down. This slide hammer is used by sliding up and down over a tubular support member atop the spike, wherein the spike has an integral strike collar. A few short strokes of the weighted slide hammer element drives the spike into the sand or other terrain. A hand screw is then used to lock the hammer weight to the tubular support and the spike rigidly. An umbrella shaft can then be directly slid over the support tube and locked in place.

Abstract: A two piece plastic support is provided for a plastic mailbox, which upon installation surrounds a support post mounted in the ground. The two pieces are substantially reverse images of one another with confronting post receiving channels on their inward sides. The channels are dimensioned to accommodate warped or slightly over size posts. Corresponding sides of the channels have protuberances, which stabilize the post within the channel. Abutting pockets in the inner and outer walls of each of the pieces aligned openings for fasteners.

Abstract: A beach umbrella stand is provided including a foot operated drive assembly. A pole of a beach umbrella stand has a hollow interior portion housing the foot operated drive assembly. The foot operated drive assembly includes a ratchet assembly operated by a foot pedal. The ratchet assembly further includes a an auger mounted at least partially within the pole, for driving into the sand. The ratchet assembly is positioned for operation of a pedal by a user's foot.

Abstract: A garden item hanger assembly. The assembly has an upright with a first and second portion. The first end of the first portion and the second end of the second portion can be connected can together by using a medial connection portion which provides a flush surface. The assembly also has a ground engaging stake with a self centering socket and a plurality of set screws to set the upright. The ground engaging stake utilizes a plurality of moment resisting surfaces to maintain an upright position against both a first and second moment about the ground engaging stake applied by the item load.

Abstract: The waste container holding system comprises: a magnetic grid including at least two, spaced, elongate magnetizable metal bar units fixed to or in a ground surface, each elongate magnetizable metal bar unit comprising at least one elongate metal bar having a length of at least two feet and at least two magnets positioned adjacent to each elongate metal bar in each elongate magnetizable metal bar unit and spaced along the length of each elongate metal bar. The elongate metal bar units are spaced from each other when mounted in one of the ground, asphalt or concrete with a desired spacing between the at least two elongate metal bar units. The system also includes a generally flat magnetizable plate fixed at or to a bottom surface of at least one waste container or in the bottom of the container closely adjacent to the bottom surface whereby the at least one waste container is held to the magnetic grid against ambient wind by the magnetic force between the plate and the magnetic grid.

Abstract: A tubular staff has sections which can be collapsed one into the other down to a very small size. The sections are held together by peripheral clamps snap-tightened by a small lever. There is a ground spike at the bottom of the staff which itself can be removed and stowed within the staff. A firearm cradle can be on top and one end of a small elbowed rod goes either into the top of the staff or into the cradle, if one's there. The rod's other end attaches to a hole in a hunting bow to support it until game arrives. Instead of the elbowed rod, an accessory supporting structure can likewise be set into the staff or cradle. The linkage of the accessory support is a bendable length of ball and socket joints available from certain industrial sources so that the camera angle or telescope can be properly manipulated.

Abstract: The present invention includes a decoy stake designed to support and impart motion to an animal decoy. The stake is preferably removably attached to a decoy and is controlled directly by a human observer through a simple mechanism such as a string, wire, or filament coupled to a rotatable mechanism contained within the stake. Preferably, the rotation mechanism is biased so that it returns to a determined rotational position when no force is applied by the operator. The invention further provides a method of attracting an animal using a manually rotatable decoy stake. The method includes attaching a decoy to the rotatable stake, placing the stake and attached decoy in a location where it is likely to be observed by the animal, and manually rotating the stake from a concealed location to impart rotational movement to the decoy.

Abstract: An unsupported span device for portable structures and portable signage is provided comprising a plurality of vertical members that provide vertical load-bearing capability to the unsupported span; a plurality of horizontal members for providing a bearing surface for a load applied to the unsupported span; means for fixing the location of the plurality of horizontal members with respect to the plurality of vertical members; a tensioning member for inducing tension between the plurality of vertical members; means for fixing the location of the tensioning member with respect to plurality of vertical members; a plurality of tethers for laterally stabilizing the unsupported span; and a plurality of anchors for providing fixed points of attachment for the plurality of tethers. A method of forming an unsupported span is also provided.

Abstract: A ground stake for securing ropes or other fastening elements comprises a head portion with an elevated, textured surface and two or more extending flanges above a neck portion comprising recesses and a passageway. A plurality of elongated fins, at least a portion of which are tapered, depend from the base of the head portion and terminate in a truncated blunt end, providing a stronger tip while allowing clean penetration of the ground. One or more of the fins may comprise a stiffening rib to increase the rigidity of the fin. The elevated, textured surface provides increased impact resistance and prevents slippage of a pounding implement when the stake is being driven into the ground.

Abstract: The sprinkler anchor is designed to anchor and support a convention sprinkler head having a ground spike and includes an upper support plate and a hollow, tapered stake. The upper support plate and the stake form a continuous aperture for receiving the ground spike of the sprinkler head, with the stake being configured for engaging the ground. The sprinkler anchor may further include at least two linear channels, one or more hollow flanges, a plurality of anchoring studs, and a cap. The linear channels, hollow flanges, and anchoring studs are provided to further help the sprinkler anchor in receiving the sprinkler head and securing it into the ground. The cap is designed to cover the sprinkler anchor when not in use in order to prevent debris from entering.

Abstract: A sportsball rebounder includes a sports net having a frameless perimeter, opposite upper corners, and a bottom, a pair of adjustable spring mechanisms coupled to the upper corners and providing the upper corners in tension in an upward vertical direction and a outward horizontal direction, the adjustable spring mechanisms disposed rearward of the sports net and including lower ends adjacent the ground that are freely pivotal relative to the ground, the lower ends forming vertices of angles defined by the adjustable spring mechanisms and the ground, and the angles freely changeable with free pivotal movement of the lower ends of the adjustable spring mechanisms; wherein the tension in the sports net is adjustable with the adjustable spring mechanisms while the sports net is under tension and the sports net is vertically oriented upon adjustment of the tension in the sports net with the adjustable spring mechanism.

Abstract: A pipe run is secured from theft by an antitheft apparatus providing a pair of straight tubes, coaxially engaged with an inner one of the tubes slidingly engaged within an outer one of the tubes. Each of the tubes provides a closure plate at one end with one or more apertures in it. A cover on an upper end of the inner tube is able to engage the pipe run to prevent it from being disassembled or pulled from its installation. To service the pipe run, the cover may be opened and the inner pipe lowered into the outer pipe. The tubes are secured to a mooring. Two of the apparatuses may be secured in spaced apart locations on the pipe run to secure components of the pipe run that are between the apparatuses.

The anchoring device has a base plate with rods extending from a first surface so as to prevent vertical or horizontal shifting. A sleeve receives the elongated body. The sleeve is attached to the base plate so that the sleeve may pivot to accept a wide variety of elongated body engagement angles.

Abstract: A modular anchoring system for pole-supported devices uses a combination of devices for anchoring a pole to a desirable surface. The devices include a common base that is installed on the pole end. The common base may then be anchored to a structural member with opposing sides using a clamp that attaches to the common base, or may be anchored to the ground using a stake and ground base that quickly attaches to the common base. The devices are easily separated when anchoring of the pole is no longer desired.

Abstract: A spade or stake for hardware free mounting to a telecommunications data distribution terminal pedestal is disclosed. The spade may include one or more connectors of various types for engaging the pedestal to thereby couple the spade to the pedestal without hardware, and thus without tools. The pedestal may also include one or more connectors for mating with corresponding connectors on the stake.

Abstract: A compression anchor for holding a support member, such as a cylindrical handrail, is disclosed. The anchor includes a body having a cavity and a wedge portion that connects to the body using thick threads, such as 2-4 ACME 2-G threads. The wedge is substantially cylindrical and encircles a support member received in the cavity. A compression ring is in contact with the body and the wedge portion. As the wedge portion turns relative to the body using the threads, the compression ring expands and contracts to loosen or tighten the connection between the received support member and the anchor. The wedge portion and the body are corrosion resistant.

Abstract: A modular signpost including a first section, a second section that mounts onto the first section, and a third section that mounts onto the second section. The first section includes a ground mounting structure, a base tube and a guide tube. The second section includes a bracket for holding a flyer box. The second section includes a body tube that is able to slide over the guide tube on the first section. The third section is slide fit into the second section.

Abstract: A reusable fence post for supporting roll-up safety fencing comprising an elongated hollow post having an outside V-angle disposed along a first exterior side of the hollow post; a stake extending downward from a built-in sliding hammer for installing the reusable fence post in the ground without tools; and an elongated jaw member having an inside V-angle hinged at the lower end of the hollow post. The elongated jaw member swings away from the hollow post to receive the plastic fencing and swings toward the hollow post to be latched to the hollow post and held between inside and outside V-angle clamping surfaces, thereby securely clamping the safety fencing to prevent it from slipping either lengthwise or across the width of the fencing. In an alternate embodiment, the outside V-angle serves as the fence post; and the stake, having a cap at its upper end, slides within pipe sections attached to the post.

Abstract: A decorative lawn ornament for supporting an object, such as a rain gauge, comprises an assembly featuring a decorative member, a support device and a support mechanism. The decorative member comprises a metal plate shaped to have visual appeal having a hole therein for mounting on the support device. The support device features a receiving portion for supporting the object, a mounting portion for detachably engaging the plate and a reinforcing portion for supporting said receiving portion on said mounting portion. The mounting portion features a groove in the top surface of a protruding member which extends from one side of the plate to the other through the hole. To mount the plate on the support device, the top edge of the hole in the plate fits within the groove and the bottom edge of the hole slides over the bottom surface of the protruding member and snaps into place.

Abstract: An umbrella pole assembly for inserting and holding an attached beach umbrella in the ground includes: (a) an auger assembly on a first, lower, auger end of the pole assembly; (b) a cylindrical main pole extending from the auger assembly; and (c) a drill attachment member at an opposite, upper, drill bit end of the pole assembly, the drill attachment member being detachably attachable to a rotatable chuck of a separate, portable, handheld tool for rotating the auger assembly; wherein the pole assembly does not include a motor. The auger assembly includes a lower, cutting section attached to an upper, anchoring section, which is attached to the main pole.

The mounting structure includes a bracket and a collar securely engaging existing in-ground sleeves traditionally found around pool environments and supporting sports equipment for use in a pool. The bracket is configured such that the sports pole is prohibited from rotating in the in-ground sleeve and the combination of the bracket and collar is capable of use with in-ground sleeves of varying size and shape.

Abstract: A refuse container retainer includes an elongated member, defining an open chamber, that is screwed in to the ground. A collar attached atop the elongated member has a central opening extending the chamber, a base plate adjacent a top portion of the elongated member, and opposed flanges positioned above the base plate. A telescoping upright member seats in the chamber and extends through the collar. The base plate contacts the ground halting embedding of the elongated member and the cover plate conceals it and the upright member to which it is attached. Lifting the cover plate also lifts the upright member to receive a refuse container turned upside down. The refuse container rests on the ground over the cover plate and upright member.

Abstract: A hammer hanger is useful for hanging objects off the ground. The hammer hanger includes a Slide hammer tube that impacts a stake to insert the stake into and remove it from the ground. The slide hammer comprises a slide hammer tube that is slidingly captured on the stake. A spade of the stake prevents the hammer hanger from tipping in soft or wet soil. One or more arms are pivotally held on the slide hammer tube for folding and unfolding. Objects are hangable on the unfolded arms. The arms may have hooks that are specially constructed to hang archery bows. The slide hammer may be one or more slide hammer tubes that are releasably lockable to each other for assembling and disassembling the tubes. A stop on the stake coats with the slide hammer tube to prevent the slide hammer tube from rotating on the stake.

Abstract: A post stand includes a base plate having generally aligned first and second side supports extending upwardly therefrom. A plurality of anchors extend downwardly from the base plate. The post stand is installed in a hardened concrete slab or masonry by creating marks corresponding to the desired location of the anchors, drilling holes into the hardened concrete slab or masonry, partially filling the holes with an epoxy or quick setting cement mixture, and inserting the anchors of the post stand into the holes.

Abstract: A mailbox support structure device, an associated kit and method of using same are disclosed. The mailbox support structure device includes the interconnected components of a telescoping vertical post member, a telescoping horizontal post member and a pair of locking pins. The mailbox support structure device may be lengthened horizontally and vertically to overcome snow piling up at or near the device. The kit includes the unassembled components of the device. The method of using same includes the steps of adjoining, affixing, boring, cutting, digging, drilling, enlarging, expanding, inserting, locking, obtaining, piercing, placing, pouring, screwing, and slipping.

Abstract: A mailbox assembly having a mounting plate for securing the mailbox assembly into the ground. The mounting plate has three primary configurations: a flat configuration for use on a generally flat ground surface; a bent configuration for use on the edge of a hill; and an angled configuration for use on a hill. The mailbox assembly is adjustable horizontally, vertically, pivotally, and angularly.

Abstract: A bird decoy is disclosed comprising a body having an upper body member, a lower body member and a pair of wings. The wing members are releasably coupled to the decoy using a flexible mounting assembly that allows the wings to move independently with, and in response to, the wind. The decoy is imprinted with the feather patterns and colorings of a selected species and sex of bird. A stand is removably coupled to the decoy so that the body may move slightly in response to the wind. Accordingly, the decoy mimics the realistic appearance and movement of a select species and sex of bird while remaining both durable and collapsible for easy transport and storage.

Abstract: A mounting device for supplying both high and low voltage services in an outdoor setting. One end of the mounting device is adapted to be anchored securely in the ground. A post extending from the ground includes a first electrical box for housing high voltage electrical connections and devices and a second electrical box for housing low voltage connections and devices. If desired by the installer, the mounting device can be configured to provide a single electrical box, which can include either high or low voltage. The top of the mounting device is adapted to accept a light fixture. The ground-anchored portion of the mounting device includes a large entryway to allow a large passageway for lead in of electrical cables. Integral projections extending from the mounting device enable secure anchoring to the ground.

Abstract: An adjustable post support (10) for use in supporting a post vertically above the ground. The support may include a lower spike portion (12) and an upper bracket portion (14). The lower spike portion may include an upper end. The bracket portion may include a curved dome (22) and an upstanding sleeve (32) extending upwardly therefrom. The curved dome may nest with the upper end of the spike to provide a ball and socket type connection between the lower spike portion and the upper bracket portion. A fastening device (52, 54) may be used for tightening the upper bracket and lower spike portion together and a support table (60) may be located inside the sleeve.
