The breakaway plate is formed with a circumferential groove, and an o-ring is placed in the groove. A tooth ring having a slight gap is positioned over the o-ring. As a retaining ring is placed over the o-ring and tooth ring and fastened to the mounting bracket, the tooth ring compresses, which causes the o-ring to compress and engage the tooth ring at a breakaway force of the object. When an applied force that is greater than the breakaway force is applied to the object, the o-ring pops out to separate the object and platform. The o-ring durometer is chosen according to the magnitude of breakaway force that is desired by the user.

The tracking band may be disposed within an annular recess of a rotating shaft of a heliostat. The tracking band may rotate with the rotating shaft. The shaft may be coupled with a minor such that the minor and rotating shaft rotate concurrently. As the tracking band rotates with the rotating shaft, the tracking band may pass by an encoder head, which may read the magnetic tape and relay information regarding the angular position of the mirror from the magnetic tape to a control system. The tracking band may thus provide altitude and azimuth position information for the mirror to a control system.

The elongated body is passed through the locking head until the magnetic holding device is tightened over the hand tool. Once in place the magnetic holding device holds the hand tool in a convenient place near where the hand tool is being used by connecting the magnet to any metal object. In this way the magnetic holding device provides the advantage of reducing the potential for lost or misplaced hand tools by allowing for easy organization and placement of hand tools during use.

The present invention uses a magnet and a platform to provide a convenient place to rest a wet paint brush. The wet paint brush is positioned on the platform in such a way that the wet paint brush drips into the opened paint can. The wet paint brush is held in place on the platform with the magnet. The paint rim magnetic brush holder uses a paint pourer spout to easily pour the paint in the opened paint can into the another paint can.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an RFID tag holder, which comprises an RFID tag carrier used to carry an RFID tag, and a base having a circular surface, a holding portion and at least one magnetic component disposed therein. The shape of the circular surface matches that of the disposing hole, the magnetic component is used to make the disposing hole magnetically attachable to combine the base with the disposing hole, and two clip arms of a holding unit grip the holding portion and hold the RFID tag carrier after passing through two through holes of a metal substrate. The RFID tag holder has the following advantages: fast installation, low cost and reusability; is suitable for disposing holes with any depth and size; reduced interference and improved reading effect; no extra processing cost; dust-proof, water-proof and oil-resistant; and better composability, extensibility and flexibility.

To relocate or remove, a user applies enough force to break the magnetic bond and repositions to a new location. Other embodiments include wall and light sconce, vase, curio cabinet, flat shelf, etc. that are easily placed and removed as described above. Rare earth magnets are used to ensure a positive grip.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for hanging textiles such as quilts having a rod pocket attached to the back surface thereof are described. In one embodiment, the hanger includes a center tube, two rods which adjustably fit into the center tube, a permanent magnet disposed inside the center tube at its center, and a bracket effective for mounting on a wall or other surface fabricated from magnetic material, for magnetically holding the center tube. In this embodiment of the invention, the hanging apparatus is hidden from view, is self leveling and requires only one mounting location.

Abstract: An advertising display for use above the roof of a vehicle comprises a rigid elongated and enclosed advertising member, which is of substantially triangular cross section and which can be reversibly mounted on a metallic roof with the use of magnets affixed within receptacles in the base of the display.
