Abstract: A plant hanger includes several generally C-shaped arms having apertures passing therethrough at opposite ends of each arm. The plant hanger also includes a first plurality of beads each of which has an aperture passing therethrough. The arms and the beads are secured together by a ring which passes both: 1. through one of the apertures which pass through each of the arms; and 2. through the apertures which pass through each of the beads. Lastly, the plant hanger includes at least a pair of flexible belts. Each of the belts passes through more than half of the apertures which pass through each of the arms and are located at ends of the arms furthest from the apertures through which the ring passes. Moreover, both belts pass coincidently through apertures which pass through at least two (2) of the arms, which, preferably, are located on opposite sides of the plant hanger.

Abstract: An article for mounting from or against the ceiling is removably coupled to a base fixedly secured to the ceiling, by a person standing on the floor, supporting the article on an elongated rod, and thrusting the article against the base to couple the article and the secured base. The article is removed by inserting the rod into the article, exerting a force on the rod to uncouple the article from the base, and supporting the article on the rod as the article is lowered. The article is thus positioned on or hung from the ceiling, without being manually contacted by the person. Abstract: An article holder includes a holding member, and hooking members; the holding member has several gaps, and a connecting protrusion in each of the gaps; each of the connecting protrusions has a downwards-projecting edge at an outward end; each hooking member has a straight rod portion, which has a cavity, and a transverse hole under and in communication with the cavity; the hooking members are hooked over an object while the holding member is hung on the hooking members with the lower ends of the straight rod portions being held in the gaps, the connecting protrusions being received in the cavities, and the downwards-projecting edges being fitted in the transverse holes; the holding member can be angularly displaced after it is linearly displaced to such a position that the downwards-projecting edges are outside the transverse holes; thus, the holding member can be hung in a vertical position when not in use.

Abstract: A lighting apparatus for installation through a hole in a ceiling is disclosed. The lighting apparatus has a housing, a frame designed to rest on the upper surface of the ceiling and at least one retention cable secured to the frame that passes through the opening in the frame and the hole in the ceiling to temporarily retain the frame against the upper surface of the ceiling while sliding the lamp housing through the ceiling and the opening in the frame. A method for installing a lighting fixture is also disclosed.

Abstract: A tissue paper supporting assembly includes a panel that has a rear edge, a forward edge and a pair of lateral side edges. Each of pair of legs has a lower end that is attached to and extends upwardly from the rear edge. The legs are spaced from each other such that each of the legs is positioned adjacent to one of the side edges. The legs are each positioned in a plane orientated substantially perpendicular to a plane of the panel. A bracket is attached to the legs and extends over the panel such that a plane of the bracket is orientated substantially parallel to the plain of the panel. A coupler is attached to an upper end of the legs for selectively coupling the legs to a vertical surface. A tissue holding box may be removably positioned on the panel and held against the legs by the bracket.

Abstract: The suspended bird-feed catcher of the present invention includes a pan suitable for receiving and holding bird feed that falls out of a bird feeder and prevents the bird feed from falling to the ground. The pan is suspended from the same apparatus from which the bird feeder is suspended so the pan can be easily removed without disrupting the bird feeder.

Abstract: In accordance with the present invention there is provided a hanger adapted for retaining and hanging objects, the hanger including a ring, at least two upper flexible members having first and second ends, wherein each member is received through an aperture of the ring, the flexible members defining an upper portion of the hanger. A lower hanger portion, the lower hanger portion including of at least two lower flexible members having first and second ends, wherein each of the two members are fixedly attached to each other at a mid point, the first and second ends including an adjustment device configured to receive the second ends of the upper flexible members; and a flexible retaining ring, the flexible retaining ring configured to receive the first and second ends of the lower flexible members, wherein the retaining ring is configured to retain the ends of the lower flexible members at a distance from one another and to securely retain an object such as a potted plant in the lower assembly.

A device for temporary attachment to the machine or machine adjacent surface, and a flexible cable device are provided for connecting the fastening member receiving and retaining device to the for temporary attachment. The flexible cable device is adapted to be manually positioned and shaped and to retain its shape and position in a self-sustaining manner while holding the fastening member receiving and retaining device beneath the machine tool.

A suspension system for the container includes a plurality of brackets, each forming an aperture with adjoining side walls of the container or inner shell, flexible lines and a connecting element including a universal joint for suspending the apparatus from a support. The lower end of each line has a keeper for preventing withdrawal of the line from the bracket. The lines at their upper ends are secured to a wire loop having a hook superposed over a ball for forming a universal connection with the support.

The suspending device includes a wall receiving portion for receiving and releasably retaining a portion of the upper edge of the wall of the plant container, and a structure-securing portion for allowing the device and the plant container to be secured to a structure. The wall receiving portion may include a shoulder for abutting at least a portion of the peripheral rim. The wall receiving portion may also include a resilient member for maintaining said portion of the peripheral rim in abutting engagement with the shoulder such that the container is retained thereby; wherein, in use, the shoulder is capable of holding the full weight of the container to thereby suspend the container.

The holder is designed to fit into the cup holder in an automotive car console and accommodates one beverage container. The tray assembly is designed so that a plurality of the tray assemblies can be stacked together vertically. Abstract: The present invention provides a support assembly for a lighting fixture that allows for the adjustment and positioning of a lamp about both a horizontal and a vertical axis using only one locking mechanism. The support assembly includes a first support member that is pivotably attached to a second support member. The support assembly also includes a cylindrical sleeve to which the second support member is adjustably engaged. Both support members include at least one leg extending therefrom. The locking mechanism includes a pivoting brake shoe that can engage the cylindrical sleeve so as to secure the lamp into position about a vertical axis. Abstract: A plumber's caddy is disclosed which provides a holder for plumbing tools, fittings and supplies. An arm permits the caddy to be secured to a member such as a ceiling joist. The arm is jointed in one or more places such that the holder can move relative to the fastener. A swivel joint is disclosed which permits rotation and tilting of the holder relative to the fastener. Hangers are provided for hanging tools from the holder.

Abstract: A combination trolley and bag to receive and hold leaves and debris cleaned from a rain gutter (eavestrough). The trolley includes a pair of rolling sheaves that ride on the outside edge of the gutter to transport leaves and debris from the initial point to the next section to be cleaned or until the bag is full. Safety flaps attached to the same shaft as sheaves work as a stopper to keep the device in place in case the sheaves slide off the gutter edge. The safety flaps spin freely to by pass any obstacle in the gutter such as brackets, holding nails, or fastening devices which secure the gutter to the roof. Two support arms, which hold and secure the bag, hinge to an up position for flat and easy storage. When lifting one of the support arms and holding handle at the bottom of the bag, emptying becomes easy. Bag size is determinate by weight of leaves and debris, so when full, can be easily lifted off the gutter edge, brought down and emptied.

The suspension assembly comprises a plurality of stringers the lower ends of which are attached to the rim of the container. The upper end of the stringers are joined together in a rim shaped hub to which is removably connected a hook so that the hook and stringer assembly are rotatable relative to each other.

The feed unit receives material which can selectively be fed from rolls of receiving material rotatably placed in drawers in the feed unit. A channel is formed on a panelling part of the feed unit at a working height for a standing operator. It is possible to place a roll of receiving material provided with a hollow core in the channel in order to introduce a spindle into the roll core. After the fitting of the spindle into the core, the operator can, without moving his position, place the roll of receiving material in an open drawer on bearing blocks disposed therein.

The elongated object (24) may be placed on the apparatus by placing the object's second end (28) on the slidable support member (18) when the slidable support member (18) is adjacent the track's first end (14).

At least one of the flexible supports includes a fastener that is disposed intermediate to the first end and the second end. The fastener includes a slideable sleeve. The slideable sleeve can be displaced along the longitudinal axis of the flexible support to expose a coupling which can then be separated. Once the coupling is separated the flexible support also separates into two halves and the container can be readily removed from or inserted into the apparatus through the opening provided by the separated flexible support.

Abstract: This combination mobile sculpture and plant holder has two interlocking links. One link is suspended from the ceiling and the other link has a plant holder attached to it. Each link has an outer and an inner perimeter having a geometric shape. Corresponding slots on each of the links allow the links to be locked together. One of the links has a split to allow the links to be interlocked. The split extends from one of the slots to the opposite perimeter. The split makes several curves to form a mortise and a tenon to lock the two sides of the split together. The cooperating slot on the other link locks the split together when the links are locked together. An alternative to the mortise and tenon is a pair of inserts wedged between the first link and the slot on the inner perimeter of the second link.

When a user wishes to replace or remove a tape from the storage carousel, the latching mechanism may be released by pushing a single button which lowers the storage carousel from the housing. The carousel is rotatably mounted by a piston rod which is slidably received with a hollow sleeve in the interior of the housing. Air vent apertures are formed in the hollow sleeve for lowering the carousel at a gradual rate of descent and for allowing the carousel to be rapidly moved to a retracted position.

Abstract: A device for supporting a plate and a beverage container with one hand includes a body of material having a surface with which to support a plate, the body of material being dimensioned and arranged to enable a user to hold the body of material in one hand with the surface in an upwardly facing position. The body of material includes structure for inhibiting lateral movement of the plate while the body of material is so held with the plate on the surface, together with structure for supporting a beverage container next to the plate. The device inhibits lateral movement of the plate by being dimensioned and arranged to cradle the plate, one embodiment taking the form of a shallow, bottomless dish having a peripheral receptacle for the beverage container.

Abstract: A tissue box holder to be frictionally mounted on the sun visor of a vehicle to hold a box having a plurality of tissues therein. The tissue box holder comprises a bracket having a generally U-shaped configuration. The bracket comprises visor engagement means for releasably securing the device to the sun visor by placing the visor engagement means about the rear edge of the sun visor, tissue box engagement means for releasably securing the box of tissues to the sun visor, dispensing means for dispensing the plurality of tissues from the box of tissues and cushioning means for cushioning the bracket. In the preferred embodiment, the visor engagement means has a notched opening to permit the user to use a conventional mirror which is secured to the visor.
