Pivoted Link Patents (Class 248/462)
  • Patent number: 4544120
Abstract: A frame for supporting a light modifying sheet such as a flag, scrim, cucoloris, and the like, comprises a main rod having hinges at opposite ends thereof. A pair of sheet supporting rods are connected to the hinges for rotation by about 270.degree., in a common plane, about the main rod. The sheet supporting rods can thus be rotated from a storage position parallel to the main rod to an erected position substantially parallel to each other and perpendicular to the main rod. A pair of spaced clips are connected to each sheet supporting rod for releasably clipping a light modifying sheet between the erected sheet support rods. A further hinge is connected at an intermediate location on the main rod and at a spaced location from the exact center of the main rod. A frame supporting rod is connected to the additional hinge and pivotable about an axis which lies in the plane of rotation of the sheet supporting rods, with respect to the main rod.

  • Patent number: 4544123
Abstract: A foldable easel for supporting sheet material includes three sheet members pivoted end to end for selective movement between a folded condition with the members in stacked parallel relation and an erected condition with the members in triangular relation. The free end of one of the two outer members has a lip for supporting the sheet material to rest against the upstanding sheet member in the erected condition. In one embodiment, a mating pin-and-hole connecting system is provided at the free ends of the outer members and at the ends of the intermediate member for permitting releasable connection of the members in either their erected or folded conditions. In another embodiment, one of the outer members has a perimetric border within which the other members are contained in the folded condition and which acts as the lip for engagement therewith of the other outer sheet member when in the erected condition.

  • Patent number: 4537380
Abstract: A needlework booklet holder comprising front and rear panels that are comparable to those of looseleaf notebook binders, and with the front and rear panels being associated with a magnetic material containing mounting panel, that overlies the inside surfacing of the rear panel, and a rigid brace plate in the form of an angle member having its sections at approximately 120 degrees, with the mounting panel and one of the brace plate sections being anchored to the holder rear panel along its inner edge, and the holder front and rear panels being hinged about a swing axis that is positioned adjacent the front panel inner edge, whereby when the front and rear panels of the holder are swung about the swing axis from an essentially flat, closed relation to open the holder for use, the holder rear panel and the mounting panel itself are disposed in easel forming, upwardly inclined relation relative to the front panel to receive and mount the pattern booklet in three possible positions for appropriately disposing the
