The second clamp arm has a first end portion and a second end portion. The first end portion of the second clamp arm is pivotably attached to the first end portion of the first clamp arm. The lever is pivotably attached to the first end portion of the first clamp arm. The latch has a first end portion and a second end portion. The first end portion of the latch is pivotably attached the second end portion of the second clamp arm. The second end portion of the latch is attached to the lever upon the clamp assembly in a closed position. The distance between the attachment of the latch to the second clamp arm to the attachment of the latch to the lever is adjustable in the attachment of the latch to the second clamp arm.

Abstract: Apparatus and methods for supporting conduits within a sanitary environment. Some supports are configured so as to avoid the formation of surfaces that might collect dust, debris, cleaning fluids, etc. when installed. In one embodiment, the support includes a pair of opposing support members that may be releasably and sealingly secured together. The upper support member may have a substantially uninterrupted convex surface that has a desired texture. The lower support member may be sized and shaped such that no portion thereof protrudes outwardly beyond the upper member to form any surfaces, pockets, etc. wherein dirt, debris, cleaning fluids, etc. may accumulate. A seal or grommet may be employed to establish a seal between the conduit and support to prevent the infiltration of dirt, debris, cleaning fluids, etc., between the conduit and the conduit support.

Abstract: The present invention provides an apparatus and a method for compensating for small variations in balance and alignment when supporting and rotating a massive cylindrical drum. The apparatus comprises a self-aligning flange having projections spaced 90° apart about the circumference, or rim, of the flange. The projections are inserted into sliding relationship with elongate slots within a fixed supporting frame so that the plane of the self-aligning flange is allowed to dynamically adjust to small oscillations or movements of the centerline of the rotating drum as it rotates.

Abstract: It is one advantage of the invention to provide an interlocking swivel connector for attachment to an existing system supporting a suspended load below a ceiling, beam or floor without the need to disassemble or disconnect any components of the system. The connector is easy to install and inexpensive to manufacture. The connector is removably or permanently attachable to a sway brace clamp or attachment to form a connector-clamp assembly. The assembly is capable of reliably supporting heavy loads against adverse sway and seismic disturbances. It is another advantage of the invention to provide a sway cable brace clamp or fitting for securely attaching to a bracing cable and for supporting a suspended load below a ceiling, beam or floor. The cable clamp is easy to install and inexpensive to manufacture. The cable clamp is capable of reliably supporting heavy loads against adverse sway and seismic disturbances.

  • Patent number: 7093808
Abstract: In a holder having a holder base and holding arms and used for holding a hose clamp in position, the holder base is so constructed as to be capable of being positioned on the outer periphery of an annular hose clamp and a pair of holding arms protrude from each of a pair of opposite lateral edges of the holder base. Each pair of holding arms are so shaped as to define a pair of opposed arcs extending along a circumference A having a diameter somewhat smaller than the outside diameter of a hose. Each holding arm has a sharp projection B1 formed on its inner peripheral surface at its distal end and directed substantially toward the center of the circumference A, or more inwardly than it. The clamp holder facilitates the preliminary holding of a hose clamp in position on a hose without damaging the hose, and without slipping off the hose or being displaced easily.
