Wheeled Patents (Class 248/98)
  • Patent number: 4222580
Abstract: A holder assembly for use with refuse bags is disclosed. The assembly includes a dish-shaped base member supporting ground engaging wheels. A frusto-conically shaped bag support removably and snugly engages the base member. The bag support is sized such that its larger end engages the base member. It is also sized such that the closed end of a refuse bag will engage the base member while the open end of the bag extends out of the support so that the bag may be folded over to engage the upper end portion of the support. The lower end portion of the support is also sized such that a full refuse bag will not engage the inner lower portion of the support. A handle is provided on the base member for moving it on the wheels. A simple pin and slot type lock is provided on the support and base member.

  • Patent number: 4179132
Abstract: A hand truck having in addition to the normal lower support platform and wheels, a structural loop for maintaining open trash bags in an erect and open condition on the platform. The loop is hingedly mounted to the hand truck about an axle for swinging upwardly and rearwardly so that it can be manually moved to a position where it does not obstruct the positioning of a conventional cylindrical trash container on the platform. The integral handle for the hand truck is formed to provide a stop for the rotation of the trash bag loop and the handle and the axle accommodate a clip-on tray which can be used to carry additional trash bags and small garden tools commonly used when collecting trash or pruning and trash bag clips.

  • Patent number: 4160557
Abstract: A portable, collapsible cart for carrying open top flexible refuse bags comprises a medial upright having upper and lower bag supports pivotally mounted respectively to the upper and lower ends thereof. The respective elements which pivotally join the bag supports to the upright are adapted to accommodate the tubular cylindrical elements from which the cart is formed. Pins fit through communicating openings in the aforesaid joinder elements and the respective bag supports to lock the latter elements in their operative positions. Handles located at the upper end of the upright aid in manipulating the cart on wheels which are rotatably attached to the lower bag support.

  • Patent number: 4138139
Abstract: A collapsible trash carrier which is wheeled for use in supporting a disposable plastic bag. The carrier is composed of a first and second pair of pivotal scissor type legs each having an upper end supporting a ring structure and a lower end provided with wheels so that the mouth of a plastic bag can be folded over the top of the ring and a tray is utilized between the legs to support the bottom of the bag. A keeper in the form of a ring with an annular recess sized to nest over the ring structure to hold a bag mouth zone is provided to keep the bag in position until it is full and to, thereafter, be removed for removal of the bag to dispose of it. The device is composed of pivotally interconnected parts for collapsibility.

  • Patent number: 3934894
Abstract: An enclosed cart for storing and transporting refuse or other bulky materials has an enclosing lid which overlies the opening to the container, preventing the undesirable entrance of rain or extraneous debris. The cart has a small central hole in the floor panel which allows water to drain from the interior. The cart has wheels at one edge and a handle at the other whereby it may be lifted and moved easily from place to place. The interior of the cart is adapted to enclose cans or bags. Special bag holders fit into the interior of the cart and cooperate with the upper edge of the cart to hold bags. The bag holders may be single or plural whereby one or more bags may be held. The bag holders hold the tops of the bags open and prevent the tops of the bags from being drawn into the interior of the cart under the weight of added material. The bag holders are formed of sheet metal stampings or fabricated from bent wire.
