Including Support, Stand, Or Rack Patents (Class 249/120)
  • Patent number: 4389036
Abstract: The invention provides apparatus and method for forming concrete blocks, panels and the like with a reduced number of parts and production operations. The apparatus and method of this invention is contemplated for use at a concrete-mixing plant having the usual components such as mixers, hoists, cranes, and other transport facilities available at most modern mixing plants. The apparatus of the invention includes a pallet having a generally flat upper surface. In addition, there is provided a generally rectangular mold frame having four integral and generally vertical upstanding sides. The frame is generally open on the top and bottom and is dimensioned for matably mounting on the pallet. Cavity-shaping means are mounted within the frame and above the pallet for shaping block-forming molding cavities which are arranged for receiving concrete aggregate thereinto, whereby blocks may be formed by the deposition of the aggregate thereinto.

  • Patent number: 4362497
Abstract: Food products are processed prior to consumption in a press form having multiple, separate, pre-selected planar food product molds, each having tapered walls, providing easy food product removal. The food products can have pastry dough exteriors and can be filled with selected food fillings held in position and shaped by dough crust exteriors. Multiple press form food product molds have regular planar shapes disposed multiple in a tray. One face of each product mold has a cutting-edge knife disposed thereon, conforming to the mold interior shape. The cutting-edge knife can be disposed at either mold wall taper terminus. A cooperatively shaped, one-piece negative pusher plug mold, sized to intercept each one of the multiple food product molds disposed in the tray, is used to cooperatively push each food product out of the molds in the tray simultaneously.

  • Patent number: 4228985
Abstract: A mold bed having a number of longitudinal mold cavities is surrounded by a reinforcement structure which permits the mold bed to be handled as a unitary product. Mold cavities have removable end walls, one at each of opposite ends, to promote releaseability of the product from the mold cavities once they are removed. The mold cavity has a trunnion, one at each of opposite ends of the mold body so that the mold body can be rotated from an upright position when it receives the concrete in the mold cavity to an upside down position whereby the products are removed of their own weight. Two transverse spaced channel straps extend across the open face of the cavity so that when the mold bed is turned upside down, the molded parts are held temporarily by the mold straps, which are then released by unbolting their connections with the mold bed. A fork-lift truck removes the molded parts ater the mold straps are removed.

  • Patent number: 4149697
Abstract: An outfit for manufacturing concrete units includes one frame, which can move along a rail-track, and two detachable forms-tilters on it. The length of the unit made in the forms can be varied. Each form has also detachable equipment (edges, dies, and dividing bars). Before stripping the units, the side edges of the form are thrown aside and the bottom edge is taken away. A detachable hinged clip which is fixed on the bottom side is moved into a working position. Then the form is turned over 90.degree., and the outfit moves to a rack. The top edge is thrown back, the clip is released, and the unit falls down on cushions. The outfit operates in the same manner on the other side of the rail-track. It is possible to manufacture in one form two or more units at the same time with corresponding increase in quantity of clips on the bottom side of the form.

  • Patent number: 4067941
Abstract: A series of mold cavities are made up of side plates which are pivoted on vertical offset hinges and each is movable one toward the other to define the mold cavities into which concrete is poured to form the slab. Certain of the vertical side walls have integrally related lateral wall elements which separate the side walls and complete the enclosure for the mold cavity. After the slabs have hardened, the side walls are forced apart by prying them at their upper corners causing each in turn to pivot on its respective axis and thereby opening the individual mold cavity and allowing withdrawal of the hardened slab therein.

Abstract: The present invention refers to improvements to receptacles for making ice cubes which make it possible to dislodge the ice cubes from the tray in an easy and simple manner once they have been taken from the freezer. Such is accomplished by means of a water chamber between the multiple mold and the tray which holds it, which upon being filled distributes water all around the ice cubes, dislodging them immediately. The tray also serves as a container once the cubes have been dislodged. To dislodge cubes it is unnecessary to hit the mold, submerge it in water or twist it.
