  • Patent number: 11324248
Abstract: Described herein is a process for applying granular material on an outer side of a foodstuff product (P). This process comprises the steps of: providing a mould (102) having a mould cavity (S?) that is delimited, at least partially, by at least one mobile wall (106); positioning the product (P) in the mould cavity by setting the outer side (p1) in a position facing and at a distance from the mobile wall; introducing granular material in the gap (112) comprised between the mobile wall (106) and the outer side of the product; and moving the mobile wall (106) towards the outer side of the product so that it comes to press the granular material against the outer side (p1) of the product (P).

  • Patent number: 11052569
Abstract: A mold system for a modular telescoping barrier and method of construction provides barriers arranged in a telescoping configuration with tight tolerances. The barriers are constructed with an inner and outer mold subassembly, separated by a gap. A shape-adapted funnel pours mold filling into gap between mold subassemblies. When mold filling dries, the mold subassemblies are removed to access a barrier. Barriers are nested with other barriers having incrementally larger or smaller perimeters to achieve telescoping configuration. A base barrier with a support flange supports multiple barriers. The inner and outer subassemblies are made up of individual panels fitted together end to end, and at corners in a tight relationship. Reinforcing structures abut the panels to prevent panels from bulging. The narrow end of the funnels includes clamps that press inwardly on the panels to prevent bulging. A level and an agitating mechanism enable mold filling to be poured uniformly.

Abstract: A mold and method for making a hollow core concrete block. The mold has two opposing side walls; a bottom wall; a front wall; a top side with an opening through which the block can be removed from the mold; a cover, and a rear side through which liquid, such as concrete, can be poured into the mold. Extending from the two side walls are a pair of trunnions about which the mold is rotatable, such that when the mold is suspended by the trunnions and the mold is empty, gravity rotates the mold from a block-removal orientation in which the top side faces upwards to a mold-filling orientation in which the rear side faces upwards. The trunnions are also positioned such that when the mold is filled with the liquid, gravity rotates the mold from the mold-filling orientation to the block-removal orientation.

  • Patent number: 8485494
Abstract: The concepts disclosed herein provide for a concrete mold that improves upon existing concrete molds known in the art. The hinged side-panel members that are locked to a hold-down frame allow for the mold to cure a concrete member, and then allow the concrete member to be removed without the need to break-down the frame surrounding the concrete member. During the pouring and ensuing curing process of the concrete member, the hinged side-panel members are secured to the hold-down frame and to each other in order to hold the concrete in the mold. Once the concrete is cured, the hinged side-panel members may be unlocked and opened quickly, allowing for expedient removal of the concrete member. After closing and re-locking the hinged side-panel members, the mold may be reused to cure another concrete member without the need to rebuild the frame around the mold.

Abstract: A method of making a mold includes the steps of determining the contours of the part to be produced, forming pattern stations having a surface conforming to a contour of the part at a given location, placing the stations in spaced apart relationship, filling the spaces, vacuum forming a plastic material to a portion and applying a mold making material. An alternative method includes the steps of determining the contours of the part to be produced, forming pattern stations each having a surface conforming to a contour of the part at a given location, joining the stations together such that their surfaces form substantially the complete contour of the part and covering a portion of the pattern with a plastic material. The stations may be releasably joined together such that one or more may be removed and substituted with one or more different stations.

Abstract: An ice bar tray for making various lengths of ice bars for use in different types and sizes of water bags. Each ice bar has a round cross section for ease in inserting into circular water fill openings in a water bag. The ice bar tray includes at least one elongated bar cylinder with a tray handle on each end. The bar cylinder has an elongated cylinder opening in a top of the cylinder for receiving water into a water channel. The water channel has a circular cross section. The water channel is disposed along a length of the elongated cylinder. When the water channel is filled with water and the water frozen, a round ice bar is formed therein. By flexing the ice bar tray, which is made of a flexible PVC plastic material and the like, the frozen ice bar is released outwardly from the water channel and through the cylinder opening. Abstract: A mold assembly is provided for use in the blow molding of plastic containers such as those used for containing milk or water. The assembly includes a pair of main mold bodies, each having a cavity which is used for forming the main body of the container. A top block assembly is removably mounted to each main mold body. Each top block assembly includes a top block body, a neck finish insert, a shear steel and a master seal. A rotatable cam is operatively associated with the top block assembly. Rotation of the cam causes a front face of the top block assembly to be moved with respect to the front face of the main mold body with which it is associated. Each top block body further includes alignment members, such as alignment pins and/or bushings, for ensuring proper alignment of the top block assemblies along the parting plane of the mold. Abstract: An adjustable divider assembly for use with an open-top mold for creating a countertop with a built-up edge, the mold being rectangular in shape with a flat planar surface, first, second and third built-up and inwardly contoured edges and a fourth open edge. A U-shaped divider bar includes a central elongated member and first and second side elongated members which is pivotally attached along the four open edge of the mold using a pin and slot type arrangement and is rotated into the mold so that the elongated members of the divider bar are arranged in a desired spaced apart fashion relative to the opposing contoured mold surfaces. Suspending members extend forwardly from the central elongated member and position the bar at an elevated position above the planar mold surface. A first pour of plasticized resinous material is applied over the planar mold surface according to a predetermined depth, following which the divider bar is attached and rotated into an installed position within the mold.

Abstract: The mold that belongs to a cardboard box forming machine is comprised of four forming corners, equal to each other, assembled in such a way that they can be moved longitudinally and transversally in order to carry out the adjustment of length as well as width of the boxes to be formed. The adjustment of length is achieved as a result of the corners being assembled on bushings threaded on spindles, each one of the latter having two sections threaded in a different direction so that the rotation of the former involves contrary movement of each pair of forming corners assembled on each spindle. The adjustment of width is achieved on the grounds of movement of said forming corners along linear guides upon which corresponding bridges slide. Forming corners are also completed with means retaining the box during its formation and pressing means for gluing of the corresponding laps.
