  • Patent number: 10046961
Abstract: A closure system suitable for sealing a growler and dispensing beer under the influence of gravity and atmospheric pressure through a conventional tap faucet. A growler sealed with the closure system is held in an inverted position by a support system. The closure system is lower than the body of the growler and is connected to a conventional tap faucet. The closure system includes a cap with a manually operated valve. The valve rotates from a closed position to an open one, which opens two channels in the cap: one to conduct beer from the growler to the tap and the other to conduct ambient air into a collapsed bladder—which is an integral part of the cap—when the tap is opened to dispense beer. The collapsible bladder expands into the growler when the beer is dispensed to take up the volume vacated by the beer. The closure system and the support can be included in a kit, alternatively each component can be packaged as a stand-alone item.

Abstract: A duel fuel gas control valve controls the supply of gas (e.g., natural gas or liquid propane gas) to a gas grill. The duel fuel gas control valve is structured to control either natural or LP gas flow at the desired operating characteristics based on conventional gas supply characteristics and gas grill requirements. A restrictor mechanism, when in first and second configurations, respectively, restricts movement of the valve core to a first predetermined range for a first mode of operation (first type of gas supply) and to a second predetermined range for a second mode of operation (second type of gas supply).

Abstract: An air driven diaphragm pump includes an performance control actuator having a housing with opposed air chambers. The pump includes pump chambers facing the air chambers and pump diaphragms extending between each air chamber and each pump chamber, respectively. The actuator further includes an air valve, an intake to the air valve and an engagement. The intake includes an intake passage and a performance control intake adjuster rotatably mounted. The intake adjuster has a helical channel and a closure element extending adjustably into the intake passage. The engagement engages the helical channel for control of the intake. The helical channel has varied pitch to provide a nonlinear relationship between rotation and axial advancement of the intake adjuster. The nonlinear relationship gives flow rate proportional to the angular rotation of the intake adjuster.

Abstract: A plug valve having an entry region, a chamber, and an outlet region, each with a flow area that is equal to or greater than the flow area of, for example, a standard wall ANSI B 36.10 (M) pipe connected to the inlet and outlet flanges of the valve. The valve's plug has a cylindrical front sealing face and a planar rear face. The axis of the sealing face is parallel to, but off-set from the axis of the plug. When the valve is fully open the planar rear face allows unimpeded flow through the chamber and substantially reduces friction to the flow. The valve's seat is cylindrical for mating with the cylindrical front sealing face of the plug. The seat has a rectangular outline shape.
