The shaft extends through the installation hole of the housing and is connected with a switch which is operated to rotate the ball valve between open and sealed positions. The water does not contact the metallic parts and the structure is simple and easily assembled.

    Abstract: The disclosed embodiments include systems and methods for retaining a seat insert of a ball valve in place within a seat ring of the ball valve. In particular, the seat insert is an annular ring having a tapered section on an outer wall of the annular ring. The tapered section of the seat insert is configured to mate with a shoulder in an outer surface of a profiled groove of the seat ring. The seat insert snaps into the profiled groove with the shoulder, thereby preventing axial movement of the seat insert with respect to the profiled groove of the seat ring. In addition, a locking ring also fits within the profiled groove of the seat ring to prevent axial and radial movement of the seat insert with respect to the profiled groove of the seat ring. More specifically, once the seat insert has been snapped into place within the profiled groove of the seat ring, the locking ring is also inserted into the profiled groove of the seat ring.

    Abstract: A non-contaminating gas-tight valve for controlling a flow of granular polysilicon. The valve has a spherical valve member formed from single-crystal polysilicon, so that any particles worn from the valve member during use will be non-contaminating polysilicon. The valve member has a passage through which granular polysilicon flows when the valve is in an open position. When rotated perpendicular to the flow, the passage no longer permits movement of granular polysilicon through the valve. The valve member has a smooth finish and is wiped clean when rotated against non-abrasive upper and lower seats, reducing the likelihood of valve member wear. A cavity between the valve member and the valve body allows for removal of excess granular polysilicon from the valve, inhibiting the valve from seizing due to excess granular polysilicon slipping past the upper valve seat and accumulating within the valve. The valve additionally forms a gas-tight seal between an upstream and downstream side of the valve.

    Abstract: Method for preparing melamine from urea via a high-pressure process in which solid melamine is obtained by transferring the melamine melt to an expansion vessel where the melamine melt is cooled by incorporated ammonia. Excess ammonia gas is added to the melamine melt to produce a gas/liquid mixture having a mass ratio of at least 0.01. This two-phase mixture is then sprayed via a spraying means into an expansion vessel, the expansion vessel having an ammonia environment with a reduced ammonia pressure. The melamine melt is cooled and solidified by the expansion and evaporation of the incorporated ammonia to form melamine powder. The melamine melt is thereby directly converted into a melamine powder after which the melamine powder is cooled further and the ammonia pressure is released.
