Head Removable Perpendicular To Flow Passage Patents (Class 251/315.11)
  • Patent number: 11828385
Abstract: To provide a flow control valve seal that is manufactured at a low cost, that makes wear damage of a rotor with which the flow control valve seal slidably contacts less, and that is superior in its low leak performance, low friction performance, and low wear performance. A seal (6) is installed in a flow control valve device (1) including a housing (2) having an introduction part (5) that receives a cooling water from an internal combustion engine, and a resin rotor (4) disposed in the housing (2) and having a spherical outer peripheral surface (4a), the rotor (4) being rotated relative to the housing (2). The seal (6) is disposed between the introduction part (5) and the rotor (4) in the housing (2) and slidably contacts with the outer peripheral surface (4a) of the rotor (4). The seal (6) is an injection molded body of a resin composition having injection-moldable fluororesin as a base resin.

  • Patent number: 11680647
Abstract: A valve for controlling a fluid flow comprises: (a) a valve body having an internal cavity; (b) a valve stem receivable within the internal cavity; the valve stem having a control portion configured and a tail portion; the control portion having a first diameter thereof; (c) a deformable valve seat carried by the control portion in a coaxial conformal manner; and (d) a ring mountable within the internal cavity. The control portion has a circumferentially arranged area adjacent to the tail portion. The circumferentially arranged area is of a second diameter smaller than the first diameter. The ring is mountable between a nut and the valve seat such that the nut when secured to the valve body presses onto the valve seat such that the valve seat is deformed within a space between the circumferentially arranged area defined by the second diameter and fills the space in a sealed manner.

  • Patent number: 8807530
Abstract: A bottom entry plastic ball valve comprises a valve stem cap (1), a valve stem (2), a valve stem sealing ring (3), a valve stem end surface sealing ring (4), a valve ball sealing ring (5), a supporting ring (6) for the valve ball sealing ring, a valve ball (7), a connecting pipe (8), and a valve body (9). A hollow valve ball chamber (911) is provided inside the valve body (9), the valve body (9) is provided with a valve bottom cover hole (912) just below the valve ball chamber (911), and the width of the valve bottom cover hole (912) is larger than the diameter of the valve ball (7). The ball valve also comprises a valve bottom cover (10) corresponding to the valve bottom cover hole (912) so that the valve bottom cover (10) can cover the valve bottom cover hole (912) and can be fusion-bonded to the valve body (9), thereby avoiding the need for electric fusion welding in the manufacture of large-diameter ball valves.

  • Patent number: 8720854
Abstract: A seal assembly is provided for a rotary ball valve having a top-mounted bonnet, thereby allowing the seal assembly to be installed and removed without removing the valve from the pipeline. In an embodiment, the seal assembly may include a seal ring disposed within the valve interior and biased toward the ball element of the valve. A seal carrier may be disposed between the seal ring and the valve body, and the seal carrier may be removably secured to the valve body by a plurality of bolts disposed in the valve interior. A primary leak path may exists between the seal ring and the seal carrier and a secondary leak path may exists between the seal carrier and the valve body. A first and second auxiliary seal may prevent fluid flow through the primary and secondary leak path, respectively.

  • Patent number: 8316953
Abstract: A well tubing valve including a substantially tubular body connected in a tubular string and a rotational valve member having at least one aperture. The valve member is a sleeve having a part spherical surface, is rotationally moveable relative to the body to align and misalign the at least one aperture in the valve member with a port in the body. The valve member is actuable to rotate relative to the body in a single direction, and moves from the open position to a closed position and back by rotation in the same sense. The valve also includes a sealing arrangement adapted to provide a metal seal that is biased to seal against the part spherical surface.

  • Patent number: 7793679
Abstract: A drain valve and method for assembling a drain valve. A valve assembly is inserted into a pipe, and a reduced diameter portion is formed in the pipe to create a substantially water-tight seal between a portion of the valve assembly and the pipe. A second reduced diameter portion may be formed in the pipe to provide a thrust bearing surface for resisting sliding movement of the valve assembly within the pipe. A transverse hole is provided in the pipe to provide access to a rotatable mechanism in the valve assembly to permit and restrict fluid flow through the drain valve.

  • Patent number: 6488261
Abstract: A ball valve includes a valve body, a cap, a disk spring, a driven member, and a spherical body. The disk spring and the driven member are disposed in the cap such that the driven member is urged by the disk spring to displace, thereby causing the driven member to push PTFE washers to come in contact with the spherical body.

Abstract: An improved ball valve assembly is provided for use on firefighting equipment and other applications. The ball valve assembly includes an improved seal assembly which includes both a load bearing seal element and a soft elastomeric seal element. Both seal elements are held in place by a seat member which is accommodated in a recess provided on the inside surface of the seat housing or valve body. The load bearing seal member provides support for the ball element and serves to wipe or remove debris from the ball element before the ball element engages the soft elastomer seal. As a result, the load bearing seal member removes the stress normally imparted to soft elastomer seals utilized in ball valve assemblies. Further, a lubrication fitting and passageways are provided which enable lubricant to be communicated through the housing and through the seal assembly to the ball element.
