Abstract: A cable steering system directs steel cables, for lifting cabinet shelf. The cable steering system includes left and right devices each comprising a first transmission wheel for horizontally turning the cable, and a second transmission wheel for vertically turning the cable which extends out from the first transmission wheel; and the cable extending out from the second transmission wheel is located in the middle of a side edge of the cabinet body. With the steel cable steering devices of the lifting cabinet, each steel cable extends horizontally along the first transmission wheel, and then is directed vertically downwardly by the second transmission wheel, thereby the cable is connected to a middle part of a side edge of the lifting shelf, so that the lifting shelf bears a balanced force.

  • Patent number: 7931178
Abstract: A suspended-load backpack designed to permit the load to move relative to the wearer during walking and running so that the large movements between the load and the wearer of the backpack reduce the fluctuations of vertical motion of the load with respect to ground. Because the hip (and thus the pack body) goes up a down a good deal during walking, a large relative movement between the wearer and the load reduces the absolute excursion of the load. This movement may be, in turn, transferred to a motor through, for example, a rack and pinion gear, to convert the mechanical movement to electrical or mechanical energy. Such movement of the suspended-load relative to the wearer also reduces the forces on the wearer's body while walking or running, thus reducing the likelihood of orthopedic injury.

The invention consist of a compact and collapsible triangular support frame which contains a plurality of pulleys in a block and tackle arrangement. The block and tackle can be actuated by a hoist rope (92) to raise and lower game feeders/game animals providing a 6:1 lift to pull ratio. One pulley in the block and tackle arrangement is limited to rotation in a single direction and is positioned to automatically lock as objects are being hoisted. Locking pulley (50) can be unlocked by activating the locking pulley release (49) via the locking pulley release line (51) to allow pulley rotation in either direction. • Patent number: 7389973
Abstract: A line tensioning system for regulating tension on a line having a proximal end and a distal end, where the proximal end is operatively connected to a drum. The line tensioning system comprises a frame, a first and second sets of rollers, and first and second sets of displacement assemblies. The frame defines first and second side edges. Each first and second displacement assembly is arranged to displace at least one of the first and second rollers relative to the first and second side edges of the frame, respectively. The line is arranged such that the line contacts the first and second rollers. The first and second displacement assemblies displace the first and second rollers relative to the first and second edges based on a tension on the line.

Abstract: The device enables a switch from the pulley blocks being rigged with one strand to the pulley blocks being rigged with two strands and vice versa. The jib tip has a pulley moveable along its axle between a central position, when the blocks are rigged with one strand, and a lateral position, when the blocks are rigged with two strands. The lifting block, with housing of symmetric shape, comprises a pulley and retractable guide means for the lifting cable. When the blocks are rigged for two strands, the end of the cable is connected to a point of attachment situated on the jib tip, on the opposite side to the lateral position of the pulley. When the blocks are rigged with one strand, the end of the cable is connected to a point of attachment situated on the pulley block. This device for changing the rigging of the blocks applies mainly to luffing cranes.

Abstract: The invention provides modular drive and deflector sheave assemblies for raising and lowering elevator cars and for deflecting a support rope or cable in different directions with minimal wear. The drive sheave assemblies of the invention provide sufficient traction between a support rope, e.g., nylon-jacketed Kevlar suspension rope, and sheave to raise and lower elevator cars without requiring more than 180° of contact between the rope and drive sheave. Such a drive sheave assembly can advantageously have a non-rope-pinching groove, thereby minimizing wear on the rope and vibration during operation.
