Resilient Tire-casing Spreaders Patents (Class 254/50.1)
  • Patent number: 11891148
Abstract: A bicycle-mountable carrier assembly includes a mounting assembly attachable to a rail of the bicycle's saddle. At least one payload support is joined, e.g., pivotably, to the mounting assembly. The payload support defines a structure for mounting at least one payload carrier attachment in a secure but removable fashion. One or more payload supports may be provided, and one or more mounting structures may be provided on each payload support. The mounting structures may be provided in a rear-and side-facing positions and in different angular orientations, for carrying of payloads in a variety of different positions and orientations. The carrier further includes at least one payload carrier attachment defining a mounting structure complementary to the payload support's mounting structure. The payload carrier may be adapted to function as a fishing rod holder, a fishing rod case holder, a water bottle, a fishing tackle box, or another payload as desired.

  • Patent number: 10906366
Abstract: A tire spreader has a pair of tire engaging members pivotally interconnected at a coupling location, each supporting a tire engaging element for contacting a sidewall of a tire. The tire engaging members can be pivotally actuated relative to one another from a neutral position, in which the sidewalls are spaced apart at a regular spacing, to a self-retaining spreading position in which the tire engaging elements are spaced further apart than in the neutral position so as to spread the sidewalls further apart from their regular spacing. First and second pivotally interconnected links are provided, with one of the links connected to the first tire engaging member between the coupling location and the tire engaging element of this first member, while the other one of the links is connected to the second engaging member spaced from the coupling location in a direction distal to the tire engaging element thereof.

  • Patent number: 9550278
Abstract: A tire bead locking tool is provided. The tool may include a body; a first jaw connected to the body; a second jaw pivotally connected to the body and located to oppose the first jaw; a locking mechanism configured to selectively lock the first and second jaws in a relative position with respect to each other; and a resilient member attached to one of the first and second jaws and located between the first and second jaws. A method of manufacturing may also be provide. The method may include: forming a body; forming a pair of jaws on the body wherein at least one of the jaws pivots with respect to the body; attaching a resilient member to at least one of the jaws; and forming a locking mechanism that can selectively lock the jaws in a position; and extending a handle further from the jaws than the locking mechanism.

  • Patent number: 6913061
Abstract: A tool for demounting a first and second bead of a tire mounted on a rim, the tool comprising a handle having a first end for disengaging a first tire bead from a rim and a second opposite end for disengaging a second tire bead from the rim. The first handle end includes a heel extending radially outward from the handle; an elongate arm portion extending radially outward from the heel and forming a forward opening crook; a raised arm portion disposed adjacent the crook; and a tip extending radially outward from the body portion. The opposite second end of the tool handle is configured to disengage a second bead of the tire from the rim and includes a heel extending radially outward from the handle; an elongate lever arm portion extending radially outward from the heel and defining an open crook adjacent the heel; and an elongate raised arm portion adjacent the crook extending outward to a tip portion.
