    Abstract: A system and method for securing a cable with decorative lights to an existing cable is disclosed. An outdoor lighting clip which comprises a curve and annular portion for securing two cables in proximity to each other. In use, the annular portion has a slot which may be secured over a first cable such that the clip hangs from the first cable. A second cable may then be hung on the curve of the clip, such that the first cable and second cable remain in proximity to each other. This allows the second cable to have lighting decorations hanging without sagging in the middle of cable and without the cable needing to be in tension between two anchor points. Many lighting decorations include a loop on their cable for hanging from hooks, and this clip is compatible with allowing the second cable to hang from the clip by the loop.

The system may be used to erect a new board fence, transition from an existing wire t-post fence to a board fence, and to construct, or assist in the construction of, sheds, coops, barns, and other similar outbuildings.

Because of the mechanical attachment and the ability of the braided elements to flex in both contraction and extension, the device of this invention can be used in tight corners and other contorted locations without having the wires of the typical prior art device pull free of the base.

The insulator includes a fastener at the opening to close to a secure position using a simple clipping motion after the insulating band is positioned on the fence post at a selected height. The insulator may be retrofitted to existing installations with fence wire already installed without a need to access the fence post from the top to the section requiring electrical insulation.

The signal processing unit calculates the location of the disturbance area after receiving the reflected electric signal. In one preferred embodiment, the signal processing unit calculates the location of the disturbance area by determining the amount of time required for the reflected signal to travel from the disturbance area.

    Abstract: An electric repeater for use in transmission line based electric fences. The electric repeater comprises a forward amplifier, a backward amplifier, a quad pole quad throw signal switch, and a monostable circuit. The short forward electric pulse in the transmission line is amplified by the forward amplifier, and the amplified electric pulse trigger the monostable circuit. The monostable circuit then outputs a n electric pulse with predetermined width. This electric pulse operates the quad pole quad throw signal switch such that the wire pair of the transmission line is connected to the backward amplifier and disconnected from the forward amplifier as soon as the forward electric pulse has passed through the forward amplifier. DC electric power is supplied to the forward amplifier and backward amplifier by the transmission line metal wire pair, and two pairs of capacitors are used to block this DC electric power from entering the input and output of the forward and backward amplifiers.

The braided elements can be mechanically attached using a simple sewing operation in which the braid is sewn to the base. Because of the mechanical attachment and the ability of the braided elements to flex in both contraction and extension, the device of this invention can be used in tight corners and other contorted locations without having the wires of the typical prior art device pull free of the base.
