  • Patent number: 9790102
Abstract: A feed liquid flows into a second-stage humidifier chamber to form a second-stage humidifier bath. A first remnant of the feed liquid from the second-stage humidifier chamber then flows into a first-stage humidifier chamber to form a first-stage humidifier bath having a temperature lower than that of the second-stage bath. A second remnant of the feed liquid is then removed from the first-stage humidifier. Meanwhile, a carrier gas is injected into and bubbled through the first-stage humidifier bath, collecting a vaporizable component in vapor form from the first remnant of the feed liquid to partially humidify the carrier gas. The partially humidified carrier gas is then bubbled through the second-stage humidifier bath, where the carrier gas collects more of the vaporizable component in vapor form from the feed liquid to further humidify the carrier gas before the humidified carrier gas is removed from the second-stage humidifier chamber.

Abstract: A humidifying apparatus includes a base, a water tank removably mounted on the base for supplying water to a chamber of the base, and a motor-driven impeller for generating an air flow over water stored in the chamber. An ultraviolet radiation emitting lamp irradiates water stored in the chamber. The air flow is humidified with water from the chamber, and conveyed by an outlet duct towards an air outlet for emission from the apparatus. A detachable section of the water tank is opaque to ultraviolet radiation and is positioned over the chamber when the water tank is mounted on the base. The detachable section of the water tank includes an air inlet of the outlet duct and a flange for occluding a peripheral portion of the chamber.

  • Patent number: 9518750
Abstract: Disclosed is a humidification device capable of satisfying both necessary and sufficient humidification abilities and energy conserving. A humidification filter unit is immersed into water and rotates to facilitate the absorption of water. When the time from stopping of the humidification operation to the restarting thereof is long and the amount of water absorption is insufficient, the humidification filter unit rotates continuously for a predetermined time when the humidification operation restarts, and then rotates intermittently. Meanwhile, when the time from stopping of the humidification operation to the restarting thereof is short and the amount water absorption is sufficient, the humidification filter unit rotates intermittently during the humidification operation. The rotating stop time of the humidification filter unit for each intermittent rotation is set depending on the air blowing quantity of a blower fan.

  • Patent number: 9440199
Abstract: A wine aerator includes a seal configured to engage an opening of an uncorked wine bottle. A gas conduit passes through the seal and is configured to be attachable to a gas source supplying air and/or oxygen inside the uncorked wine bottle thereby aerating the wine. A bubble-generating aeration element is disposed at the gas conduit distal end. A bubble-reducing filter element is in fluidic communication with the inside and outside of the uncorked wine bottle through the seal, wherein the bubble-reducing filter element is disposed at, near and/or within the seal. When the seal is engaged with the opening of the uncorked wine bottle the bubble-reducing filter element separates the inside from the outside of the uncorked wine bottle. The bubble-reducing filter element helps to reduce the amount of bubbles that are being generated from the wine aerator during the aeration process.
