Abstract: A control section starts cranking of an engine with a first opening degree upon detection of a first operation signal, and, if the engine has reached a predetermined number of rotations through a predetermined number of times of the cranking with the first opening degree, the control section starts running of the engine in a first mode corresponding to the first opening degree. If the engine has not reached the predetermined number of rotations through the predetermined number of times of the cranking with the first opening degree, the control section starts cranking with a second opening degree, and, if the engine has reached the predetermined number of rotations through the predetermined number of times of the cranking with the second opening degree, the control section starts running of the engine in a second mode corresponding to the second opening degree.

Abstract: An internal combustion engine that includes a carburetor having a choke valve and an actuator configured to move the choke valve between a closed choke position and an open choke position. A passageway is configured to direct a pressure pulse from the engine into a fuel chamber of the carburetor. The engine further includes a priming valve at least partially located within the passageway. The priming valve is configured to move between an open primer position that allows the pressure pulse to enter the fuel chamber through the passageway and a closed primer position that substantially restricts the pressure pulse from entering the fuel chamber through the passageway. The priming valve is configured to move between the open primer position and the closed primer position by the actuator when the actuator moves the choke valve between the closed choke position and the open choke position, respectively.
Abstract: An auto-enrichener for an engine, including an enriching conduit for carrying fuel and air to an engine, and a valve disposed in the conduit. The valve is adjustable between at least an open configuration and a closed configuration. In the open configuration passage of fuel and air through the conduit is enabled, and in the closed configuration passage of fuel and air through the conduit is not enabled. The auto-enrichener also includes a thermal expansion element in communication with the valve. The thermal expansion element expands with increasing temperature and contracts with decreasing temperature to activate the valve. The auto-enrichener also includes a heater that hears the thermal expansion element when the engine is operated.
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a fuel supply system comprising a carburetor including a fuel bowl, an air induction passage including therein a venturi, a throttle valve located in the air induction passage downstream of the venturi, a fuel enrichment conduit communicating between the fuel bowl and the air induction passage downstream of the throttle valve, and a temperature responsive valve for admitting air to the fuel enrichment conduit when the ambient temperature is above a predetermined level and for admitting air to the air induction passage when the engine temperature is below the predetermined level.
