With Parallel Carbureting Passages Patents (Class 261/41.2)
  • Patent number: 11591989
Abstract: A carburetor drain apparatus includes a carburetor bowl, a fuel supply pipe, a fuel drain pipe, and a bail interface. The carburetor bowl is configured to store fuel and provide the fuel to an air passage. The fuel supply pipe is connected a fuel tank and the carburetor bowl. The fuel drain pipe is connected to the carburetor bowl. The bail interface is configured to operate in response to actuation of a bail to open the fuel drain pipe.

  • Patent number: 10830183
Abstract: A fuel discharge nozzle for discharging fuel into an airflow passageway of a barrel of a carburetor includes a nozzle body that is attached to the carburetor and has proximal and distal ends. The nozzle body defines a fuel inlet that receives fuel, spaced apart fuel outlets disposed between the proximal and distal ends of the nozzle body that permit the fuel to flow out of the nozzle body, and a fuel passage fluidly connecting the fuel inlet and the fuel outlets so that the fuel can flow from the fuel inlet to the fuel outlets. The nozzle body is sized and shaped to position the fuel outlets in the airflow passageway of the barrel of the carburetor when the nozzle body is attached to the carburetor so that the fuel flows into the airflow passageway of the carburetor and mixes with air after the fuel flows out of the fuel outlets.

  • Patent number: 7806096
Abstract: In line carburetor (104) is mounted to a manifold (140) over the engine (800). The barrels of the carburetor deliver air/fuel suspensions to concentrated positions (152) of the manifold, with the concentrated positions being at opposite ends of the engine. The ports leading from the manifold to the runners are equally positioned about the concentrated positions (152) so that the runners are of substantially equal length and resistance, thereby providing more uniform delivery of the air/fuel suspension to the cylinders.

  • Patent number: 7104253
Abstract: In one presently preferred embodiment a stratified scavenging carburetor has a scavenging air passage with an air control valve and a fuel and air mixing passage with a throttle control valve, and a lost motion coupling associated with the valves to delay opening of the closed air valve until the throttle valve has partially opened from its idle position to an off idle position and preferably thereafter to open the air valve in phased relationship with the throttle valve so that the valves become wide open at substantially the same time. Preferably the coupling has reels associated with the valve and connected by a flexible cord.
