Abstract: A method of minimizing compression set of foam includes introducing a composition including a first component and a second component that is reactive with the first component into a cavity of a mold, curing the composition to form a foam inside the cavity, demolding the foam, and heating the foam by induction after demolding to thereby minimize compression set of the foam. A method includes introducing the composition into the cavity, heating the mold via conduction of the mold to thereby cure the composition and form the foam inside the cavity, heating the foam by induction before demolding to thereby minimize compression set of the foam, and demolding the foam. The foam includes a reaction product of the first and second components. The foam has a compression set after heat aging of ?10% at 10 minutes after the foam is demolded from the cavity of the mold.

The web is patterned to generate raised regions and lowered regions in the first surface, and then heat treated to cause at least part of the thermoplastic fibers to form nodules, thereby imparting abrasive properties to at least the raised regions of the first surface. The non-woven web preferably includes a second layer adjacent to a second surface of the web made up primarily of fibers which do not form nodules under the heat treatment.

Abstract: The present invention provides a method of animal skins fragmentation, reorganization and molding and a product of reorganized skin was made up. The method includes wet grinding wet animal skins after fulling them with water; adding pieces of animal meat, vegetables, fruit and/or vegetable juice and fruit Juices into the comminuted wet skin at the temperature of 20-90° C., and the amount should be less than 70 wt. % of the total weight; and then degassing, shaping, placeing, gelling, and drying the wet skins; Before the degassing approach, a step of adding aycl/aldehyde-transfer enzyme which is less than 3.5 wt. % of the total weight into comminuted wet shin and mixing them thoroughly in temperature of 20-70° C. can also be in the progress. The reorganized skin is 0.2-10 mm thick, and it can be used as feed for pets. For example, it can be shaped as various forms of dog chew toys, artificial dog bones, edible pet toys or directly used for packing products by plastic forming mold.

Abstract: The invention relates to film products containing desired levels of active components and methods of their preparation. Desirably, the films disintegrate in water and may be formed by a controlled drying process, or other process that maintains the required uniformity of the film. Desirably, the films may be exposed to temperatures above that at which the active components typically degrade without concern for loss of the desired activity.

Abstract: A high strength hydrogel having a constant swelling pressure upon implantation and thereafter is formed by preparing a hydrogel solution and then injecting the solution into a mold and cause to gel. The molded gel is then washed in a saline solution from about one day to twelve weeks, after which the gel is irradiated for sterilization purposes, dehydrated and packaged. The pre-treatment with the use of a physiologic solution results in an implant which exhibits a constant swelling pressure profile after implantation.

Abstract: A method for removing supports from a three-dimensional objected formed by selective deposition modeling. The three-dimensional object is formed from a curable phase change material and the supports are formed from a non-curable phase change material. The curable phase change material contains between about 5% to about 25% of a non-reactive wax in order to achieve the desired phase change characteristics of the material. When removing the supports with heat, discoloration undesirably occurs in the three-dimensional object as the non-reactive wax migrates within the object. The method prevents wax migration by cooling the object slowly past the freezing point of the build material such that a temperature differential no greater than about 5° C. is present within the object. With the preferred build material having a freezing point of about 49.5° C., this is achieved by lowering the temperature between about 62° C. to about 52° C.
