Abstract: A method of forming and assembling a foldable plastic utility enclosure using molds to form sides of the enclosure, preferably using glass fiber-reinforced thermoplastic composite. The molds are constructed to form a central hole in hinge members which are formed on ends of the sides. The central hole of the hinge member is molded with two molding parts, wherein one or both of the molding parts have a solid central portion that forms the central hole. The sides are removed from the molds after curing and the sides are assembled to form the utility enclosure while the sides are still hot from the molding process. Hinge pins are inserted into the central holes of the hinge members to form hinges and to prevent the sides from warping during cooling. Assembling the sides and inserting hinge pins to form the utility enclosure is completed within approximately 10 minutes after removing the sides from the molds.

Abstract: The purpose of the present invention is to make it possible to shorten the time required for a burr removal step and make it difficult for the burrs to detach from a sheet member in a step for removing the burrs together with the sheet member. For removal, by making the burrs to adhere to a pliable sheet member such as paper or nonwoven fabric that has been incorporated beforehand in the molding die and stripping the sheet member from the molding die, the burrs are removed together with the sheet member. The present invention is characterized in that in order to make it difficult for the burrs to detach from the sheet member during the stripping, a radiused shape with an arc-shaped cross-section is formed by the molding die on the areas surrounding the sections where the burrs adhere to the sheet member.

Abstract: Equipping engine cooling fans with flaps, in particular ram-air flaps, which are opened by the relative wind and can close again by means of gravity at a vehicle standstill, is known. Until know, it has been common to install such ram-air flaps manually on a frame of the engine cooling fan. However, all of said embodiment concepts require complex motion guidance during the installation in/on the frame.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for the production of bodies in plastic comprising two portions hinged to each other by a single rotation pin. The method comprises the steps: a) predisposing a mold with two distinct forming chambers for the two portions; the mold comprises a third chamber for the single pin, made and positioned in such a way that the pin is formed already aligned along the hinge axis; the mold is provided with a pair of pegs axially distanced from each other to form the third chamber and sliding along the axis between a first and a second operating position; b) positioning the pegs in the first position; c) injecting plastic material inside the chambers; d) shifting the pegs from the first to the second position, bringing the pin to engage inside the seats; e) opening the mold and extracting the two assembled portions.

Abstract: A drink through spout cap system including a drink through spout cap and a coupler. The inner wall of the base housing can be substantially smooth and does not engage threads of a beverage bottle after the beverage bottle is received within the base housing. The inner wall of the base housing can be lined with a flexible material to enable the base housing to engage with the threads of a beverage bottle to conform to the bottle threads facilitating additional grip and seal. Accordingly, an appropriately sized cap can be used with a selected size of a common beverage bottle, regardless of the threads of beverage bottle. The coupler is received in the beverage bottle for coupling the beverage bottle to the base housing of the cap. The coupler includes an aperture therein for allowing a beverage in the beverage bottle to flow through the aperture to the spout.
