The motor generates a driving force to rotate the setting roller. The flap swings between a standby position and a feeding position, and, when at the standby position, does not allow transport of a sheet. The setting guide swings between a standby position and a feeding position, and, when at the standby position, separates a sheet from the setting roller. • Patent number: 7513496
Abstract: When a paper feed cassette is again mounted, a pressing portion of a pressing member is brought into contact from the front side on a second surface of an extending portion of a contacting member, and the contacting member is pressed by the pressing member to be displaced from the retract position to the contact position. At this time, the pressing portion of the contacting member presses a pressed portion of a disc member to rotate a third cam itself in the counterclockwise direction in the drawing. Accordingly, the lift lever locked by the third cam is released, and an end portion of an arm member is allowed to move upward.

  • Patent number: 7506867
Abstract: A paper feeding device comprises an upper frame, a pickup roller assembly connected to the upper frame and a lower frame. The pickup roller assembly includes a roller frame, a separating roller, a pickup roller, and a belt sleeved on both the separating roller and the pickup roller. The separating roller and the pickup roller are connected to the roller frame. The belt impels the separating roller and the pickup roller to press against the roller frame. When the separating roller rotates, the friction created between the separating roller and the roller frame and the friction created between the pickup roller and the roller frame drives the pickup roller assembly to rotate, then the paper is fed into the paper feeding device. The structure of the paper feeding device is simple and the cost is lower than the conventional one, moreover, it is convenient to assemble.
